So I've been running an htc one M8 on at&t, S-On, bootloader unlocked via htc-dev, with Clockworkmod Recovery and a kitkat version of pac-rom since last December. I've made and have many backups via CWM since then.
Lately its been running slowly (I think some memory leak somewhere? It works for a while but eventually chugs along till something crashes it to the lock screen) so I thought i'd update it finally. I figured i'd update to a lollipop rom and wanted to try out paranoid android to try a rom with just the features I want. Here's everything i've done till now and where I'm at.
1. Backup Everything via titanium backup and CWM
2. Wipe system/data and flash on paranoid android 5.1 from CWM
3. Get told I have too old a bootloader (3.16) and require 3.18-3.19
4. Look around online and see I need to update the firmware, acquired commonly from ota-updates.
5. Look around more and see i'll need to relock my bootloader to do so
6. fastboot oem lock <- this is where I think all my ****-ups started
7. Do something, end up just wanting to restore back to my pac-rom backup <- Don't quite remember everything around this step. I think I was looking around for a firmware update, saw my CID was CWS__001, and ended up deciding to temporarily give up on updating
8. Restore from my backup in CWM, I may have also had the error mounting /data here, don't remember
9. Stuck in pac-rom boot screen
10. Figured it was some error with the bootloader, unlocked again via htc-dev (which in turn wiped phone again)
11. tried restoring from backup, everything works until it needs to mount /data, errors out there, and here I am. Booting it just leaves it stuck at the pac-rom boot screen
I've tried formatting /data from cwm (can't because can't mount it), flashing a stock version of pac-rom from my sd-card via CWM, reflashing my recovery, and maybe some other things i'm forgetting
Anyone know how to fix this? I can't quite figure it out. It seems similar to
the issue here, but that was a dead end. Here's the output of adb getvar all, which seems usually requested

I may be forgetting some info, so can provide any more if necessary. Any help getting back to my backup, or if I eventually have to return to stock to fix this, get my firmware updated and on a lollipop rom, would be appreciated.
