Active display is different on Moto X Play?

ok so i got the Moto X 2014 ,Droid turbo and others Motorola.
the Active display works like that: when u got a notification the screen lights untill u read or dismiss the notification.
on Moto X play the phone acts in another way: lights one time ,then nothing untill u take the phone in ur hands. then the phone lights up and make u see that u got new notification.
why? why the screen doesn lights up more times like on Moto X 2014?

Different ROM for Lumia?

So I have Lumia 925 RM-910 which doesn't supports 4G networking. Also I have downloaded in my PC another ROM it's RM-892 which supports 4G LTE networking. Can I flash my Lumia 925 RM-910 with RM-892?

Please help me and explain why yes or why not. :)

[Q] Is the Note 5 wallet charger any different from the S6 Edge one?

I am using my S6 Edge wall quick charger to charge my N920C, but I have the feeling like it is taking alot more to complete compared to the Edge.

Most of all I see no quick charging sentence or symbol on the display.

Is it just an issue or I must use the Note 5 charger to complete the process quickly? :confused:

Can we downgrade from 5.1.1 to 5.1.1 but different build.

Nexus 5 Stuck on bootloop -different

Hi Im new here sorry if i post in the wrong section.
My nexus 5 was purchased the date it came out and was never tinkered with (root unlock bootloader etc). On September 15th I received a OTA security update ~20mb from google, thought it was just an regular update so I accept it. After rebooting from the OTA update my device was just stuck at those flying circles boot animation (I left it there for 6hrs)! I contact google support and did all the steps, reboot, wipe cache in recovery, factory reset in recovery, with no success. Also i was told i'm out of warranty period so they cannot do anything about it even though their update broke my device... I then decide to take my own steps and unlocked the bootloader and flash the factory images from google. However, no matter how many times i tried flashing the 5.XX images following one of the XDA guides my device is still stuck at the flying circles! Even more weird flashing older 4.X.X images worked! But all the GApps crashes while I flashed the 4.X.X images and I do not know how to fix it. Doing an OTA update from google for 5.0 while i was in kitkat will put me back to the flying circle loops again. Can anyone help me here? I just want a normal phone thats why i never root of anything...

Different Versions Of Grand Prime

I see that there are many different versions of the Grand Prime. I currently own the 4G version of the device SM-G531F. And there is no method to root this specific version. Please can some clarify the different versions of this phone. Thanks !!

2 Different Batteries

There are definately 2 different batteries in play here. I smoked mine and took a stab at ordering the higher 4050 mAh one to replace the 3900 mAh one that was found in MY L03.
I can confirm that it works without issue and was cheap. not .00 on amazon. ;). see pics the batt on the right is the stock one that I replaced.

I need help on a different way of Tethering Question

Is there a way to tether that will send people to a website when they connect.

E.g. when I connect to the cloud I get sent to a website first.
When I go to a hotel I get sent to their website first.

Ever since I've seen it in action on other ROM, I love Pie Control. The problem is that, even thought there are a few apps available to emulate the real Pie Control from Paranoid Android, none of them have an option to access it with a long press on the Home button. I tried Pie Control (from coolace on the Play Store) and LMT Launcher (from XDA) and there's no option for what I want. They can only be accessed by pressing on a customizable edge of the screen and it's clunky. Is there any other app which could give me what I want?

Different bluetooth voice?

When I was on my Galaxy Nexus, I used the Botifier app to read me Whatsapp and text messages through my car's bluetooth. When I switched to the ZenFone 2, I noticed the voice was different. It's much harder to hear, so I was wondering if I could change it to the voice I had before?

Restore nandroid to a different phone

I updated my rooted 32 gb nexus 5 to the latest 5.1.1. It was not easy and I ran into all sorts of hiccups that left me phoneless for a couple of days. 😢

My wife also has a rooted 32 gb nexus 5 and needs to upgrade. I don't want to go through all the headaches I had with mine, so, can I safely transfer my nandroid to her sdcard and just restore it on hers? Will that work? Or is there something that is unique in each nexus 5 phone and nandroid?

Problem with different ringtones setting for each SIM and contact.

Hi,
Is it possible to set different ringtone for each SIM? I can not set it in any way. I found 2 apps in Play store named DualSim Ringtone, but both of them are not working - two sims ring the same as 2nd sim slot is set.
Also it is impossible to set different ringtone to separate contacts - there is no option "Set ringtone" in my phone as it is described in this article:

I tried settings with stock Rom 06.29 and now 08.07, not rooted.

Same device, different CM - will it mesh?

Hi, I was just wondering about something.

I have a Galaxy Note 3 Neo (The Korean Variant, SM-N750K, frescoltektt) Recently, someone managed to port Cyanogenmod 12 to this device. The source code for the kernel is located here:

Now, you might think "Wait, that's frescolteskt, not frescoltektt!" Don't worry, it's compatible.

The problem is, I hate CM12. I wish for CM11 and want to port it myself. I looked over the repositories, but that is the only repository I could find related to that device.
If I put CM12's device tree in the CM11 build system, will it work?

So, above, I told you I found the android_kernel for frescolteskt. I thought you needed the vendor and the device source as well to completely build the Cyanogenmod. Am I missing something?

Why is there different dialer icons?

Hey guys, I just got my new Note 5 and now I am confused about the icons in the dialer. I thought the Note 5 had the round send button and different button to the left. I thought I had the new icons when I first powered on the phone as well but didn't pay that close of attention to it. I checked out the theme store and installed the material dark theme. I removed it and that is when I noticed the icons didn't look like what I was expecting as shown in the attachment. I even did a factory reset and still did not get the round icon back. Looking at video reviews of the Note 5, I see some have the round icon and others have the same as what my attachment shows. Am I missing something here? Is there a way to get the round icon and the voicemail icon next to it?

Is there a good theme with a different menu icon?

I hate how the menu/all apps icon looks on the 5.0.2 update of my xperia z1. Even though you can find it, i don't wanna use the lollipop icon either.

So is there a theme with a different, nice all apps icon? I also want it to look good and not change my navbar.

I bought a note 3 n9005 european sim model

-from settings my phone reads different IMEI than the one written on the phone under the battery.

-The network goes down to emergency call only but never asked me for unlock PIN

-someone installed for me android 4.4.2 that deleted all options like air gestures and all other Samsung stuffs

- I wanted to return the phone to stock settings, firmware and unlock it.

-knox already tripped
