After having problems with a 32gb sd card months ago, where I'd intermittently get the message 'sd card safe to remove', I copied all the data over to a new 128gb SD card and its been fine the past few months.
However, as of this week I got the message again and now it boots up and displays that message. If I try to mount it, it acts as though no card is present.
However, the card is fully accessible in Windows....
Has anyone encountered this problem? I have Unlocked my Sony Z3 Dual D6633 and rooted successfully, once I unlocked it, the camera stopped working, just show black, even the front camera Have tried other apps, like Google camera but still the same
I understand that losing the DRM key could affect the camera quality but, it;s now totally broken :(
Since android 5.1.1 released and I started to customize it(using WanamLite v3.0). It's usual, that roms being debloated etc, but still sometimes newly installed apps make battery drain faster and as for me, I still use apps like facebook, FB messenger etc. So I found a better solution to speed up phone, keep ram free as much as possible and safe battery.
So, it's quite easy actually(but I wasted a lot time to configure it normally without any system conflicts).
So solution is to download app from play market https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...disableservice . You should run it and grant root permission. Next you can either configure it manually wasting a lot of time, or an easier solution is to use app's "restore" and set my config. That's all. Enjoy. Will be good to reboot phone. You need to place backup file to location showed on screenshot. Config deactivates all analitics services, tracking, automated bug reports, memory dumps, etc. No critical or needed services modified, only garbage taken down. You can open that backup file(it's plain text) to see affected services.
So, enjoy. Hope someone will find it usefull. Greenify is also welcomed to use to make phone faster and suspend pointless background apps.
My N5 no longer charges with the USB port. It gets a very small amperage (10-20 mA when testing using Ampere), but the battery essentially runs down at the normal rate overnight when I normally charge it. I have several wireless chargers that work, so I'm still able to use the phone, but I'd like the charger to actually work. Ampere does show that the charger is continually disconnecting/reconnecting. I've tried multiple chargers and multiple micro USB cords and the problem persists, so I'm fairly confident the problem is the USB port on the phone.
I contacted Google Store support since I've never received a replacement and I've heard that they give out 1 free replacement, but I was told it's out of warranty and they couldn't help me. I contacted LG support and they said that they can probably fix it but there will be a charge that they can't quote to me until they've already received it.
I'm planning to get the new N5 whenever it comes out so I don't want to spend too much money fixing this, but any suggestions?
I flashed 5.1 and it's kind of OK (although a few app stopped errors happen) but the home button only works from the task switcher screen. It doesn't work from any app. Tried with Launcher, tried with Nova Launcher. Also, setting Home in Nova Launcher to an app doesn't launch that app. Something eats my home clicks. But what? I do not use a custom keyboard.
They were present when I connected my phone to laptop and copied some files. There was an empty folder named /storage/emulated/0 inside the original /storage/emulated/0 directory.
As it was empty, I tried deleting it but it was taking a long time so I cancelled the process.
After I disconnected my device, while on ES File Explorer, I discovered that majority of my files weren't showing up. I selected all the files which are displayed and saw their size, a mere 20MB, and the Homepage on ES File Explorer shows usage to be 2.35GB/12.80GB.
Is it some sort of virus that created a seemingly empty folder inside the actual directory? And what about the files that were showing up previously alongside the folder? I believe that I may have deleted my files when I tried deleting that folder. And why would that folder seem to be empty? Please help me out here! :( :(
So, this sounds simple; but I guarantee you it is not.
I just got my Note5 about 2 weeks ago; and despite some missing key features, I really like it. Until today. Carrier: Sprint (who apparently doesn't have 24/7 customer service)
My fingers were a little dirty (which they have been before) and my scanner wouldn't unlock the phone. Cleaned them and now it's already locked and seems to not really check the prints anymore?
First attempted fix: backup password, I know I set it up...but it doesn't work. None of the passwords I might use will work.
Second attempted fix: Google signin, I have a free google apps account and apparently using my whole email address as username doesn't work on this; also tried just using the plain username just in case. I know the password is correct. I'm the domain administrator.
Third attempted fix: Android device manager, tried setting a new password on the lock screen and was greeted by the infuriating message "Since google has verified that your screen is already locked, the password you set won't be needed"
Fourth attempted fix: chat with samsung support, which was utterly useless. Although I did find out that samsung has their own unlock utility...except that it has to be setup beforehand.
Fifth attempted fix: bang head on cement...hasn't shown any signs of working yet. Although I feel less frustrated.......and less conscious.
Theories: free version of Google Apps, sucks (the apps themselves are great)...I've had tons of trouble getting signed into certain google features over the years. Also I have no option for a support PIN to use to contact google support. I think that my latest OTA update may have somehow changed or reset my backup password. The last theory is whomever changed Android device manager to not reset lockscreen passwords whenever you want to...basically made that tool half as useful as it should be and completely useless to me.
Anyone have any other ideas, that don't involve a full wipe?
It appears Verizon rolled out a silent update disabling FoxFi. I paid for this app and have been using it for several months without issue. Does anyone have a solution to this issue? See the most recent FoxFi Play Store reviews for more accounts of the issue.
