[MOD] Sound volume Headphone Boost

as I had the M8 before the Note 5 I felt how less the volume levels compared to M8 especially on headphones
so I moded mixer_gain.xml in system/etc to get much higher volume even higher than the M8 ;)
so decided to share because why not
the only issue I had is that the music stops when you max the volume with some devices (like my car's AUX) the only one though so if you know a fix I would be very grateful if you share it

instructions just copy the xml file in the zip attached to system/etc
or simply flash the zip from recovery and hit thanks that would be helpful to me :)

Poor sound quality over headphones with microphone

Hello,

Today I got new headphones but the sound quality is poor. I think it may be due to headphones having microphone - thus 4-pole connector. I know there are more types of these connectors, and I don't really need a microphone so I was wondering if something like this would help.

Xperia sound issue..

First of hi everyone im new member of xda community and sorry for my "bad" English.
I got problem with xperia Z.
My loud speaker is not working it has cracking sound and he is buzzing when i try to play music, i tried to flash with custom and stock roms, try to change speaker but without results, my vibration is not working to i saw on forum shorting circuit will fix vibration but i dont know how to do it.

If someone got similiar problem like i do please wrote answer im frustrated without sound cant hear when someone is calling me ...

Disable snapchat video recording sounds. (Maybe by deleting sound files?)

Hello. So I have this problem with my new phone (Huawei Honor 7) that whenever I record a snapchat video it plays a sound when it starts and stops recording. I did not have this issue using my old phone which is a Sony Xperia Z1. The sound is comming through the speaker even if my heaphones are plugged in and my sound is muted.

I thought abou deleting the soundfiles but I have no idea where to look for them. Does anyone know where the sounds are saved? I have also not rooted the phone if that is of any importance in this case.

Sound is Cracking after new update.
Very irritating Sound Distortion.

Is anyone else facing same issue ?
is it a Software or Hardware issue ?

Things i checked before posting.

Turned off Audio Wizard ( NO Change still same issue )
Runned the phone in Safe Mode ( Still no Change )
Wiped Cache ( Still no Change )

Sound Recorder app

I think I missed something somewhere. I have working USB audio and I have the Sound Recorder app (thank you Renate!). Today my little mic arrived. I started things going, checked to make sure the USB audio device was recognized, plugged in the mic and started the Sound Recorder app.

"No device"

So.......I'm guessing that there is something over and above what is required for audio that I have missed somewhere?

No sound when recording video

Just got mine today. Go and record some video of the kids and dog. play it back and silence. I have no sound with recorded video. Music works, videos on youtube work, speakerphone works. Might have to return this one

No sound with mic during call

After red severals threads, my problem isn't solved.

SInce I'm under Viper one v9.0.0 and so under lollipop, I'm unable to call with mic mode, only speaker mode works.

I already perform erase data + cache from differents google's services + wipping dalvik and cache ==> no improvement.

My Google play service version was 7.8.99 and I tried to update to 8.15 + erase cache & data from this service + erase cache and dalvik in recovery ==> No improvement

I haven't tried this methode yet, because of the very old version on Google play service http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-...-play-t2969715.

By the way, the dictaphone works like a charm.

So, Should I try to install the old patch viperone rom 7.0.2 for the known problem under kitkat with no sound ?
Should I call HTC ? or doing something else ?

Android M Preview Sound Pack

Does anyone have a flash-able file to replace Lollipop System/UI/Ringtone/Notifications with Android M's sound pack? I have the Preview 3 File. But, I don't know how to extract the correct files. I like the ringtones and such. Just dont feel like using M as a daily driver due to lack of support with apps.

Help!! No sound

I just got my gear S after a week of use it was perfect. I could call and hear music with the built in speaker. Now everytime I try to play a song or anything an error comes up. Could I please get any help. I've tried factory reset and nothing.

No sound after OTA Update (CM)

Hey guys,

Im new to this forum, but i got a biiig problem since more than 5months, i sent my phone to samsung and they changed the speaker and everything whats with sound, so i think its software related, and i dont find any solutions to solve it. Ive flashed my I9505 with CM jftexx and then i did a OTA CM-Update and since then my phone fcks me really up: I got no sound often, sometimes i got sound and when its away i must reboot my phone 5-10 times and the sound is back, but sometimes it lasts a day and sometimes 10mins; When this sound problem happens, every video is in Slo Mo and sometimes i cant even play vids even with sound then the APP (Facebook, Youtube,...) crashes. When i press the volume buttons Touch-Wiz crashes and the phone reboots itself.
My Phone is Stock now and from Austria, i flashed it over 10 times to stock in different ways, but it didn't helped.
Sry guys if such a thread exists, please link them if they do.

Help on Changing the System Click sound

Hey guys. You know that sound that you get every time you click on something on the phone? (Apps, navigation bar etc.) I always get this loud 'chit' sound on my Xperia C2305, and I was wondering if I could manually change it to the Xperia Z3/Z4 click sound. (Those similar of the PS3 menu click sound.) Can somebody please help me on how to change this. My phone is 100% rooted with Kingroot + I've got Root Explorer. Any Xperia z3 click tones uploaded as well will be highly appreciated. Thanks! :)

is there anyone there have found a way to disable the shutter sound on the g4 ?
have tried to rename the system files but no luck the sounds might be imbedded in the camera apk ?

I've installed MIUI7 rom using stock samsung camera app but the problem is i cant disable camera sound. i tried:
- turn off in camera setting
-use root explorer delete shutter.ogg file
-silent mode
even if i have my earphone plugged, this annoying sound still play by speaker
any help???

Boot Sound locked when using Encryption

Hi Guys,

I just want to preface this by saying I cannot root my phone. Not because I am incapable but because this is my corporate phone and I would no longer be able to use it for work related things if I rooted it.

I am using a Bell Canada Samsung Galaxy S6. Every person I've come across that has an S6 or newer samsung phone is able to boot up on silent and not get the samsung noise when the logo comes up. I tried doing a hard reset on my phone just to test to see if my phone would boot silently if I set it on "Mute" mode and it did WITHOUT encryption but I am forced to use encryption by my company's device management policy app or I can't access other things like my e-mail.

Having said all this, does anyone know how to get the device to boot silently without rooting with these factors in mind? I reached out to samsung and they were clueless. As far as the support knows, the phones cannot boot without the noise even on "Mute" mode which is clearly not the case.

I'd really appreciate any help and insight. I've tried the Silent boot app as well with no success. I've noticed this happens only when encrypted and upon checking the volume settings on the screen where you have to put your encryption password after booting up, the volume settings are kicked back to default. This has to be the dumbest and most annoying oversight ever.

Why video sound comes out so bad in live shows?

Hey guys, yet another try to record video in a live show... And again.. The audio of it comes so ****ty and distorted.

So i don't expect any solution from oneplus anymore. I even tried to take the microphone gain a little which didn't really helped so i guess it's just the mic isn't so good.

Any ideas how to get good audio in loud environments? I just don't think it's legit that an iPhone 4 can peform good in these kind of environments when the OPO (which is a better device a hundred times) cannot do such simple thing.
