[APP] PixelMaster camera modes on AOSP ROM

Conscise: PixelMaster Camera on AOSP ROM doesn't show the 'Manual Mode' feature. Need app hack/trick/workaround.

Hey guys, just flashed the Slim ROM for our Z008 and I was delighted to see that ZenUI apps work on AOSP (some manufacturers like to block it) after I downloaded the PixelMaster Camera apk from the ZenFone blog.

However, the main feature that I love about our camera, the manual mode seems to not appear in the camera (unlike in stock ROM). And a line on the blog post says "Features subject to hardware/software limitations."

Now we know that's not the case so I'm guessing it's a driver issue or something since the ROM is still in beta.

Can we think of a workaround or a hack/trick or a build.prop edit or something like that to make the camera app think we have the required hardware/software?

Downloaded Official android update on rooted motoe Stuck now

I rooted my motoe lollipop (1st gen),it worked.
Today i got an official update from android and i downloaded it,
but when i installed it i gone to twrp. I rebooted it but it keeps on rebooting every minute

So I'm new to this phone modding stuff... I got an Lg G2 for cheap and wanted it on my straight talk and got some assistance with it, it didn't work so I tried T Mobile, now my phone just isn't working.This is what happened:
So I payed a guy to put cyanogenmod on my phone being i didn't know what i was doing. It didn't work on straight talk so a guy on reddit said he could help, he had me do this: http://imgur.com/RNKGJiD That seems to have put an unofficial cyanogenmod on my phone. that didn't work with straight talk so the dude said it would work for t mobile. I spent a bunch of money to bring my own phone to t mobile and it still didn't work! I was able to figure something out with customer service and it worked for about two days then my data stopped working. So i went into the t mobile store and he said my rom was bad, he suggested going back to stock. So the guy who was 'helping' me had me download these https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=12880 and http://forum.xda-developers.com/devd...t/dl/?id=10694 . So I did... my phone just went into an endless loop of booting up to the LG screen again and again for 20 minutes, so i went back into recovery and i tried to restore an old backup, that also went into an endless loop of booting. So I factory reset it, it is still in an endless loop and it wont actually turn on all the way. Is there any way you can help me? I'm like 200 bucks into this BS and I havent had a phone for a freakin month.. I could really, really use some help.

I know I probably sound like an asshole and people that don't know what they're doing is annoying... I'm pretty tech savvy but phones are outta my scope.. If anyone can help me I would be very very grateful.

I have bought this charger which I thought was UK... It seems it's US plug even if we have 220v compare to 110/20V in the US... But I was using a UK to EU adapter causing the seems to be original charger ti have a hell of slow charging and sometimes even drain if i was using tunein while charging... I wanna ask that by using a wrong adapter I'm loosing power or just that this charger sucks? Thanks

Help Get Bootloader Unlock Code

I bought the Mate 2 MT2L03 a couple of weeks ago and I've tried all methods to try to get the Unlock code for the Bootloader with no success. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I know there's other threads, but most are outdated.

Introduction
I have two HTC Sensations, I found that one has a lot better reception than the other one.
The one that had better reception, I flashed a Sense 3.5 RUU beforehand.
The other one that had not so good reception, I had flashed a Sense 3.6 RUU beforehand.
Both had the 3.33 universal firmware from @Kohr-Ah installed.
I compared the firmwares from 3.33 and 3.12, I found that 3.12 has pg2fs_spcustom.img and 3.33 doesn't, I think @mike1986. removed it.
My conclusion is, pg2fs_spcustom.img must be different.
From what I know, pg2fs_spcustom.img has encrypted radio related code.
So I have repackaged the universal 3.33 firmware to include pg2fs_spcustom.img

Summary
After flashing this firmware on my HTC sensation with the one with poorer reception, I found that reception is now far better and faster to connect and switch between towers.
My results may differ from yours but I'm sharing this as it may be a solution for some.

Installation
Place PG51IMG.zip in the root directory of your sdcard.
Check the MD5 checksum is correct = 3abc6ae08031d3dd4c1820d2c2046c1a
Reboot device into bootloader and confirm flash.
Note: Remove PG51IMG.zip from root of sdcard afterwards.

I had my phone soft bricked (stuck at bootloader) for 15 days till yesterday i managed to fix it. Now i have seen that theres software update available [version
OTA_137.00_152.08] 50.1 mb but i am unable to install the update getting 'error state 7'
I have unrooted the device..
Enabled all disabled apps..

S5 exynos issue.

I am facing an issue in new phone. I dnt know how to explain the problem. Sometimes when i hit power button to unlock my device botton button light up but screen stay black and i cannot use phone. Then i have to again hit power button twice to light up screen. Dnt know want to confirm is this hardware issue or software. Because right now i have option to return this. Or is there any fix for this. Really annoying when driving car and have to quickly use phone, also happens when someone calling and screen doent lightup.

Hi, im new to this forum and is seeking help whether to choose iOS over server side languages like Python, Ruby, Java, .NET, PHP. I know there is a proliferating demand for iOS developers though the demand for server languages has been high. I am confused whether to choose iOS or any other language. Being a beginner which one would you advise me to go for. I am really interested in programming and im trying out some stuff on my own. I am graduating out of high school next year and looking for a career in app development. I recently came to know about mobile app development course in Toronto that is career oriented. Problem with different ringtones setting for each SIM and contact.

Hi,
Is it possible to set different ringtone for each SIM? I can not set it in any way. I found 2 apps in Play store named DualSim Ringtone, but both of them are not working - two sims ring the same as 2nd sim slot is set.
Also it is impossible to set different ringtone to separate contacts - there is no option "Set ringtone" in my phone as it is described in this article:

My fone is Zenfone 2 4GB RAM 32GB internal. It's rooted and updated to version UL-Z00A-WW-2.20.40.59 few days ago.
This morning i seeing the update alert from Asus showing on phone, so i go head with update.
But after reboot, at the screen with Asus logo and slogan In Search of Incredible... and the loading icon keep rolling for hours
I leave it rolling for 2 hours and nothing happen. So i go to recovery mode and do factory/wipe all data. Update process going fine, but after complete and reboot. it still stuck at the loading icon under Asus logo.

Anyone pls help.

Poweramp on Android 4.4.4 RK3066/RK3188 CarStereo Radio?

Hi all,

I got my RK3066 unit rooted successfully. Now I want to use a patched Poweramp app to replace MTCMusic app. I used combination of Poweramp Unlocker app and Lucky Patcher to patch Poweramp successfully. Problem is... Poweramp continues to verify license each time it runs and since there's no internet connection in the car. It failed. After a couple failed attempts, it would stop working and show the "failed to verify license" dialog even though it was successfully patched with Lucky Patcher. I've tried to remove the License Check with Lucky Patcher, but no success.

Is there anyone else using Poweramp instead of MTCMusic app on these Chinese Android Headunits? Are you using a patched version? If yes, how do you get the patch working permanently and/or remove the License verification step in Poweramp?

Is there anyway to change the system language to Chinese? Currently have the Galaxy Note 3 N900a with stock rom, updated to latest OS. Will root enable Chinese system UI? Are there any stock rom that has Chinese UI? And is rooting easy on the Note 3? Haven't done any rooting in a long time...

Forgot to mention, I'm on LolliRock and installed this version of the Android TV Store. It helps a lot with games since it narrows down the ones that are compatible with our controller. Many in the regular Play Store require a touchscreen interface and they won't work on the Nexus Player..
Not sure if these apps are Leanback compatible though, haven't ran the stock ROM in awhile. If someone checks, please report back, thanks!

keyboard failed to launch

i bought the phone (new) a month ago, it is not rooted. sometimes when i launch watsapp, choosing a contact and pressing the blank line in order to start typing the keyboard just dont popup. if then i try to open the sms app the keyboard is missing there either. the only thing i can do is rebooting.
any ideas??

LG G2 Losing Signal in Some Areas

My phone (LG G2) has an issue with its reception in some areas. I will be receiving 4G in some areas (Home/ Work) but sometimes I will be at the shops and my signal will go from 4G to a G symbol and I will not be able to recieve and MMS or browse the internet. In some cases I can change my settings from LTE/GSM/WCDMA to LTE Only mode and I will receive 4G again but most of the time it will not work.

What I have tried;

Instal Custom Rom
Flash new baseband/ Radio
Unplug and Replug the Antenna Flex Cable

None of these made a difference.

I have a Feeling that it is a Hardware issue. Is their anyway to Diagnose the hardware? If I needed to replace a part of the phone hardware what would it be?

Finally, the 5.0.2 roms for Galaxy A5 (A500F variant) have been made public by sammobile/samfirmware.. Initially the first build of 5.0.2 was released for Russia, then after a couple of months of nothing, the rom for Malaysia finally rolled out, and today we finally have more regions coming out..

Grab your 5.0.2 from sammobile :highfive:

Don't forget to read the instructions and backup your apps and storages before flashing as it may wipe your devices clean :)

Is my bootloader still unlocked?

So, I used to have 13.3.2.3.2 with an unlocked bootloader, but then I was stupid and I didn't disable ota, so my tablet updated itself to 4.5.4.
Today, I saw a post in the "general" section about downgrading from 4.5.X to 3.2.8 and I tried it out, and to my surprise it worked!
So I went from 3.2.3.2 to 4.5.4 and back to 3.2.8
My question is since I used to have an unlocked boot loader, and my tab updated to 4.5.4 and then I downgraded to 3.2.8, do I still have my unlocked boot loader?
And if I still do have my unlocked boot loader, can I install twrp?

I had built an AOSP Rom for A Virgin Mobile HTC Desire 816.. And coded A few Apps, so I know A bit around the Android system. Different hardware, I know. With that phone I could just flash A universal APN fix that fixed mobile network when using any rom for any world model. There are close to 20 or more variants. I'd like to create A flashable fix like this. Virgin Mobile uses the Sprint Network.
I have A github (same username), and A fast ((can use over 500GB RAM!)) Microsoft Azure remote server (Ubuntu Server, Windows, free for me) which I use for development which I may be able to "donate" access to for A few people.
I'm new to Knox systems

A few questions:
It's really that secure?!?! I can't even directly "sudo" in A rooted Linux install on the S6 edge. I've been searching the internet everyday for A Samsung Pay workaround/alternative use for the magstripe. But I highly doubt Samsung will open an SDK/API for the Magstripe.

This is possible right, simple porting procedure? Though I've been unsucessful with porting since Lollipop.

I plan to link resourses such as [Guides] from the Galaxy S5, S4 for reference.
Anyone working on this, knows what to change, or has more resources than incompatible guides please let me know.

ME176CX Lollipop (second update by ASUS)
rooted, Xposed, XPrivacy.

It seems, I had misconfigured XPrivacy and disabled a vital permission on a system component.

Symptom:
The tablet boots, displays the "desktop" -- in black -- sometimes with the buttons on the navigation bar (not reacting
to anything), the taskbar is also visible...but that's it. After a short while it reboots.
I can reach droidboot (fastboot mode)...
Lollipop was installed via the temporary recovery method.

Normally a fix is to put a file called "disabled" into one of the directories (will google for that) to stop XPosed and
with that XPrivacy. But this needs adb to be activated and functioning normally but this is *not* the case here.

And before I screw up my tablet even more I better ask...
Would this work
1.) Prepare a zip containing only one file called "/<correct path to XPosed>/disabled". Call this zip "update.zip"
2.) Boot into droidboot (fastboot mode)
3.) Use the temporary recovery method to flash this file into the system causing XPosed to be disabled.
4.) reboot.

Will this work? Any other idea?

What can go wrong flashing a modem file from another s6 variant?

So yeah what are some things that could go wrong doing this? I have a phone that has a ton of ROMs available for it, just not my carrier. I'm able to flash ROMs and they seem to work except for mobile data, voice, and SMS.

Will Not Install Gapps

I have just installed Blisspop rom and trying to install TKGapps. I have tried to install Full, mini and micro. I get not enough space to install and to run gapps-config.

How can I just clean out the /system/app folder so I can reinstall Bliss and then Gapps?

Is there a way to format the whole thing to remove everything, then reinstall Bliss (5.1.1) and gapps?

There is no way that I'm full up I have 12.28GB of space but it tells me that I don't. I'm getting really irritated.

I believe there should be a section devoted to this phone just as there are to others. I know people, like my self would like to be able to root their device, and it would be much simpler to be able to go straight to it. I had done extensive research on this forum all day yesterday after "Soft-Bricking" my S 5 Active. To much of my surprise, I did not find a whole lot. One of the biggest issues I had was not being able to find the firmware for 5.0 for my phone to try to unbrick it. So, I would like to offer the Original firmware if someone can be able to give me instructions on how to create an image or whatever is needed. I still want to have my phone rooted but am very nervous to try again. I ended up having to drive 45 miles (1 hour) to the city to a warranty center to have it fixed. Thankfully they were able to and saw it as not my fault. However I want to help others while receiving some personal help from other members who have successfully rooted there Samsung Galaxy S 5 Active (AT&T) SM-G870A.

If their is a section already I apologize but I have not found it.

So I was going though my messages here and I saw a message that my phone sent. See the attachment. I know it wasn't a pocket text because the phone had been sitting on the table by me with the screen off at the time the message was sent. Any ideas?

Where can I find information for a USCC Galaxy S6 (SM-G90R04)?

There is no dedicated forum for this particular device here on XDA. I have just been referring to the general Galaxy S6 section for various things. I am having a difficult time really finding anything on the web. I have found a few things, but no real area of big support or community. I love US Cellular. They are a great provider for my rural area with great phone selection (got this s6 with an otter box COMPLETELY FREE with their points system... no contract extension needed), but with that said, I understand that they are a small regional provider. So far I have been able to flash ROMs on my phone with the hopes of having them work, and they do actually... except I can't get any mobile data, voice, or SMS.

Multiple games crash?

I have had more than one game crash on this phone. One of them worked fine on my Samsung Galaxy s4 so I'm not sure why it would crash on this phone. My phone is rooted and I'm on 5.1. My model is H812. I think this phone is supposed to be pretty powerful so it should be capable of running them.

Hi everyone,I'm planning to do a Children Locator android app which for parent to track their child as they travelling in outdoor environment. This apps will have these functions:

Parent Mode:
1. Set timing to receive children phone location silently from time to time.
2. Password protected to access app setting.
3. Prevent uninstall feature from android home screen.
4. Lock and unlock children phone remotely.
5. Send push notification to children mobile.

Child Mode:
1. Send emergency alert to parent phone(via sms).
2. Confirm push notification to parent.
3. Call back to parent if their phone locked remotely.

I'm having difficulty to develop these function as I'm newbie in Android programming ,can anyone show me some direction for develop these app??

d852 issue with Lollipop and rogers internet. please help

Hi All,

I've been reading a lot of the development post and could not fix my issue yet. Hopefully someone can help here.

I have a Rogers d852 with kitkat and rooted.

I'm trying to install a candy5 lollipop custom rom and when I do that, I cannot connect to the roger internet.... it also does not allow me to connect to 5ghz wifi until I install the lp_modem... anyways, after installing the modem, the wifi works but still no roger internet at all... even after selecting the right APN.

I also tried installing the modem and then the stock lollipop rom and it works fine....
when I put the candy5 rom on after, I lose the networks again...


What am I missing here to have custom roms other than the stock lollipop rom working with the right modem?

Flip Case? and Battery tips?

Anybody here with the OEM Flip Case? It was working well with power save (on). Where If I closed the flip case, the phone instantly locks the screen. I like this cause instead of reaching for the power button, my phone locks itself. Which is very cool when you use power amp since you can get full access to the main controls on the lockscreen

For some reason, my screen doesn't lock itself whenever I close the flip cover. It also leaves the edge screen on.

Help any tips? I am trying to squeeze more than 13 Hrs off this phone. I can get about only 5 hours of screen time and thats not gaming. thats writing notes, facebook, messaging. Thats it. The battery life on this phone is sad, even with stock KitKat

Made Lollipop Usable -> Disable Account Sync

Somehow over the weekend, thought about disabling the Account Sync, yeah, mail, chrome, keyboard, and my Nexus 7 with Lollipop is usable again! Faster access to Chrome and Keyboard especially!

Nothing else I have tried that I have found online works.

My tablet is not my main device, so its fine to manual sync a lot of things.

need profile folder sprint note 3 on boost mobile

i bought a sprint note 3 after they began to allow them to be activated on boost.

boost went through some steps to activate phone .... but i only had voice and text working ...... no data

i just finished reading up on the apn settings fix. it worked i now have data .

i have flashed a new prl from boost, but it wont do the hands free activation. prl update wont work either currently

OK, running gnabo V8 on my note 10.1, when the device is powered off and I plug in to charge it the device automatically boots on. Why is this? Can I not charge the device while it is powered off? Any input appreciated. thanks.

Get OTA update without ever activating?

Picked up a Sprint Prepaid Moto E (XT1526) from Best Buy for to use as a media/wifi only device. Device currently has 5.0.2 but it's my understanding the 5.1.1 update is out for the sprint model. However, whenever I check for a system update, I get "Check for update was not available at this time. Try again later". I also tried updating using Motorola Device Manager on my PC and but it said no update and told me my current version was "N/A".

Could this be due to the fact I've never activated service on the device? Otherwise does anyone know how I can get the OTA?

Infiniti Intouch App

Hello all,

New to this forum, first time poster. So I start this new thread because I am a bit frustrated with Infiniti and the development or lack there of specifically the InTouch app. As a Q50s owner, we were promised music apps. We are constantly being told that they are working on it but its now been two years.
The most recent app on the playstore has removed the music apps, however I was able to get my hands on one that does have Pandora, Iheart, twitter, and TripAdvisor. The problem is that when you try and select the added apps to sync with my car, I get an error. Wondering if anyone is willing to tackle this issue. I can email you the APK file that has the added apps. I am willing to donate and ill be willing to bet I can get a ton of other Infiniti owners to also donate to the cause.
I hope I was somewhat clear and if you need specifics, screen shots etc. please let me know.

How do I find the sms that an application sends? Ie nfl mobile has sms permission. Just would like to see if apps are sending sms. I've checked my default messenger app and googles new message app. Any ideas or thoughts? Also I am not rooted.

Cannot find 11 gig storage after flashing to a custom rom

I just have my galaxy s2 flash with a custom rom and before that I have a stock rom installed and it has a 11 gig internal storage but now after flashing it only shows 2 gig of internal storage... Also when I plug it in on my computer the 11 gig storage doesn't show up unlike before when I have the stock rom... Can anyone help me fix my problem...
