Solved my random reboot problem

Ok, random reboots were driving me crazy. I have a rooted phone, my son has a bone stock one.

I tried the GPS accuracy, reloading.. etc etc.. average of 4 per day. I was thinking it was part of the accelerometer hardware or software.

Ok, I got my son a new case, same as mine (different color)

He started getting random reboots. Never did before.

He said, I think the case is pressing gently on the buttons and causing a reboot.

I took an exacta knife to my case, cut the rubber button parts out.

Vola! 24 hours later.. No reboots. That is a record for me. :)

Crazy and simple solution.

Problem with Contacts and Google Sync

Greetings guys,
I had to reset my phone to defaults this afternoon, so i lost all apps, data and contacts. When i try to sync with my google contacts, i never got all of contacts back, althought i always selected save to google account when i added a new contact on my phone.

It's like some contacts "stuck " to the google account and where synced back, while others didn't.
What could have gone wrong ?

Problem with stock messaging app after update to Lollipop 5.1.1

After update to Lollipop 5.1.1 I can't see my own picture in stock sms app. The pictures of other contacts can I see normal. The other things are working ok.
With other SMS apps is no such problem, I can see my own picture and from contact.

Problem with the Update of the Android Wear Update 5.11!

i have a big problem with my watch. I bought my watch today and try now since more than 3 hours to update the LG G Watch to the newest Android Wear.
Everytime when i try to download the update there comes the error message "Google Play-services" was ended.

Nexus 6 problem

N4 wifi problem, help please

My N4 is no longer able to detect my home network. It detects my neighbor's network and several other networks, although it cannot connect to any other network. When I try to connect to a detected network, it just says "Saved". My home network is working fine and several other devices in the home are connected to it. In fact, my wife's N4 is still connecting with no issues. I have tried rebooting the phone, rebooting the router, telling the phone to forget the network, changing the channel on the router, no success. Running version 4.4.4.

Any thoughts on what might be wrong or ideas for a fix?

LG G3 quick remote problem on RR rom

i want to use resurrection rom and quick remote. I flashed rom and quickremote.zip without any problem. Phone opened and app installed succesfully. Then i tried to add command but there is no command listed in the app but in other aosp , there are a lot of commands listed. How can i fix it?

Facebook top bar problem

Hi!

I have a strange problem with top bar at facebook app. I didn't find that anybody had encountered such thing.

Everything is shown at following picture

By default message icon should be in one line with the others. I suppose you know what I mean. It happened unexpectactly. It was looking normal after installing.

Why it happens and how to fix it?

Fixing IMEI null problem after flashing ROM

Hello,
I have a Lenovo K3 Note (k50t5) that I bought from China.
Since it came preloaded with a lot of bloatware and without an option to update to newer builds from Lenovo, I flashed the Indian ROW (rest of the world) k50a40 version and updated to the latest S121 version.
The problem is that the IMEI got deleted and I couldn't fix it with numerous methods I found in various forums.
I rooted the phone using the CWM method.
I tried using Mobile uncle app, but it doesn't have the engineer MTK option for some reason, only Android.
I accessed engineering mode through the dialer (*#*#3646633#*#*), and tried using AT command but it gave me the common error that it cannot send the command in user mode. Making a space before the + sign just gave me an ERROR, without specifics. I modified the build file from user to userdebug, and now I always get ERROR.
The weird thing is that I get a data connection from time to time, but I can't make phone calls or send SMS. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Nexus 7 major issues, may be bricked, guides don't seem to account for my problem

Hi, this forum seems pretty active, which is exciting! Hopefully someone can help me out here. I have searched a bunch and see a lot of similar things to my problem, but I'm running into issues that aren't really described by anything else I am looking at.

Quick background
The device is a 2013 Nexus 7, Wi-Fi version. I never unlocked/rooted the device, so it was basically factory settings. On Thursday everything was working fine. Later that day, it started showing the message "unfortunately the process google.process.gapps has stopped" as soon as I unlocked, even after rebooting. I was not launching any apps. I could navigate for about 1 second every time I hit "OK" on the error before it popped back up, so I tried all the fixes I had found online for the problem (clearing app cache/preferences, disabling/enabling download manager, etc). I decided just to wipe the device and reset from factory defaults. I wasn't confident in the Factory Reset working correctly while the error kept popping up, so I booted into Recovery Mode and just decided to do the Factory Reset from there.

The reset seemed to freeze, but eventually the device rebooted and I got the text "erasing" with the animated robot. This will stay that way for forever, though sometimes it eventually turns into the android icon with the red exclamation mark.

The current problem
Right now, if I boot the device normally, it will show the google logo, then go into "Erasing", which animates. If I hit Power+volume up, it seems to be "erasing /data" but it never gets further than that. If I turn it off, it will turn itself back on and go back to erasing. I have left it on for 14+ hours and it never progresses, other than the times it sometimes stops showing "Erasing" and instead just goes to the red exclamation mark.

I can get to the bootloader menu by holding volume down+power. If I select recovery mode, it shows the Android animating logo (no text) and if I hit Power+Volume Up it shows "Formatting /data..." in the bottom. Eventually this fails and recovery mode will pop up with the following text at the bottom:

Hi everyone. I have a problem to update my xt890. i've just bought second hand Motorola as a spare phone. Currently running original 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. when i'm gonna to check updates, this option " Software update"under About remains not active (grey color) it doesn't respond by tap. I've done a factory restore but it's the same.
Phone bought from first owner (older lady) and never has been messed up. Any suggestions?

Display Problem

Hello! I have problem with my htc. Everything was okay. Today i checked my phone, but the display was terrible. There are red/orange/gray lines on black screen. The quality is not like a HD LCD. Its very bad. Touchscreen is working nice, but the display picture is awful. I did not dropped my phone and there isn't damage. Please help me :confused::confused:

Moto X Play ROM problem

Hello everyone!

So i installed the CM12 rom for Moto X Play xt1562 version. Everything went fine until i did a factory reset. I first had a bootloop and could go inside the rom again. Then i did a factory reset and now i cant get pass TWRP..

I have been searching on the forum for clues why and how to solve my problem but cannot find anything.

Just to describe what message i get is :

" failed to mount /dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/system at/system: No such file or directory."

I have the "stock" rom aswell but the same message appear when i do this :(


I'm very happy if someone have the answare to my million dollar question!

Nexus 10 Wi-Fi problem :(

I have a Nexus 10 and a FritzBox 7360SL.

I was last week in Belgien now i´m back @home and now i cant connect my Nexus 10 with the FitzBox.
The same Problem i have with my SmartPhone Xperia Z3. there is some kind of a sign on the Wi-Fi connection (exclamation mark).

I reset my FritzBox back to Factory but nothing helps.
I also reset my Nexus 10 the problem is still there.

xperia z1 no signal problem (HELP!!!!)

my xperia z1 suddenly have no signal.
i already tried my sim to other phone, it works perfecting and have a full bar of signal.
i also tried other sim network to my z1, but it also indicates no signal.
i tried to repair it using pc companion, but the problem is still the same.
i also tried hard/factory reset my z1, still same problem.
i can access the sim option and function, but still no signal.
i also try using simcard reader app, it can read my sim card and i can view my simcard information.
so i think my phone simcard reader is functional.

I need your help to solve my problem on my only phone. thank you:crying::crying::crying:
