HTC Desire 510 keeps restarting itself

Hi everyone,

My sisters HTC Desire 510 has been constantly resetting itself.

Unfortunately I haven't managed to get my hands on it (we live apart due to her being at Uni).

Apparently, it was fine yesterday and she left it charging overnight only to wake this morning and it turned itself off. Now, when she turned it on, it keeps restarting itself. It won't stay on for more than 30 seconds. She's tried taking the battery out and restarting it, but no good. It won't even stay on long enough for her to do a full reset.

She's been on a forum and all the help she seems to get says "send it off to be fixed" which, of course, is something we'd rather avoid (though I guess it's still in it's warranty period).

I could try to get her to factory reset it in the Hboot menu/recovery but I'm not sure if she's got the FastBoot option ticked in Power Settings.

Any ideas?

can anyone get the stock rom with stock recovery and kernal for htc desire 526g+?

my phone is soft breeked and i realy need the original rom and recovery images can any one get me them? its really easy if you have the device
you just go into mtk droid tools and do backup

Virgin Mobile Desire 510 stuck on HTC screen

My Virgin Mobile HTC Desire 510 is stuck on HTC screen. I just got the phone in April and need it to last me 2 more months. It is not rooted. I removed the SD card and have tried everything including a factory reset to no avail. What are my options? I really need to get this working again ASAP. Someone somewhere mentioned something about "flashing" it, but I don't know what this means or how to do it, or if that will even help me with this issue.

Please help!

Edit: I should mention that my computer runs OSX 10.9.5 (in case I need to download some programs.)

Hello, my name is Rob and I'm new to XDA but I've used your forums before to help me root my Coolpad and this new phone (kudos)

So I bought this phone a little over a month ago and I've been super severely disappointed in it.

I'll just start off quickly by telling you a little behind my purchase...
I needed to upgrade from the Coolpad 3G that I had been using for months with Sprint's pre-paid and I was planning on getting a Samsung Galaxy.

Well they had to run my credit and I couldn't put down the 0+ deposit they wanted for the S5. So the guy brought up this HTC Desire that was on sale for .99 or whatever, without and research or anything I went ahead and bought it because I desperately needed a new phone with 4G capability for my new job... the sales guy sold me on it having 8 GB internal storage (Which was a huge lie... thanks, man), 1 GB of RAM, a solid quadcore processor and a decent camera.

I immediately got home and realized that there was only barely 1 Gigabyte of free storage and I about threw a fit but I knew I needed the phone so I kept it and I took the next step, (Rooting it so I could install and run link2SD)

So I went through the long, tedious process of rooting my phone and putting TWRP, superuser, etc. on it and got my link2SD going.

The day after I finished rooting my phone these errors started popping up and telling me that I had an update I needed to install and download:

It made it so I can't even use my Gmail or my hangouts app on the phone (Gmail being the most important) this is seriously distressing.

also , this update pops up every few hours and I have tried to install it but it just bounces me back to the recovery TWRP screen and I can't seem to figure it out.

I work a double shift at work every day, I play in 2 bands and I've scoured the internet, forums and lost tons of sleep over this, I just want to be able to use this phone for a few more months without these issues, if anyone has any kind of idea what I can do to fix the errors and get my updates installed or if there is a better option (I'm okay with wiping / resetting since my apps and pictures are all backed up) let me know ASAP, please and thank you very much!

Hi guys , I have (HTC desire 310 dual sim) and it suddenly became doesn't work !
The big problem I can't enter to download mode or recovery mode and the phone is useless . :(
And I'm a Samsung guy I don't know how to handle this situation . :crying:

Can not unlock the desire 500 single sim via win 10

Dear All

I try to root my phone (desire 500 single sim hboot 1.3..... ). I'm using win 10 , regarding to the good describe of how to root the htc desire 500, I try to following the structure. First of all I need to unlock the boot-loader but unfortunately in win 10 when the phone is powered one and boot normally the windows can recognize it,but when I go via fast boot option windows can not recognize the phone and the " usb can not recognize " is stop the possess. I really be grateful if some one can help me to solve this issue. I should remind that I try to unistall and install again under device manger option and also manually add the driver but it not works for me.

HTC desire 820 g, update failed and ERROR COMMAND

yesterday night i checked for update in my phone htc 820 desire g plus, yes it was there and i was downloading and installed it, what happens was at the time of installing there shows an error message and phone stopped it right there. i din't even touched my phone until it was installing. after error message i restarted my phone using the volume up and power button but again its shows the error message, then again i tried of formatting and factory restore setting, but the same error message displayed that "ERROR COMMAND".even i restarting my phone many times but the same message displaying "ERROR COMMAND" suggest me some thing in this regard.

Desire 816 Wont Power on

Hi,
i recently replaced the LCD on my desire. before I did i let the battery completely drain. After reassembly the orange light blinks and a picture with a battery with a lightning bolt flashes on and off. A couple of times the white HTC power on screen came on but turned back off after about 2 to 3 seconds. Any ideas?
I've tried unhooking the battery and re hooking it
I've tried hold vol- and power
I've tried vol + and power
and ofc power

How to Revert to Stock ROM for HTC Desire 816?

Hi guys!
I recently installed a nightly custom ROM(CM 12) from CyanogenMod for my device(HTC desire 816).
Now I wish to revert back to stock ROM from htc.
Please tell me the steps to do it because I cannot flash the stock ROM using the CyanogenMod recovery(Error: Signature Verification Failed) and I cannot find any other custom recovery for my device.
Please help me out ASAP!!

Well i was rooting my htc desire 816 international version
And all the steps went ok till i was going to install the recovery,i installed cwm recovery and they said it worked well but when i try to enter the recovery from it just go to a blank screen and just stay there not able to reboot not able to do anything

HTC Desire 510 carrier unlock cricket

Hey guys,
I picked up a couple of handsets from Cricket when I was down in the US and I'm trying to carrier unlock them for family members.
The HTC Desire 510 and 626s.
I know this is the 510 thread so I'll be asking my questions about it. I understood this phone comes in 32 and 64 bit variants. not sure how to tell but since it's the Cricket variant, it's supposed to be GSM capable which also, from some searching, leads me to believe it is carrier unlockable albeit differently than the sprint/metro versions
Searching these forums got me to bootloader unlocking, which I've done for both handsets, but this is not of much use to me as I won't be rooting or flashing custom ROMs.
So my last question is, does anyone have relevant information on how to do this? has that been documented?

HTC Desire 816 randomly soft bricked

Good afternoon,

I'm having some serious problems with my device and hope someone that knows what they're doing can help me out!

I've had the HTC Desire 816 Dual Sim (Chinese) just less than a year now. I rooted this device about 6 months ago and has served me pretty well. Last week, my device ran down to ~ 3% and I plugged it into my car whilst using Google Maps for the sat nav. The device completely drained and when trying to charge it from the wall socket back at home, the device is stuck in the fastboot menu and has been since; I can't get the device to boot.

The information on the screen is:

Concerned mostly about the "invalid ver info" sections. From the recovery menu, the device just vibrates and restarts; I can't re-install TWRP or CWM and keep getting an error when I try to.

Does anyone have any initial suggestions? It'd really help me out. Thanks in advance.

I have just managed to wipe my HTC Desire 610 so it no longer has an operating system - does anyone know where I can get the ROM/RUU or whatever for an EE network phone?

I tried flashing the EU version zip with TWRP but it didn't work....couldn't find an MD5 file or something??

1. I had to buy a sunshine one event licence to unlock the bootloader.
Verizon wont allow this device tobe unlocked at htc dev!
2. I used Windroid universal tool kit to flash recovery and root.

I had searched this forum and there's is no thread about this phone.
