XT1045 - "No Service" / radio issues

I had my phone for quite some time now. Bought it off Amazon in december 2014, and been running CM 11/12/12.1 ever since.

However, a completely new problem surfaces. After the last nightly, the cell radio seems to be dead, and rolling back to the older/stock roms was no luck

- Under service menu *#*#4636#*#*
- Clicking "Turn On Radio" nothing happens and the button stays "Turn On Radio"
- I had tried doing a complete reflash with all stock XT1045 5.1 ROM, including the modem
- the radio seems to be in the constant off position

Help...

Possible for a custom ROM to mess up radio??

Is it possible for a custom ROM to disable a radio?? I was under the impression (after much Google-ing) that a S-ON phone can NOT modify the radio via IMG file (or any other method).

I have been trying several ROMs on my Desire S and finally found one I really like. Problem is, I no longer get any radio signal (no bars, no service). My Desire is rooted/unlocked, running Cyanogen Mod 9, HBOOT 2.00.0002, S-ON, radio 3822.10.08.04_M, service provider is AT&T US.

Any thoughts HTC gurus? THANK you in advance for any helpful info :)

FM Radio with CM12.1

Hi,
is there a way to listen to FM Radio on CM12.1?
I have an O2 Germany One Mini.

I wanted to install the Stock Rom, but can't figure it out and I didn't find RUUs for my Version, so I installed CM12.1. I like Lollipop and I really don't want to downgrade to Kitkat, but the FM Radio will be very useful.

bluetooth radio not starting music player

On previous phones, when the phone was attached to my car radio via bluetooth, and I switched my car radio (pioneer AVIC8100) to bluetooth mode, a music player (usually the last one used) would start running on the phone and start playing a track.

With this note 5, this isn't happening. BT connects fine, but the music player doesn't start at all.

If I run the music player myself (tapping on the screen) then everything works normally - therefore the problem isn't in the pairing or that "media player" isn't selected. (I know XDA users.. 50 people are still going to suggest that I make sure that I have "media audio" turned on in the BT settings even AFTER reading that media playing works fine if I spawn it manually.)

Anyone have any ideas?

(Please resist the urge to reply sarcastically. This issue is really starting to annoy me and my sense of humor in regards to it is GONE.)

Nexus 6 radio issue!

I have nexus 6 , whenever i boot into Bptools mode , the sim card is working, but when i boot to normal mode , it says no service, when i dial *#*#4636#*#* it says Turn on radio, but i wont able to turn it on, please help me, i also flash different firmwares on it, sorry for bad english

I am currently running CyanideL Version 5.1-RC-10.5-d851 and the camera app leaves a little to be desired (in my opinion). Also, I was wondering if there was perhaps a newer radio zip I could flash. Also, can the stock LG G3 Camera app be applied to this rom? If so, where could I find it and a newer radio (if available or necessary)?

Questions about the Turbo Charger included in the box and FM Radio

In AUS, Vodafone (exclusive retailer) includes the TurboPower 15 charger inside the box instead of the 25. Can you guys from other regions (US/UK/EU/IN/etc) confirm if you only received the Turbo Power 15 or the Turbo Power 25 included in the box along with the phone?

I did read something about FM Radio being supported and available for the device. I don't want to get into a debate of "who uses FM radio in this era?". Just want another confirmation if any other region's Moto X Style (Pure) '15 includes/supports FM Radio.

LG G3 Use a car radio like a keyboard

I use a LG G3 with a SONY car radio unit. There's a app with the unit which i can control with the joystick.
The app is good but not perfect, so i want to know if it's possible to control the LG G3 with the joystick of the car radio (like a bluetooth input tool/keyboard)

Sad story about flashing radio from Meizu MX3 to MX2

I've found that Meizu MX3 and Meizu MX2 have the same radio chip - intel xgold626.
Latest MX2 version is 425, but in MX3 is 435. I've compared firmware and found that it have the same files. As I have root on my MX2 FW 2.4.1 I ran IMCdownload flasher in terminal. After this I've lost my IMEI and SN :)
First rescue step was reflashing MX2 radio back. It was successful , but IMEI was not returned. With no IMEI I can call 112, but phone won't register in network perhaps because of default IMEI 00499901064000

For now I did many things and found that Newman N2 have the same radio and there is manual how to repair IMEI & special intel phonetool for XMM radio chips:

Intel PhoneTool requires serial COM interface , but I can't get it from MX2. Perhaps it might appear in USB ACM mode.
MX2 export only theese USB modes: MTP, PTP, RNDIS (USB network tethereing) , ADB (UDB debug).
So I can't turn device to "Download Modem" mode as described because there is no *#3646633*# code in Meizu, so I can't go further.

Engenering mode *#*#4636#*#* have buttons "Enable Modem USB" and "Enable AT commands" but after pressing it nothing happens.
And there is no *#3646633* command.

Any ideas how to get modem COM port in windows?

PS. I've read about xgold626 Hack-Pack Content in http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1483053 , but links is dead. I'll be appreciated if someone share it again.

Windows ce generic head unit radio

I just purchased a "windows 8" unbranded radio from Amazon and it does most of what I want. It looks like an Ouko but for the life of me I cant find model. I have some small problems and I'm out of places to look for help. One the settings page doesn't work. It is like it is waiting for a password. I tried resetting but that didn't help. I can press buttons on the page but it does nothing. Not sure what to do. I can't even change the time and date.

Next I need help operating the radio. There a re so many options on the page it just isn't intuitive. Otherwise it works pretty sweet. Back up camera is nice. The GPS is ok..not very smart. Blue tooth works well and that is all I've tried so far.

Can anyone help me or point me in the right direction. I'm no developer but I make CNC machines for a living so I'm not totally incompotent...lol

[CM11] FM radio

According to the bug list (http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...postcount=1039), the bug #19 (FM radio is giving no sound) should be fixed in latest Quarx builds.
Anyhow I have just installed KitKat in my Defy+ and I cannot let the FM work (last nightly build).
BTW, bluetooth is deactivated.
The FM radio opens normally, the channel search is performed, but no sound is emitted...
Is there anyone having the same issue?

[Bounty] XT 1031 4.4.4 Stock CDMA Radio Off and Data Off but have WIFI

I have tried any and all radios I could find that were appropriate for this device but service status always stays as radio off data off. I tried going to 5.0.2 and back 4.4.4 stock debloated, etc. What am I missing? When you boot the phone it starts up in airplane mode. If I turn off the airplane mode I still have the same issues. I want to put this phone on Ringplus. I already have the account setup but can't get the radio to work right. It worked fine when I had it on Textnow service before this. However, unfortunately, I didn't create a backup before I flashed it. I will pay you if you can help me get this phone on ringplus.

Bluetooth, NFC and FM radio not working

Bluetooth, NFC and FM radio wont turn on on different roms. When I try to turn on bt and nfc in settings, it trys for a few seconds but stays turned off. I did kdz flash wit JB, KK and LP kdzs and it's the same. I tried with Cloudy G2 3.3 and Slim Saber and it's the same. Bluetooth was working till recently and sudenly wont work any more. I didn't try to flash different modems, I assume kdz contain modem partitons.

Is it hardware or software issue? Please help, any ideas?

Introduction
I have two HTC Sensations, I found that one has a lot better reception than the other one.
The one that had better reception, I flashed a Sense 3.5 RUU beforehand.
The other one that had not so good reception, I had flashed a Sense 3.6 RUU beforehand.
Both had the 3.33 universal firmware from @Kohr-Ah installed.
I compared the firmwares from 3.33 and 3.12, I found that 3.12 has pg2fs_spcustom.img and 3.33 doesn't, I think @mike1986. removed it.
My conclusion is, pg2fs_spcustom.img must be different.
From what I know, pg2fs_spcustom.img has encrypted radio related code.
So I have repackaged the universal 3.33 firmware to include pg2fs_spcustom.img

Summary
After flashing this firmware on my HTC sensation with the one with poorer reception, I found that reception is now far better and faster to connect and switch between towers.
My results may differ from yours but I'm sharing this as it may be a solution for some.

Installation
Place PG51IMG.zip in the root directory of your sdcard.
Check the MD5 checksum is correct = 3abc6ae08031d3dd4c1820d2c2046c1a
Reboot device into bootloader and confirm flash.
Note: Remove PG51IMG.zip from root of sdcard afterwards.

Poweramp on Android 4.4.4 RK3066/RK3188 CarStereo Radio?

Hi all,

I got my RK3066 unit rooted successfully. Now I want to use a patched Poweramp app to replace MTCMusic app. I used combination of Poweramp Unlocker app and Lucky Patcher to patch Poweramp successfully. Problem is... Poweramp continues to verify license each time it runs and since there's no internet connection in the car. It failed. After a couple failed attempts, it would stop working and show the "failed to verify license" dialog even though it was successfully patched with Lucky Patcher. I've tried to remove the License Check with Lucky Patcher, but no success.

Is there anyone else using Poweramp instead of MTCMusic app on these Chinese Android Headunits? Are you using a patched version? If yes, how do you get the patch working permanently and/or remove the License verification step in Poweramp?

S4 radio reception

Here is my issue and I'm hoping that someone can shed some light on this... currently on Canadian Rogers LTE network, but my job site has piss poor reception, usually to the point where I am getting a useless 1 bar on 4g. The thing is... and tech support can offer next to no support... Canadian networks are now sharing their towers should rogers have no reception in the area, others like telus step up

so my question is this... with my stock s4 is there a way to force the phone to go off telus towers. guys I work with have full bars with Telus, meanwhile rogers is terrible. the other option, I only have a couple months left so I could root and modify that way too and not be too worried if I brick

This should be considered a must have along with the Lollipop memory leak fix xposed module for anyone rooted even if they don't use any other xposed modules.
This should noticeably improve battery life.
