Hey guys, so can somebody put a full tutorial on how to update to rooted Android 5.1.1 on your ROOTED Xperia Z2 on 5.0.2 lollipop also without losing any data :)

Huawei Honor 4x first time root without losing stock ROM and current config / apps

Hi.
I have requested my unlock code for the bootloader from Huawei.
When I unlock my boot loader using ADB will this cause the phone to reset to factory default or will it retain my existing configuration?
I am quite happy with the phone as it is but I would like to be able to install some of my root apps such as Titanium Backup, Juice Defender etc
Is this possible to do without breaking the existing ROM and my current configuration?
I dont want to load a custom ROM and lose my current factory stable setup.

Losing Sensors on my Nexus 7

I'm losing data from several sensors after a while and I don't know, I use stock ROM with the boot-ts10 patch for the touch screen. I did a factory reset and installed everything new. Most current ROM LMY48M. A reboot of the devices fixes the issue for the time being.

It is very annoying, especially when the accelerometer shuts down for no visible reason. In my logcat I could find this:

DRM keys, worth losing or not?

This post over at the recovery/kernel dev thread seems to suggest that locked bootloader root and recovery might actually be impossible to achieve on the Z3+, so I've started to consider unlocking, having previously been adamant about not doing it. Losing the DRM keys is what prevents me, though.

Does anyone have a full list of lost features that go with the keys? I'm aware of some camera stuff, the Bravia engine, and noise cancellation.

Also, some users have reported at least partial restoration of DRM functions (not keys!) on previous Z devices, is that/will that be possible on the 3+?

LG G2 Losing Signal in Some Areas

My phone (LG G2) has an issue with its reception in some areas. I will be receiving 4G in some areas (Home/ Work) but sometimes I will be at the shops and my signal will go from 4G to a G symbol and I will not be able to recieve and MMS or browse the internet. In some cases I can change my settings from LTE/GSM/WCDMA to LTE Only mode and I will receive 4G again but most of the time it will not work.

What I have tried;

Instal Custom Rom
Flash new baseband/ Radio
Unplug and Replug the Antenna Flex Cable

None of these made a difference.

I have a Feeling that it is a Hardware issue. Is their anyway to Diagnose the hardware? If I needed to replace a part of the phone hardware what would it be?

Samsung S4 constantly losing connection, but still shows connected.

My girlfriend's AT&T S4 loses connection, but still shows it connected. So you never know you don't have a connection until you reboot the phone and find that you have missed 2 phone calls, 3 emails, and 15 texts. This happened with the stock Rom. I've tried a couple of different roms, but still the same outcome. I'm thinking I should have to switch to a different modem, but I'm not sure which one to use. Am I wrong and is there another solution? I'm looking for something that will work so I don't have to mess with it again. If anyone has experienced this connection loss and found a solution, please let me know what to do to fix this phone.

I have a rooted N4 running 5.1.1. I recently recieved an update (it doesn't say what version, but it's only 20 megs so i assume it's a minor update)

The question is if i would lose my root by updating my device? And how can i update without losing my root?

Update to M without losing data?

I'm on Resurrection Remix with TWRP, root, and an unlocked bootloader. I've finally got this phone setup exactly the way I want it. Is there any way to update to M without losing my data/settings/apps?
