Is there a module for that? I found one at xposed repository but it haven't been updated since last year and it's not working anymore.

I am trying to find an app that will let me disable the cores that I don't want to use. Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

"samsung security policy update" doesn't appear - but I want to disable it

I have a Galaxy S6 5.1.1 bought in Thailand. It is rooted.
I want to use AdBlock Plus but it doesn't block the ads.
I read in ABP's forum that in order to make it work I should disable "samsung security policy update".
However, this option doesn't appear where it should, and I see no option to do so.

Could anyone help??

Disable New WiFi Feature in Android 5.1.1

Hello Everyone,

I recently upgraded to CM 12.1 and discovered that my WiFi won't automatically connect to my router anymore if it doesn't detect access to the internet (I'm in China and Google is Blocked). I believe this explains why this is happening as there is internet and having to manually connect each time is annoying at least Is there a way to disable this "new feature" ?

Disable snapchat video recording sounds. (Maybe by deleting sound files?)

Hello. So I have this problem with my new phone (Huawei Honor 7) that whenever I record a snapchat video it plays a sound when it starts and stops recording. I did not have this issue using my old phone which is a Sony Xperia Z1. The sound is comming through the speaker even if my heaphones are plugged in and my sound is muted.

I thought abou deleting the soundfiles but I have no idea where to look for them. Does anyone know where the sounds are saved? I have also not rooted the phone if that is of any importance in this case.

Disable stock Lollipop notification drawer?

I am using Remix ROM for my Galaxy S3, it's Lollipop 5.1.1. I prefer to use Power Toggles notification bars, so to conserve screen space I'd like to turn off/disable/get rid of the stock notification drawer. I have gone into the settings and removed all the tiles, however when you swipe down on notification area the space where the tiles for at least one row would be, is still there, just blank :( Any way to do this? Thanks a lot for your help :)

My camera button is locked. Can I disable it?

Hey I don't know how to do all that fancy stuff with rooting and such, super stupid when it comes to tech. Is there a simple way to just disable the button? It's locked / like thinks i'm pressing it down so I literally can't use it because it just keeps opening firefly and the camera. It's driving me insane. Thanks

Notifications pop up on a black screen (white text) on standby, how to disable this?

Hi, I installed the official Korean 4.4.2 ROM for the e973. It works great, there are few buttons with Korean but they don't bother me.

I'm not sure if this 4.4.2 specific or is on all the ROMs (I don't remember).

But when the phone is on standby, and a, say, email comes in the screen stays black but there are notifications(white text) showing for a a second or two, anyone know how I can disable this. I've looked around Options and nothing yet.:crying:

disable auto screen wake - possible?

Whenever I touch/move my moto X play the screen awakes, is it possible to disable this so screen will always stay off until I push the power button? Tried looking in the screen settings, but can't find anything there.

I have another phone also with android 5.1.1 and the display is off until I push the power button - so this must be some motorola feature?

I want to disable it to save power, as screen flickering on and off all the time can't be a good thing.

Disable Android Auto?

Have a car dock which triggers car mode as before, only with Lollipop it triggers Android Auto, which hijacks the home screen - if I'm running Google maps and want to go to home to open another app (music player, Sirius, etc.) when I hit the home button I get quick flash of a green Android Auto screen, then it snaps back to maps - can't get to home - if Maps is running and you hit the back button, it closes or stops navigation, which means i would have restart maps again just so can launch another app - this was not an issue on Kit Kat - only choice so far is to exit Car Mode via the drop down screen, but then unless I'm running nav the phone goes to sleep -

As I understand it, Android Auto is meant to allow phone to interface with enabled car radios, and is not needed/usable on radios which are not Android Auto enabled, like mine - any ideas/solutions/work arounds would be much appreciated -

FYI, I'm running Lollipop 5.1 bone stock from OTA update - I have done a factory reset since the upgrade -

Disable TouchWiz

Hi,

I'm thinking to buy a S6 but I really don't like the touchwiz (I'm not the only one :D).
I read that using the google now launcher and the Material Theme is possible to have a sort of google stock image on the s6. Is it true? does it really disable the touchwiz functions?
Is there any other way to have a google stock ( Nexus like)on the s6?

Moto Apps: which are safe to disable?

I bought the X Play because it's as stock as it gets, so I don't really need all the Moto Apps.

So I'm wondering which of them are safe to disable and which I should keep on...

Any clues?

disable back and recent buttons or turn down sensitivity.

I am having issues with the touch sensitivity of the note 5. The screen and capacitive buttons (back and recent apps) are simply TOO sensitive.

is there a way to disable these buttons in games or rather bring down the sensitivity down a bit?

for example when I am playing a game this i have to hold my phone in landscape mode. my thumb would always sometimes touch the "recent apps" button and it will bring me out of the game.

What does this mod do?
This mod disables the popup that warns about disabling wifi when you enable the Hotspot feature from the Notification panel quicksetting toggle. The popup normally only occurs when wifi is enabled, so this will prevent that popup.
This does not disable the warning if you enable hotspot from the Settings menu.


What app needs modifying?
SecSettings2.apk - must be deodexed app because we will be editing smali code.


The mod:

1. Decompile your deodexed SecSettings2.apk


2. Open smali\com\android\settings\wifi\mobileap\WifiApWar ning.smali with a text editor

How does this mod work?
When the hotspot is enabled, a check is performed to see if wifi is enabled, and if it is, a popup message is displayed to warn the user that wifi will be disabled while the hotspot is enabled.
By inserting the "goto :cond_5", the comparision checks of "wifiState" are skipped, so the warning does not get created.


Tips:
If you have trouble recompiling the resources after making the mod:

• The classes.dex normally get compiled before the resources


• Simply find the newly compiled classes.dex in the output folder and copy it back into the old deodexed app (7zip).

Disable ota notifications?

I'm rooted lmy48i running Google project fi. I don't want to get the ota notifications or better yet, no sucking up my WiFi to download them.

I've searched Google as much as I care to and could prolly tell you how to do this on every device but this one because of it.

Disable power button menu and volume keys when screen is locked

Hi,
I installed an anti-theft tracking app on my phone but I can't disable the "airplane mode, sound, reboot, shutdown" menu (that appears when you long-press the power button) and the volume rocker, when the device is locked but the screen is on... so anyone can just shutdown my phone or mute the ringtone or put it in airplane mode and that makes the tracking app useless.

I tried using "Smart lockscreen protector" by nez droid but it doesn't work.

Is there a way to disable these "features"?

Screen replaced cant disable backlight

I broke my phone screen digitizer/LCD/frame and replaced it with ebay one.

My phone booted up and working good but i cannot to disable the button backlights next to home button. it worked like a stock phone, my phone rom and 3rd party software has no control over backlight. any idea what i've missed ?

How to disable Bootanimation on Z1

Hello everyone,

there are several threads regarding this topic but non gives the right answer (most with answers are only about CHANGING the boot animation). What I want on my Z1: Disable that Animation. The more booting messages I get the better it is. But I do not want to install some fake kernel message animation. Default Android logo would be still better than the current animation.

So is there a way to disable the boot animation to get raw booting information?

Disable Volume Keys

My phone ( Micromax Canvas 2.2 - Android v4.2.2 - Rooted ) fell off from table and volume side keys got damaged. Now it is malfunctioning which causes in silencing every volume related functions. Now I m using "Volume Lock and Control" 3rd party application to avoid change in volume but volume panel screws everything. Using "Gravity Box" i made volume panel transparent but touch is still the issue. I want to disable my physical volume keys. Help appreciated.

I wanted to know if i can make wifi turn off with out coming back on by it self i hate that and have turned off everthing that:) automatically turns on yet it tryst to turn on over and over again does it the most when I'm using my .mobile hotspot and will actually turn off my hotspot
