Edge panel during phone call

So I downgraded form Lollipop to Kitkat on T-mobile Edge.
But i really liked the in-call swipes features of the edge panel in Lollipop. In kitkat, the edge panel buttons activate by touch, making my calls prone to accidental mutes and speaker activation.

Any way to circumvent this or port this feature from lollipop ?

Enable 25 quick panel toggles (root)

Here simple tool to activate 25 quick panel toggles.
Requires rooted device.
Should work on any N5 tw rom.
Application itself have info about how to restore original toggles. As well also have screenshot about what exact 25 toggles will get activated. Read carefully info before using it.

Installation
1.Install attached Toggles XDA n5 1.0.apk as regular apk.
2.read info carefully
3.select enable 25 toggles
4.done

PS : This is special xda version but may be later Pro version available with one extra facility to enable only selective toggles with facility to select number of toggles to scroll.

Question: The black panel of Note 5

I have seen that Note 5 includes a feature that brings a black screen to write on it right when the Spen is taken. I would like to know (first) the name of this feature if it has any, and if there is any port of it to Note 4. Do you know anything about it?

How to disable the stock notification panel?

I want to disable the stock notification panel on my s3 mini, 4.1.2 rooted. Instead of it, I'd like to use a 3rd party app, which suits better my needs.

I've read something here on xda about editing the "tw_status_bar_expanded.xml" file within the SystemUI.apk (that thread was discontinued/closed) but I don't now what editor should I use to do this (I've tried two but without success - the error was something like "could not edit a binary file"). Does someone know how to do this? Or there is a simpler method to disable the notification panel?

Back panel not removable... any thoughts to install a magnet plate?

Hello, folks.

I've been a big fan of magnet car dock since Nexus 5 had magnets on its back. As I've been using LG G3, OnePlus One, and Note 4 (N910T and N910S), I attached magnet on its battery (or back) cover to use my phones with the magnet dock. Unfortunately, it seems there would be no way to remove back panel for Moto X Pure Edition unless teardown major components.

Would there be any ideas or thoughts where should I attach a magnet plate? (I don't usually put my phone into any sort of protective cases.)

Need S5 case which replaces the back panel

I need Galaxy S5 case which replaces the back panel (to save weight and size) and also provides impact protection and water proofing. Is there any such case? Otterbox and other cases like those simply snap on the phone without removing the back panel.

This is a custom class (extending ImageView) I made that will enable you to add a background/wallpaper to the notification panel, without effecting the lockscreen. If you use this (or any derivative thereof) in any release, please give proper credit and shoot me a link to the release...

How To Use

• Download the linked zip file.


• Decompile your SystemUI.apk.


• Extract the zip file, and copy the entire "morningstar" folder to /smali/com/android in your decompiled apk.


• Place your background image into the appropriate drawable folder.


• Open /res/layout/status_bar_expanded.xml, and immediately following the line with the namespace declarations, add the following:

How to add mobile data in quick settings panel

I have N910P 5.1.1 rooted stock rom and i want to add mobile data toggle in quick settings panel "Notification Panel"
i know that .
what i want to do is in SystemUI.apk.
deodex the SystemUI.apk after that what i shout to do.
I search in all forums i can,t find any thing.
plaezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz help me.

Samsung S3: Notification panel opens on quick setting instead of notifcation

Hi!

Until I installed StickMount. when I opened the Samsung notification panel, it opened on the notification panel (not the quick setting one). So I had this panel (sorry can't have link yet)

After installing StickMount, when I open the notification panel, it opens on the quick setting panel so I have to click on the dots-lines icon (top right) to get back to the notification panel.


This is really annoying. I did restart the phone, pull the battery, uninstall StickMount, restart, pull the battery, set the launcher back to Touchwiz and back to Nova but still, my notification panel open on the quick setting panel. When I am on a lock screen, the pable also opens on the quick settings one, not on the notifications one.

So i come to you: DO you have any idea how I can get the notification panel to open on the notification panel, not on the quick settings one?

My phone: Samsung Galaxy SIII 4G GT-i9305, Android 4.4.4, rooted Nova launcher (StickMount is uninstalled)

Enable all quick panel toggles!

Our note 5 came with very few quick panel toggles, but there is an easy way to fix that must've you guys probably already know
You have to have root!
1.download sqlite editor
2.open the app
3.go to files- data/data/com.android.providers.settings.
Touch this then touch system then databases then settings.db
4.scroll until you see "notification panel active app list"
5. And long press and touch edit record or hit the pencil icon
6. Pay attention to capital letters and punctuation..
7.edit it to look like this

Bug volume panel

Has anyone else had this? I've flashed the latest OH2 fw with Odin and made a clean install with factory reset. I have the exact same mods as in previous fw. Just want to know is there's a fix before I try a new reset.
