I have been happily using my phone on stock 4.4.2 EUR for last 8 months. This morning I woke up to find my phone constantly rebooting as soon as I enter the SIM pin and it lock on to a cellular signal. After a lot of trial and error, I have found that if I immediately switch to airplane mode before entering SIM pin and then switch off auto-sync the phone, and then turn my mobile signal and data back on (by turning off airplane mode) the phone is fine.
As soon as I turn on auto-sync it goes into loop mode again. For the time being I am keeping sync off, but has anyone else experienced this suddenly?
Makes me think it is connected with some automatic update that Google sent to my phone overnight for their Play services or such.
Hello everyone. I need help! I had 4.4.4 KK, then I converted to GPE and then flashed the 5.1 Lollipop 2-3 months ago.
Yesterday I got a notification about an update (7.6 mb), I headed on and installed it and after the installation my phone did not reach the lock screen, it just stuck at the animation and never stopped. Please, tell me what to do! I am so meesed up, I don`t know what to do. Thank you.
my Engilish is not good. i have i9505 galaxy S4 from Germany . and i make full update . and have baseband i9505XXUHOH2 . and i make full restore. and look the picture this is normal ? 16GB ROM and 6.73gb rom only the system memory? and i have only 8-9gb free..
Since android 5.1.1 released and I started to customize it(using WanamLite v3.0). It's usual, that roms being debloated etc, but still sometimes newly installed apps make battery drain faster and as for me, I still use apps like facebook, FB messenger etc. So I found a better solution to speed up phone, keep ram free as much as possible and safe battery.
So, it's quite easy actually(but I wasted a lot time to configure it normally without any system conflicts).
So solution is to download app from play market https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...disableservice . You should run it and grant root permission. Next you can either configure it manually wasting a lot of time, or an easier solution is to use app's "restore" and set my config. That's all. Enjoy. Will be good to reboot phone. You need to place backup file to location showed on screenshot. Config deactivates all analitics services, tracking, automated bug reports, memory dumps, etc. No critical or needed services modified, only garbage taken down. You can open that backup file(it's plain text) to see affected services.
So, enjoy. Hope someone will find it usefull. Greenify is also welcomed to use to make phone faster and suspend pointless background apps.
Hi! Im Pierre Benayoun and Im an French indie Dev. I work on Activity tracking on android since more than one year.
I work since February on an android app named « Fit Plus« . The purpose is to use all data collected by Google Fit to give specific nice data and analysis like « You broke your walking record, congrats! ».
There was a prototype online, but I worked on a new version which could give more interesting data since end of March. Initially the update should take one week. But finishing this version takes lot more time than I thought.
At last, I uploaded the new version last week four month later.
And now?
So here is a post about that four months and the challenges I have to overcome.
This post is made from a post on Medium but I cannot yet make any external link so I will make a comment by challenge. Any feedback appreciated!
When you start a journey to the unknown, dont expect be back for lunchtime
Lets resume the facts
I work since the beginning of 2014 on Activity Tracking on Android
Early 2015 I decide to play why Google fit API. This little software let you and your app get (and play) with data monitor by Google Fit.
First step: Fit Plus a little app which display all activities monitored by Google Fit and some statistics.
At the end of march I finalised a little prototype and I expect to deliver an upgrade the week after. Finally, the update will be ready at the end of July: four months later.
So whyyyy ?
First of all a startup/indie app is a project where unknown is the rule. The Lean Startup method exists (amongst other things) for this reason. You cannot control your agenda and here are Six challenges I had to overcome that explains this four month delay.
Some developers prefer that questions remain separate from their main development thread to help keep things organized. Placing your question within this thread will increase its chances of being answered by a member of the community or by the developer.
Before posting, please use the forum search and read through the discussion thread for [ROM] Stockrom UTLG1 Deodex (Last brazilian version). If you can't find an answer, post it here, being sure to give as much information as possible (firmware version, steps to reproduce, logcat if available) so that you can get help.
Thanks for understanding and for helping to keep XDA neat and tidy! :)
New to the forums (and to Android for the most part) with my first non-classmade app. I made a soundboard for the game The Last of Us. Trying to get some android exposure for resume building and to continue development for apps. Link for the app. You can just search for southardsoftware to find the app (it won't let me post yet). Sorry I am a complete newb to the forum here.
What it does - pretty obvious for the most part - a user can set a ringtone, notification, or alarm to the various quotes from the game I included in the app, or just play them. I did it as a project inbetween classes to learn more about android, and pay homage to one of my favorite video games of all time. Please feel free to let me know what you think!
