Is Lollipop any better than KitKat on our phone?

I'm happy enough with Kitkat/CM11 functionality, however seems support is dieing, unofficial builds only, last stable release wasn't even built for our device, etc etc.

So I'm wondering if I should make the move to Lollipop/CM12.1. I read the main thread, seems to be lots of little connectivity issues and earlier discussions about bad responsivity, etc, but not much activity lately.

Basically I'm wondering if the main bugs are worked out, and if so, how does it run compared to KitKat on our phone; is there any reason to update, or will it just make my phone slower with no real advantage?

Sprint LG G Stylo worse than bricked

I was messing around with the 3c Toolbox and, like an idiot, I skipped a backup step before trying to unlock the SD card (or something, I don't remember and there's no way to check [read on]).

I lost access to my SD card and couldn't find the file that I was supposed to rename to regain access (which is why I think I skipped a step), so I thought that maybe I could factory reset my phone and it would fix the problem.

Now not only can I not access ANY SD card I put in my phone, it also doesn't recognize the "internal SD card", the Google Play Store won't open, and it keeps saying there's not enough memory or "no SD card" to download any APKs from the internet.

Am I going to have to send in my phone and get it replaced? Or is there a way to fix this problem without being able to download anything onto my phone or SD card directly or over USB?

why whatsapp can't send video file more than 9 MB?

I have Huawei Honor 4C and Huawei G610, i can receive video files through Whatsapp upto 16MB but can't send file size more than 9 MB :( ....
can somebody help me to overcome this problem as Whatsapp limit is 16MB.

HTC M9 camera better than Sony Xperia S?

I heard that the HTC M9 camera isn't very good.
My sister want to upgrade from Sony Xperia S to the M9.
Had someone the SXS before and can tell me if the m9 camera is better than the SXS or even worse?
I mean, HTC M9 has a 20 mp camera yes, but Sony smartphones always have good cameras.

Are expensive branded cases really better than generic ones?

I'm currently waiting for my Moto X (2nd gen...) to arrive and searching for a case & screen protector.

I live in Israel and so prices are higher than in the US if I include shipping and so on. For example the Supcase bumper case which I assume will be best for me costs about 33$.
I've also checked Chinese sites like Ali Express and I can find all kind of cases for 1$-5$ and shipping is free. I'm wondering if there's any significant difference between those higher-priced branded cases to and generic ones in terms of protection. My current Moto G has a Trident Aegis case which is great but also pretty expensive - I'm wondering if I should again invest in a such a case (though not so bulky as this one) or I can go with one for 4$-5$ and get pretty good protection.

I WON'T compromise on protection but if I can get it for less money it's of course better.

Puzzled by 4.7 speakers being way louder than 5.5. Anyone?

So I stumbled upon this (Russian) video today, in which the reviewer compares the 4.7 and 5.5 speakers. To my surprise the 4.7 speakers sound way louder and possibly better. To me this doesn't make sense and leads me to believe something isn't right with the 5.5.

Did any of you compare both the devices speakers and what were the results?

I bought a note 3 n9005 european sim model

-from settings my phone reads different IMEI than the one written on the phone under the battery.

-The network goes down to emergency call only but never asked me for unlock PIN

-someone installed for me android 4.4.2 that deleted all options like air gestures and all other Samsung stuffs

- I wanted to return the phone to stock settings, firmware and unlock it.

-knox already tripped

Does Sprint XT1526 Have Different Hardware than Verizon XT1528?

Basically what I want to know is if I can unlock the bootloader of the Sprint XT1526 and flash Verizon firmware to it so that the phone will work on Verizon. If the hardware is the same it should work but of course, I don't know if the hardware is the same. Specifically, I want the LTE bands for Verizon to be enabled.

Does custom roms on sense 7 are better than stock lollipop?

Hi guys, i am currently running stock rooted 4.4.3 on my htc m8. i already tried stock 5.0.1 twice but after a few days it starts getting slower and battery seems to be worse than kitkat. i tried stock gpe 5.1, it had good performance but sense for me is better than pure android. also i tried some sense 7 roms when they were released like skydragon and arhd. both had a few bugs and was not as fast as kitkat.
when i downgrade to kitkat i immediately feel the speed back, and notice that the battery lasts much longer.
what i want to know is how well custom roms are improved in lollipop and if they are better than kitkat.
or there is no lollipop rom that is better than kitkat? is there a bugfree sense 7 rom that is better than kitkat and is like stock?

[Q] Huawei App Manager has more updates than Google Play Store

By chance I ran the Huawei App Manager and it showed me a lot of updates for Apps I installed with Google Play but Google Play does not show these updates?

How can that be?
