My phone is Android 4.4.2 Sense 6 and Software number 5.03.651.3..
System Update Software 5.05.651.2 appear to make download, after I have download, install I chose, and the process stops, not installed? What to do... Can help me, Plzz?

Confused - latest software versions?

Hi Guys

I'm completely confused.

I'm on a H815 in the UK. My phone is an O2-UK branded handset and my latest branded software version is H81510E_00 (v10e). I'm currently using the EU open unbranded firmware which works absolutely fine.

However - around the forums I'm seeing versions V10F, G, H etc so now I'm completely confused.

What is the latest software version available for EU handsets? Is it E? Why are some people saying that D is the latest, or they're installing E but it's showing as version D.

What's the definitive answer as of today - 22nd September? Can we keep a stickied post at the top of the forum simply stating which official software version is the latest for which handsets?

Back button not working after software update?

Hi everyone. I just flashed back to stock (Koodo official firmware) to sell my Note 3 and now my back hardware button isn't working. I have searched the web and to no avail. Could someone please give me an idea of what I can do to fix this? Thank you!!:D

Software update problem

So a couple days ago i got a new system update 4.20.531.5 (54.21MB) for my phone ( T-mobile)
I tried to update it but with no success, the phone enters recovery mode with a message "install aborted" and reboots with the same system update notification.
btw my phone is rooted.... Is there any way to install the update? or maybe to remove the notification

Flash new radio and camera software

I am currently running CyanideL Version 5.1-RC-10.5-d851 and the camera app leaves a little to be desired (in my opinion). Also, I was wondering if there was perhaps a newer radio zip I could flash. Also, can the stock LG G3 Camera app be applied to this rom? If so, where could I find it and a newer radio (if available or necessary)?

S4 Mini: cannot perform software update

A little while ago, I rooted my S4 Mini and installed Android 5 custom firmware. However, my online banking app didn't like root, so I reverted back to standard firmware and removed the root. The phone works fine.

However, when running the OTA update, the phone tells me it cannot update due to root, and I should try using Kies.

I've installed Kies on my PC; plugging the phone in Kies tells me there is an update. It appears to download the required file but the phone does not update. I have tried with SmartSwitch also, but the same happens.

Can anyone please advise me on the following:

What is the latest official update for the S4 Mini; is it Android 5?
How can I update the phone? I thought flashing with Odin, but googling for various permutations of 'S4 Mini Official ROM, S4 Mini Android 5' etc. tends to yield results for the S4 and not the Mini...

Any help here would be great!

Verizon Lg GPad 8.3 vk810 loops in software update screen

Well, I rooted my gpad 8.3 vk810 with iroot. OTA pushed a software update and now it just goes thru the software update process but fails to install or reboot. I tried factory reset from recovery but goes right back to attempting to update software. I also tried using lg support tool to update recovery but that fails also. Can anyone help me or is my gpad toast.

I bought sony xperia z2 last month and it shows me notification for a system update 23.1.A.0.690 (5.0 Lolipop)... I ignored it and never downloded the update because one of my friend had Xperia Z1 and he updated the system software but after the update he started having issues with the phone like it always autoshutdown due to heat up and was almost impossible to restart it.
Many of my friends who owns sony xperia smartphones suggested me not to update because they also started having issues with their devices when they updated the software. one of the main issue they had was the phone slowed down.
I have kitkat software right now. I just want to ask you guys who own Xperia z2 and recently updated to this latest software update, are you guys having any kind of issues and what you people suggest should i stick with the kitkat version or update it

HTC one mini 2 - Died during software update

Hi guys,

I have searched number of forums but have not been able to fix this phone.
Basically I have HTC One Mini 2 which have died (run out of battery) during software update.
Now it will not boot, it will not go into recovery. I have only fastboot mode accessible.

Important: Phone is locked and I cannot unlock it it. I'd loose all pictures when doing so.
This what I'm trying to avoid.
The goal is to get all the pictures from the device.

The phone is not mine, but this is not important right now. My friend asked me for help here.
We just need to get the pictures from the device.
There was no memory card so everything should be stored on 'data' partition.

Software performance and UI lag

Hello

I have read many hours about this phone and will probably be my next device, but some questions before I make a final decision.

I have been a HTC user and always tried to give Samsung a chance but after a time the UI got so laggy, it turns me back to HTC with Sense.

This phone will be my Company/job phone and I don't want to make software every month to get it smooth again.

Have Samsung addressed the lag in Touchwiz? Do you have noticed any lag or slowdowns? For me the lags have always started and got worse after some weeks.

Any suggestions or help will make my decision easier.

My Quattro was previously running on cosmic Rom with philz recovery img but now I switched back to stock Rom but the bootloader is still show the build number different in the bootloader because of which software update download but doesn't install. Pls help me

flashing to other older software.

Htc one m8 software problem.

Hi guys, I'm new to the forum so as I make this thread I would like to say hello to everyone.

I just purchased a HTC ONE M8 of my mate today. His contract was finishing up and he decided to play with this phone what was a bad mistake as he rooted it and messed something up and it's stuck on the boot menu screen. It says *** Software ststus: Modified *** *** Locked ***

I don't even know where to start here.. I would like to put it back to factory software, take this root off and reflash it with nice, clean and non branded EUROPEAN software for this little baby.

(I used to play with Samsung software in Odin but this is just some next level stuff which I don't understand at all..)

Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks so much for any answers guys.

Latest LG G3 software update issues

I got a notification for a software update yesterday. After downloading and installing 2/2, the phone moved on to the usual optimising apps stage that happens after an update. It stuck at 174/199 or thereabouts, and it has been frozen at that overnight.
It took a while to get it to restart this morning, and when it did it carried on optimising 17/19. Since then, many Apps crash out on their logo splash page, or do not load at all, and The Play Store is unavailable.
I probably need a factory reset to sort it out, but backup programs will not run.
What an absolute pain. Seems a number of people have the same issue

How do I disable OTA software updates w/ root?

I'm rooted on OE2 and I'm not planning on updating. I searched and found that Verizon users can freeze SDM.apk and it'll stop updates but it looks like that apk doesn't exist on the AT&T version. I don't really want to flash a custom ROM, is there any other way to stop these forced updates?

Is there a new RUU for the software update 4.28.502.2?

i updated my phone. things where fin but now its stuck and i need an ruu but i cant find one for this software number.
