how to force 2g on k3 note running vibe ui 2.8 developer edition?

hi,
i am using the k50a40 version of k3 note and i flashed the k50-t5 developer version of vibe ui 2.8 based on android 5.1. however i cannot set the network mode to 2g. the only modes in preferred network mode are 3g/2g and 4g/3g/2g (4g preferred).

i tried forcing gsm only via *#*#4636#*#* but it doesnt change anything and it keeps staying on GSM auto (PRL).

Is there any other way i can force 2g?

MIUI 6 Developer Global - Google Services Broken

Used the update.zip flash tool in recovery mode to load MIUI 7 (5.9.18 Global) from
http://obigota.d.miui.com/5.9.18/miu...5312c7_5.0.zip

Now google services won't work. I am at a loss to work out what to do. I have cleared the cache for all google apps and also cleared cache in recovery mode.

Any help would be appreciated.

Developer Options (in Android 5.0 Lollipop)

I have an Android smart phone Qmobile i8 with Android 5.0 lollipop . I want to use some devolper options but in developer options i only found usb debugging . moreover there is no build number in About phone(Setting) . That means developer options were pre-enabled ... Kindly help me to get the full options in developer :laugh:

Developer phone but Motorola website cannot unlock

I have a dev phone purchased here (white back)

however, following instructions on this site and inputting the code, it says 'my device isn't eligible for unlocking'. I thought all dev phones are. What am I missing? The phone does boot up with the verizon logo - does that have anything to do with it? The phone is on 4.2.2 so I believe I have some options but see that if you go past 4.4, then you would have to have write protection enabled

Flash developer ROM over the Stable with Mi Recovery?

How can I flash the developer ROM over the Stable one with a Mi Recovery and with Native Root? (No costum recovery and SuperSU)

All the guides I saw use custom recovery. Can I just change the name of the .zip to "update.zip" and choose update?

By the way, is there a mirror to download the official ROM, I can´t complete the download from the official site...

Developer ROM

Hi , im realy new to Android.
Finaly i got my first one (Redmi Note 2 Prime) and i don´t know if i should install the developer ROM or should i got with the stable ROM.
Is there a big difference between the both ROMS?
I got my Redmi Note 2 Prime with a ROM from the seller and i mentioned that i got a commercial pop up and the phone is somehow a bit lagy.

Creating a game app, looking for developer programs

Hi, I'm new here! I have been interested in creating my own android games for a time now and just decided to give it a try, so I'm looking for a software where I can develop my games.

I have some basic knowledge in java and been playing around a bit in Android Studio. What would be the easiest way for a beginner to create his first android game? At the start, now when I'm new to app development, I will make simple games like memory match or quiz game, and after that try creating games that require some physics, like a "runner game" or platform game.

I have found three options:
-Android Studio
-Unity3d
-Game Maker: studio

Does any of you have any idea what software to use? Are any of these three options any good? I have also heard it might be possible to use Android Studio as a plugin for Unity3d or something like that... I just want to create simple 2D-games, not any advanced 3D-games. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks :o

Developer edition help

I recently converted my phone to the dev edition but otas fail because my build.prop fails check. Can anyone using dev edition post a stock build.prop please? I have slow Internet and it would take me ages to redownload everything if I have to reset with the ruu.

Server issues preventing me from updating to MIUI 7 Developer ROM

So I finally have this device in my hot little hands. Unfortunately, the Xiaomi server hosting all the new China Development ROM for MIUI 7 v5.8.27 is terrible.

First the link didn't even work, then someone in the forums told me I have to add an "o" to the front of the link, instead of: http://bigota.d.miui.com/5.8.27/miui...a20061_5.0.zip to try http://obigota.d.miui.com/5.8.27/miu...a20061_5.0.zip

So the download finally started. Then it failed a bunch of times. Then it finally downloaded the full file, and I go to MIUI recovery and try to use it, it says the file is corrupt.

So that is about 6 hours of time wasted yesterday. Overnight I tried to download the file again, it stopped half way.

Today I tried again, the ETA of the file blew out from two hours to 9 hours and now the file has just stopped at 30MB.

So if anyone else has MN2 and has successfully downloaded this file and updated their device to MIUI 7, I would appreciate it if you could upload it to a fast filehost or your dropbox/gdrive for me, so that I can download it from a more reliable source.

They don't have any mirror servers, and the Mi PC Suite English does not list the BETA Roms as possible update options.

A big bloody headache so far, I haven't even got around to installing GAPPS.

Does anyone know what the Developer Option "Automatic Wi-Fi toggle" actually does?
