[BUG] Phone and Laptop on same wifi. Still says remote connection mode.

I have tried everything I could. Even turned off my firewall and accepted all incoming connections but nothing. The app refuses to acknowledge that it is on the same wifi and it always defaults to remote connection mode.
I have:
- An LG nexus 4, android 5.1
- Asus U576E running ubuntu. I'm using web.airdoid.com to connect

Please help!

I'v had this big trouble with my second lg g2 for now.

Lets start from the beggining.

Did a update, went well, after that lost imei, sv etc. Even worse, Lost recovery mode, download mode and also had that qualcom 9008 ??? error. Now, and also i got that screen glitch, where everything is randomised where you click. Funny, that i had all the 4 or 5 issues what people had problems with.

Now, what i have done to fix it.

1)Tried flashing roms, stock, cloudy etc.
2)Tried to recover imei, sv etc.
3)Changed the mobo.(Bought a d802 for parts)
4)Changed the display.
5)Tried the sv and imei recovery.
6)Tried LG various flashing methods as tot. and kdz + even some zip roms.

Now i'v been reading about all the fixed what are around in the community, such as maybe the lg g2 isnt really a d802 version, it is, i took it apart changed the parts, just in case etc. I tried also flashing other types of roms, like d801, d800, d803, so i got the answer for that, it is legit d802 16gb.

Where am i at now ?
Well, i got sv and imei back, everything is working except the screen. It is still playing tricks. Also pc detects it, everything is fine.

So what am i asking now ?

What should i do ? I tried every method for now, i mean really, all the methods you can find out at the internet.

What is my point ?
No it isn't about that i really need the phone, i just want the answer, what could be wrong now. So in the future i could help someone out with same issue.

Now, if someone asks, how i got it to work to there.

Flashed img files, i think the mobo replacement fixed something, and also got confirmed it isn't about the hardware(i actually have 3 lg g2's 2x 32gb and 1x 16gb as a secondary). Sideloaded some firmware files etc.
Just did all the guides what you can found at the internet.

Still Cant Odin TWRP

Everytime I Download TWRP thru IE or Chrome Or Mozilla it downloads as IMG

Nexus 6 - still worth it?

Android - I'm coming home! Now to find a phone.

Been looking at the Nexus 6 pretty hard. I don't want LG, and I refuse to pay premium prices for a Haiwei crash-o-matic piece of junk.

Spent some time at Best Buy today fondling a Nexus 6 - love the screen, love the feel, love the speed.

So, nearly a year after it's release, is it still worth it? Thinking about doing another 2 year with AT&T, which would make it 9, or 9 outright through Best Buy.

TWRP flashed, but still using android system recovery?

I'm trying to install TWRP on my Galaxy S6 (920F) running android 5.1.1

When I start up in recovery I see the android icon, after that I get a menu that looks very different than what TWRP should look like (saw some vids on youtube) and there is no option to flash the kernel..
The top says it's Android system recovery 3e, so I'm assuming the TWRP wasn't flashed..

I'm really confused, flashing my old galaxy s3 and rooting it was quite easy but Samsung really ****ed it up this time :eek:

Does anyone have a good tutorial for this? There is tons of tutorials but most of them are outdated, for the edge version or for some stupid branded US carrier phone.

Which resulted in a boot loop, so I did the CF auto root as suggested. Now my phone wont work at all. It's stuck on the Samsung Galaxy S6 powered by android screen.

I have S6 Edge 32 GB. Someday when phone are charging i see logo Samsung on over and over. Its' bootloop. Phone will be not works. Download mode and recovery mode working but full wipe doesnt help. I try flash oryginally soft by Kies. Its the same phone are bootlooping. Its the same when i flash phone by smart swich. What can i do?. My phone will be 100% stock.

Z3+ Still Overheating Post Update

Hi all,

I've just picked a Z3+ and was hoping the update had resolved the heat issues. Sadly not.

The phone is always hot, not warm, hot. I've got nothing running in the background and even just using text, maps or music is causing extreme heat problems. In the camera, same thing. I don't care about the AR Mask, but I don't to use the standard camera for more than 5 pictures at a time. The 4K video works, but the heat is ridiculous. How Sony let this release is beyond me.

Anyway, to the point. Is there something I can do to reduce the heat? I don't want to root or install another ROM really. Ideally I would like it swapped out if this is not an issue for other Z3+ users.

Has anyone continued to have issues after the update to 28.0.A.8.251?

Nexus 6 - Google worst phone is still a really good phone

I think we can all agree that with the build quality issues, backs bubbling, yellow/pink screens, this will probably go down as the worst phone that google has made. It also was not well received for its size.

Keeping all that in mind... the Nexus 6 (moto) is still a great phone. It's fast, good battery life, no heavy flaws other than those have as preferences in their devices (no stylus, ect). It's versatile, not hard to tear down and replace things in,, dual front speakers and with a few software tweaks battery life goes from good to great, screen colors get better and with a ROM all the features people want can be added. It was also cheaper than every other flagship except the G3 when it came out.

I know there are peopel out there have have reason that maybe teh device they got in hand had some issues. but I personally have gone though 5 Nexus 6 and i never regretted it, i just stupidly sold it to buy another phone I wanted but never found to be quite as good.

1. 32GB MB - Purchased through Moto, RMA'd for uneven screen color.
2. Sold to buy a 64GB CW
3. Sold to buy a Moto X 2014 and Nexus 7
4. 64GB CW - bought after selling Moto X and 7in tablet
Sold that X to get a Galaxy S6
5. Sold S6 to buy 32GB MB
6. 32GB CW, the 32GB MB now sits in my drawer.


Yes I have an addition.

After going though all these phones I have found only 2 things that I wish were different in the Nexus 6.

1. I wish it had a Moto Maker like system. Picking a different back color for it would have been really nice. Even if just limited to the 4 Nexus colors plus Black and White. I'd likely buy Red.
2. I wish the camera was better. If they released the EXACT same Nexus 6 next year, but with the camera abilities of the S6 I'd still buy a new one.

2015 HTC One X root is still possible?

Hello! So I want to root my HTC One X. And every single guide I've looked through doesn't work anymore, either because the necessary files or toolkits have been removed, or they're outdated or they don't exist anymore. So Im wondering is it possible in this day to even root your HTC One X? If so what do I need, and where can I get it?

When this device was launched it was my dream device, but that's more than a year ago. I've been running with the XZU for some time, and am seriously considering making the jump to the Z3TC. As far as I can tell, there's no stronger actor in the same segment in today's market when I consider manufacturer, software, guarantees etc - even the dev scene has some small manner of activity.

After seeing that there was no Z5 Ultra at IFA, I think I need to get this device - but I'd like to hear from users and others if there's any reason not to get it at this point (q3 2015)?

I'll be using this as my main driver, meaning also as a phone. I know the latest Huawei MediaPad can do some of what this tab can, and I'm hearing the nes Sammy tab can make phones too. But Sony's waterproofing and form factor has got me hooked, what say you xda?

"Security policy updates" still appears after freezing

I am still getting these even after freezing everything I can see related to Knox. Ideas?

Lost mobile data with an exclamation mark, I can still make calls.

I have had my Nexus 6 for 3 days and first installed my Straight Talk SIM yesterday. Everything worked fine for less than a day then I started getting MMS picture messages failing. Now I get no mobile data. I swapped my SIM with my wifes, also on straight talk and mine with hers and I get the same issue and mine works fine in her phone.

I have rebooted many times, I have checked my APN settings and even have tried alternatives.

I have done a few searches and see other have this or very similar issues but I have not found anything that fixes my issue.

I am running Pure Nexus with the stock kernel.

If you update to OF2/OF3 can you still re-root the device?

I am thinking of getting an S 5 and I want to know if I root on a lower bootloader version and then update my bootloader can I still re-root on the higher version incase I lose root?
