Where can I find a replacement rear cover? The of the battery contacts fell off!

Hello all, one of the little square charging contacts fell off of my gear live for some reason. I never really wore it much because I was always so worried I would scratch it up, but unfortunately one of the little square charging contacts fell off the back cover of my Gear Live. Is there somewhere I can buy a replacement rear cover? I see it has 4 screws and should be pretty easy to swap out, I just cant find one. If anyone can point me to where I can buy one, I would really appreciate it!

Thanks!

Any good replacement charger?

Hello,

I lost the charger that came with my LG G2, and the genuine one costs quite a lot in my country,
So I wonder if there is anything I can buy on eBay that is safe and charges just as quickly?
(I need EU plug btw)

Thanks

Charging port replacement card

Hello,
I looked on eBay for the LG G2 (d802) charging port replacement (it comes with more stuff on it - the 3.5mm jack and some more.
I saw that the Chinese cards are sold for about 9$, and when I added the word "genuine" I saw that for example some UK sellers are selling it for around 70$!

If I replace mine with the cheap card? am I supposed to feel any different?

Note 3 (Note series in general) Replacement Phone

i currently have a Note 3 and love it, but have been interested in getting a new phone. My obvious choice was to go with the Note 5, but then i learned that i cannot replace the battery or add in a microSD card and that is a no-go for me. A lot of people are just calling us whiners, but the majority of my phone's use it for listening to mp3s. If i can't load up my phone with mp3s, then it is an absolute no. i also like being able to take out the battery to replace it in an emergency or when my phone locks up or freezes.

So i am thinking of just getting the Note 4 and seeing what Samsung does with the Note series. Does anyone predict they will come out with a new edition of the Note 5 or possibly bring back these features in the Note 6?

i have been happy with HTC in the past, i am also considering switching back to HTC.

Thoughts?

Any Advance Replacement RMA experience out there?

My z551ml is having screen issues. One sees it on boot up, so it is most probably something with the framebuffer hardware.

I've initiated an RMA with Advanced Replacement (where they pre ship a replacement phone for US + credit card hold until the old phone arrives). This is only offered on the z551ml, evidently.

Anyone have any experience with this?

So far I've tried opening a ticket online. This seems to be a lose, as they give themselves 48 hours to respond. So I phoned up the support number (which suspiciously doesn't have 'mobile' or 'cell phone' listed on their web page). The guy I worked with ran me through the process, hard reset, etc and issued me with an RMA number and provided the "Advanced Replacement" form.

I'll update this post as the processing progresses.

Zenfone 2 ZE550ML camera KO after screen replacement

A few days ago I have ordered and then replaced the LCD of my Zenfone 2. Sending it back to repair the display was as expensive as buying a new phone, so I decided to take the risk. I followed the instructions I found on the internet and I succeded. Both touch and display work after replacement, and all other components work too, except for camera functions. Now when I open any camera app (Google Camera, Zenfone Pixelmaster camera and so on) I get the infamous "camera failed to launch, please reboot your device". After cleaning up both application cache and system cache (I have even tried flashing an older firmware version) I decided to check both the flat cables connecting the front camera and rear camera to the phone's motherboard, with no success.
Any clue about how to proceed ?
Any chance that trying a different ROM (such as Cyanogen) might fix my problem ?
I have read that many users are experiencing that nefarious camera message, however I haven't found any effective solution so far, and without a clue I can't figure out if one of the two cameras is broken or damaged...
Suggestions ?

Thanks in advance and have a nice day
Azrahel

Is there a battery replacement plan?

Does Moto have some kind of battery replacement plan like Apple or Samsung for their phones?
I believe Samsung charges you about to put a new battery in their S6.

Does Motorola have something like this? How much does it cost, can it be be done on the same day? Or would I need to take it to a 3rd party phone repair guy?

Multiple issues after screen replacement

Hi, I had my z3 screen replaced the other day, I got it back the next day and was delighted at the screen, it was perfectly fine. I got the phone home (stupidly didn't test in the shop) and popped my sim in, and had no service for about an hour, despite going all over my house.
So I took my phone back and they said they had to replace a part, so I received my phone back with signal, then the top of the screen had a very faded flickering, it was like a inner glow. I took it back and they had it for another day, I got the phone back to zero signal coverage, and now I can actually see the screen coming away on the left hand side (it's actually not flush with the case)

So I need somebody who is basically a mobile engineer to help me troubleshoot the problem so I'm more armed when I go in next, because obviously my phone was perfectly fine prior to the cracked screen repair.

Thanks for the help guys!
Jake

i9505 Stuck in boot screen after cracked screen replacement

I have a Galaxy S4 (i9505) that had a cracked screen which rendered the phone unusable (it looked like a squid had squirted ink all over the screen from within, touch still worked, but I could barely see a thing), so I bought a replacement lcd/digitiser, etc, took the phone apart, replaced the screen, put everything back together and now...I cannot get past the boot screen.

I was previously running CM12 (some nightly build from a couple of months back) and had had no troubles with it at all.
I have ClockworkMod Recovery 6.0.4.7 running as recovery and can flash, wipe, etc, but none of this works.
I've currently only tried wipe data/factory reset and re-flashing CM12 and CM11.

I'm considering flashing TouchWiz, full stock, to see if that works, but really...I hate TW so it's far from ideal.
Then again, having a broken phone is less ideal than TW, so I'll take anything at this point :)

Does anyone have any suggestions?
Have I messed something in the hardware that could cause this?

The fact that I can get to recovery and/or bootloader, says to me that things should be ok, but I'm quite confused.

Should I try flashing a stock ROM with ODIN instead?
Am I missing something simple?

Any help is most appreciated.

Patrick.

Brightness not increasing after LCD replacement

Hi Guys,

I'm new here.
My problem is, I have replaced my Sony Xperia Z phone Lcd display last week with a new one bought online.
After replacing the display the phone brightness is very low. When I tried to increase the brightness throgh the settings it is not increasing. The phone remains in low brightness either the level at 0% or at 100%. What will be the problem? I tried hard reset and factory reset, but that not brings any changes. what might be the problem. Is it due to the new display? Is it because any inner hardware failure causes during the lcd replacement?

Please help me. I want to know about this before going to the service centre.

Thanks
Renjith

question about firmware replacement install

Hi,

I have a Note 4 (N910F) with the original kitkat rom that has been rooted.
I have downloaded few third party firmwares with Android 5.1 and I tried to install them (I'm using TWRP).
The installation is successful, but when I reboot the Note 4 I get the "Galaxy Note 4" logo, the device vibrated twice and it's rebooting again doing it over and over again, and this happens with few different firmware's.

I tried reflashing, tried to clear all caches - it's still doesn't affect the problem.
The ironic thing is that if I restore a backup of my original firmware (the one I made a backup with TWRP) the device works perfectly.

Am I missing something in the installation procedure??

Thanks

Note II - replacement case in 2015...

Make no mistake, the Galaxy Note II is an awesome phone.

If you don't mind competing with the Jones's, with the latest tech, and you can get hold of a Note II, you won't be disappointed.

To date, I've been using this phone with little if no stability problems at all.

Problem is, my phone needs a replacement case

Currently my Note II is protected by a Spigen Illuzion case:

I've got a Black one which goes well with my Grey Note II model.

I've searched the net all over for a replacement Spigen case, but everywhere it says the case have been discontinued.:crying:

Note II fans, what other case would you guys and girls suggest I get? :highfive:

Sure, there's 100's of post for the ideal Note II case. But this is the year 2015, and many cases for our phone, is being discontinued.

Please suggest some more cases, which uses a Press-stud to close the case with. - magnets doesn't work with this phone..

Let's keep the Samsung Galaxy Note II alive!!!

Phone is pre-rooted after motherboard replacement

Hello friends.

My D855 had to go through a motherboard change. Before this situation, I was using my phone with a stock rom. It had to go to warranty and when it came back it was rooted. SuperSU was loaded and SU binary was installed. Is there a necessity for the warranty to do that? Or is it the motherboard that arrived was rooted? What is the logical explanation for this?

Replacement Device Back to KitKat

I recently received a replacement device for my Verizon LG G2. My previous phone was kept on KitKat and I would like to get the replacement phone back to KK. The phone is currently rooted and I have TWRP installed. I am running Extreme v1.1 VS98039A.

Is there a way to take this phone back to KitKat 4.4? Thank you in advance for any help you can provide. Have a blessed day!

Hi everyone.. I should be back in this area as soon as my new screen comes in the post. Has anyone delt with global parts direct? It's been two weeks since I purchased the screen and the tracker still says "processing or filling" I really hope they are not a scam because I don't want to have to buy another screen
