Verizon Galaxy note 2 with root no data access.

First time poster, so if I do anything incorrectly I'm sorry. A few days ago I rooted my SCHi605 Verizon Note 2 on 4.1.1 using Odin. The root worked, but now I have no data. I've been searching the internet madly trying to find a solution. I've even reinstalled the rooted stock rom. If anyone can help me I'd be much indebted. I'm losing my mind! Please let me know if there is anymore information I can provide.

Bought a NEW S5 from china - now I want to kill myself. (Verizon locked)

Hi XDA!

I recently bought an S5 on ebay from a seller in china. In the settings, it shows SM-G900A in 'About phone', but when I tried to flash a custom ROM, I got a message that Software not authorized by VERIZON was detected on the phone and I should return it to a Verizon retailer.
Since I live in Sweden, this is not an option, and I flashed back to stock.

This breaks my heart, completely. I don't want to be stuck on TouchWiz 4.4 - I've been running custom roms since the dawn of custom roms!

Is there any known way to bypass this crap? I've already sent a message to the chinese guy, but my hopes are not to high.

At least it could be rooted with towelroot, so I'm not completely screwed.

using Verizon Note 5 on T-Mobile?

Is this possible?

I just picked up a Verizon Note 5, put my T-Mobile sim in (like I have for tons of verizon devices in the past) and expected it to work, but it does not.

I get no bars with a little X on top. No service. No text/calls/data. I have tried multiple APNs. I've tried global mode, lte cdma mode, lte gsm umts mode. I experienced an issue similar to this on the Verizon Note 4 once it updated to lollipop. However for that Note 4, I put a verizon sim in and that of course worked, so then I took the verizon sim out and put my T-Mobile sim in and it finally worked, as if the verizon sim had to "activate" the phone.

I tried those same steps on this Verizon Note 5 (Verizon sim first - checked internet and it was working with the verizon sim - put in T-Mobile sim - no dice)

I thought all LTE Verizon devices were unlocked? Is anybody here actually using a Verizon Note 5 on T-Mobile or AT&T??

G900V stuck on verizon loading screen after flashing kitkat

I was following a guide on androidcentral to flash kitkat on to my phone so I could root it. Odin shows that I successfully flashed my phone, but when my phone reboots it stays on the verizon screen. It shows up as a blank disk drive when plugged in to my laptop.

I hadn't realized that my SD card was still in my phone while I tried to flash. The SD still has all its memory.

I have already tried removing the battery and putting it back in and I have tried a factory reset, but nothing happens when I hold the buttons down.

I have tried searching these forums, but have not been able to find anything that works.

Just wanted to ask if anyone knows for a fact if the Verizon s3 mini is unlocked for GSM just like the "normal" s3 is.

[Help] Using LG G3 Verizon model on Sprint Network

As the title implies, I've tried my own research and came up with nothing on the matter. The Verizon model does not work with a Sprint SIM though it is claimed to be unlocked off the manufacturer so I'm leaning towards compatibility being the problem, is there any way to solve this? Maybe something can be done if the phone is rooted and using TWRP? Thanks for any help.

Wifi Tether issues after 5.1 update Verizon

My Wifi Tether is not firing up correctly after I've updated to 5.1 on Verizon. I am rooted with stock.

but these settings don't work. It tells me "tether started with errors." Then when I check the log it says the file doesn't exist. I cannot find any wifi networks on my computer after I start it.

Again, I am rooted with stock 5.1 firmware. Anyone had any luck with it?

Verizon dropping to 1x and !

Have not seen any mention of anyone really having data issues. However this was my experience once I was rooted. Of course all the proper settings in networks tab. Thought maybe a bad sim as I had it for awhile and cut it for the MXP. Verizon swap no problem. Leave the store and ten minutes later it happened again. While rooted I only had gravitybox and viper installed along with kernel auditor. Uninstalled them no change. So here I am now after a factory restore and no signal drops whatsoever. About to reroot and go step by step to try and trigger again. Besides returning phone for what I think is software related is there anything else I am missing to setup after rooted that is tainting my setup. Maybe a rom would help. But not too many days left for Amazon 14 day return on cellphones. This is last resort as I love the phone. Thanks for any assistance.

Made The Switch From Verizon to T-mobile...

I just switched from the Note 4 on Verizon to the Note 5 on T-mobile; New phone expected to arrive tomorrow.

One thing I saw mentioned here and there about the T-mobile Service is this "Advanced Messaging Service." There is limited information I could find, no real Videos demoing or discussing the feature, but a couple blog post here and there making mention of it.

Has anyone used this feature on the Note 5; If so, how does it function, does it function well, is there any lag between sending and receiving messages, does the Live Presence indication actually work ("Bob is typing" etc.) Any kind of information or feedback on this "Feature" would be appreciated.

Also what is your experience with the WiFi calling? Does it truly sound like HD Voice quality? Any issue switching for WiFi calling to 4G (walking out of the home does the call drop when switching to 4G coverage?)

Unlocked Sprint S6 on Verizon?

I have an unlocked Sprint Samsung S6 and I'm trying to get it to work on Verizon but it doesn't want to work. It shows an exclamation and R where the signal bars are. I have tried setting up the APN and a Verizon rep put the sprint phone in their system, but that didn't work either. Is there any way to get this to work? Do u have to flash Verizon's Rom to it? I noticed that even unlocked it still seems to have the sprint activation stuff..... Please help, scoured the Internet and forums to no avail :/

Verizon GS5 Not Charging

Hello, recently I've had a problem where I can't charge my verizon galaxy s5. It's been rooted for a while now (about 7 months) and one day it just stopped charging. I assumed it might be the rom, so i switched to a different one. This didn't fix the problem so I decided to back to factory default. This didn't fix the problem either and I have no idea what the issue is. The battery works just fine because I can charge it on my friends gs5. Also around the same time as it stopped charging, the vibration mode on the phone no longer seems to work. This wasn't fixed by the switching of roms either. Any help would be greatly appreciated. HTC One M8 Verizon RUU App Stuck?

Hi everybody. I am currently trying to restore to ruu android lollipop using the application from this thread.

I have htc drivers and have restarted my pc. The application detects my phone properly, as well as ADB for safe measure.

The application gets stuck on sending..and won't progress (picture shown) for longer then five minutes. I left it for almost 3 hours and expected it to be done. Came back to my phone being dead :(

I have tried doing the first method with the 0P6BIMG.zip on the sd card, but my hboot will not find the zip file no matter how many times I tried (including wiping the sd card)

Any ideas? Or other methods to get back to stock android RUU so I can return it to verizon? Thank you. :)

Should I update? (verizon)

Hey guys. I just got this mobile (verizon) a week ago. Its not a Dev edition.
It keeps prompting me to update to lollipop but I wanted to unlock its bootloader first. Since everyone has been telling me that its impossible, should I wait in case a procedure comes up or should I update it to lollipop?

Activating Used phone on Verizon.

I just bought a note 5 on swappa for Verizon. I cut my micro Sim for my g3 and put it in the note 5. When I powered it on it was automatically activated in my Verizon account. Is this a safe method of activating?

I normally add it with the imei on Verizons site and then turn on the phone.

This was plug and play. Am I good?

Questions about Nexus 6 on Verizon

Hey folks,

I'm wondering with all the recent monthly builds that Google has been releasing, what build # my Verizon Nexus 6 should be on. Currently, it's on LMY48M but it's been acting really strange. Text messages won't always go through, sometimes half of my wallpaper disappears, and the phone's settings don't always work.

By phone settings, I mean I'll be in a setting page like accounts, trying to change the sync settings for my accounts and it won't let me choose a specific account to manage the sync settings. It's weird.
I'm not sure what's happening, or if it's just the build # that's wrong. I'm also rooted and unlocked, but using stock kernel and stock build.

My Nexus 6 is unlocked and rooted using WugFresh Toolkit, and I bought the device straight from Google about a year ago.

P.S. If anyone knows what I can do, Enhanced 4G LTE does not work on my phone at all. People cannot hear me, and calls are dropped all the time. I've had to turn that off. Any suggestions on how to get that working would be greatly appreciated too! I'm not sure if this is related to my radios or not.

[Q] No LTE at all (Verizon Variant)

so i have a Verizon one max running on T-Mobile but i cannot get an LTE lock at all , my girlfriends phone has 4 out of 5 bars on LTE but this phone for some reason will not grab signal. Edge works perfect HSPA/HSDPA works perfect but when i go to the *#*#4636#*#* menu and select LTE ONLY it still won't get any signal at all. I've tried this on stock while still S-ON , i tried it on 5.0.2 Sense 6 , and i've tried on CM 12.1 none of these roms will get LTE, what gives ?

also today i tried changing the NV values for the LTE Bands to support T-Mobile bands 2 , 4 and 12 but still no signal.
