Several days ago my phone starting dropping battery much faster than usual. While I am at work I barely touch my phone and some days I will only use 15% over an 8 hour period. This suddenly increased to about 40-50% a few days ago. I tracked it down to the bluetooth being enabled or not. My bluetooth has been always-on for the last several months without an issue. Now I can see the battery discharge rate increase immediately when the bluetooth is turned on. I've attached a screenshot showing the problem. I had the bluetooth off in the morning and you can see the slow discharge. I turned it on for several hours and you see the steep discharge until I turned it off again and the discharge levels out. It was not connected to anything during the entire day. Does anyone have any idea why this would suddenly happen? I am going to have to turn off my bluetooth when not in use until I figure this out.

2500mah battery?
Hi everyone
I was searching for a replacement battery for my n5 and came across a few like these http://www.amazon.ca/gp/aw/d/B010LOVZHG?vs=1.
As you can see they are aftermarket batteries, but they're however larger in capacity than the original ones (2500 v/s 2300). Are they safe to use and will they provide a longer battery life?

TMO NEXUS 6 Battery life since newest update
My device is unrooted
Everything was going great until the newest update that came last week. Since this my battery life has gone down hill fast. I feel like I'm back on my G1.
I have two questions is anyone else having this issue at all?
My other question is all my previous phones have had SD card spots so when I reset myphone all my pictures are stored there. If I reset myphone do I lose all my pictures?

Battery Backup? Any Kernels or ROMs?
Hey Folks,
I'm searching for a kernel or a rom with good battery backup. I used CM12, AICP and Resurrection Remix and came to a conclusion that AICP has the best battery backup among them. Its battery backup is like what we can find in CM11 4.4.4. But sadly I'm facing alot of bugs with AICP now and then so don't wanna use it anymore.
I can do regular updates or testing but I'll busy with RL stuff.
So, can you guys suggest me a good kernel or a rom to use for battery backup?

Always "Charging from AC" even when at 100% battery
Hello,
I would like to know if it's normal that my phone constantly shows "Charging from AC" when the battery is full at 100% and that it has been plugged in for hours. Shouldn't it show "Plugged in AC" ? I had a LG phone that showed "Plugged in AC" when the battery reached 100% (indicating the battery was full and not being charged anymore)
Does it mean that my Moto G battery is constantly being charged even when at 100% or does it mean they forgot to add another status (like "plugged in AC") for this 100% state ?

Where can I find a replacement rear cover? The of the battery contacts fell off!
Hello all, one of the little square charging contacts fell off of my gear live for some reason. I never really wore it much because I was always so worried I would scratch it up, but unfortunately one of the little square charging contacts fell off the back cover of my Gear Live. Is there somewhere I can buy a replacement rear cover? I see it has 4 screws and should be pretty easy to swap out, I just cant find one. If anyone can point me to where I can buy one, I would really appreciate it!
Thanks!
Thanks!

How to get better battery Life?
Warning : don't hate plz.
So I have thought about my phone (The e970) and I've come to the conclusion that the only thing that is really wrong with it is the battery life.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to get great battery life? I saw some guy here on XDA who was extreme and like took apart his phone and stuff but I would really like a simple solution. I am rooted and on CyanogenMod.

A Root Battery Saver App (By Moi)
I've lately got into developing mobile apps and even though i've promoted this as beta, people seem to be using it, but nobody's reporting back! - same goes for all of my apps, i don't get it...
Anyway, i need real feedback and I was wondering if any folks here with a rooted android could help test this app out, it was made on Kitkat, so while yes, it works fine for me, it may not for you... I've had one feedback comment saying that his modem data was not switching off on lollipop, so i added support for that now allowing him or her to use the app as intended, but after replying via the playstore, nothing was heard of him since... almost suspicious lol

Find it on Android's Playstore... Craig's Battery Saver ROOT

2 things use up battery power
1. apps that are CPU intensive, eg constantly repeating to connect (this would only happen under malware, as most apps would never do this, it would see the socket it closed/dead and stop and wait until user input, malware would constantly reconnect.. but 99/100 apps will just stop and then do nothing meaning all genuine apps should 'idle' not really using up cpu time....
2. Hardware services, bluetooth, mobile data, wifi, gps, these services are all hardware, so your cpu will switch on each of these services and each one has a significant drain on your battery, go bed at 11pm, by 9am it may have drained 30 - 40% or more... with this app, it will have drained under 1 - 3% depending on your battery (tablets for example should run for days with this app if rooted)
So this app does 2, it first remembers which hardware was on before the screen goes off, so no confusing switch wifi on when wifi's already on (as i've seen on other apps?!) reason why i wrote this because all the other apps i came across sucked really, almost but not quite etc etc..
With this tool, if you're a light user you could quite easily see 60% battery improvement! the bonus side affect of this app is also interesting, for 1, it charges quicker! if you accidentally fall asleep, it will conserve as much power as possible, obviously sms,telephone/mobile network is still running in the background so you can't completely stop a device from draining...
the other bonus side affect was, it kills dead all facebook notifications, twitter, well it would as it disables wifi, modem. 3g, bt when the screen goes off! :good:
1 more feature, if you drop your phone? then what?... take where's my droid, i sms it asking for location... it replies "GPS OFF" and "modem off" simple, send the text message to your phone with "on" without the " " around on, and the app will disable itself so it does not switch off the services and then at the same time it enables Wifi, Modem Data, Gps, Bt pretty useful huh... then on where's my droid, you'll get GPS combined with AGPS data from mobile data giving you pin point accuracy, as soon as you get the data of where it is... type in
off (to turn this feature off) or
on (to turn on all your services)
It also disables itself taking calls...
It has a smart check feature too, let's say after you switch the screen on and for some reason wifi failed to switch on ? after 3 seconds it will then check again to see if wifi is indeed on... if it's not on, it attempts to switch it on again...
Feedback is greatly appreciated so i can support a larger range of devices.... thank you for reading! (Suggestions, welcome!)
So basically what your device is and what's not working (along with build version, lollipop/kitkat etc) and i'll see if i can find a way to add it in to support your droid! - one more thing, i've been releasing updates like a crazy woman collecting cats lately and even though it does all this it's only supporting "Extreme power saving option" come tuesday i hope to have that sorted out so that every few minutes it can wake up to check for twitter/facebook messages for all of those who hate the sound of a phone being blissful quiet :)
if you're rooted and it does not look like that in the video [top of screen] (not the interface, but the services, i've already updated the UI)
anyway, help me to make it better for you...
One more thing, there are no push notifications, no popup adds, no huge banners, all my apps have one tiny advert to help support the countless hours of programming i'm putting into this apps, with each upgrade i aim to make them more stable and more usable, and i really need peoples help and support even if that is criticism :) - it's "beta" but i'm almost ready to bring it out after i add the wake up services....

Grand 2 battery discharge
My Grand 2 would discharge in 20 hrs even if I charge it for complete 3 hours.
Is it because I am using a 1.5 amp charger or something is wrong with my Phone.
Also I am on Wi-Fi for most of the day so is it possible that my battery may drain due to it?

Huawei Watch Battery life Thread
The battery life on the watch seems to be much better than my Urbane so far. I used it all day yesterday and I still had at least another day of use left. I still charged jt last night but I might try to see how long it will last before it dies.
Here it is with ambient mlde always on, WiFi on, and brightness set at 4.

Hi
I'm not sure yet which one I will choose, however I would like a decent/good battery life
Do you think the battery on the 6p will last longer than the 5x ?
full HD on 5.2 screen with 2700mah
vs
QHD on 5.7 screen with 3500 mah
thanks !

My OPOs battery life
the last time my OPO isn't functioning as it should whenever i charge and use my phone at the same time (lowest brightness and no bluetooth) my phone loses percentages. Last night I left my phone in the charger finding it being 20% less then i put it in the charger. other times when i put my phone off in the charger it gains 10% per hour. I have not boot loaded, flashed or done any of that stuff my Rom COS is 12.1 and i have read that there are several others with this problem. also I have read that using another rom will solve this problem. when i tried flashing after installing the TWRP doesn't work and i can't get in recovery-mode.
Im pretty sad that my OPO is having these problems. does anyone has some suggestions on what to do?
Also i had various battery managers who said charging would only take 2 hours and in reality it took 24 h+.
thanks for reading
