My N5 no longer charges with the USB port. It gets a very small amperage (10-20 mA when testing using Ampere), but the battery essentially runs down at the normal rate overnight when I normally charge it. I have several wireless chargers that work, so I'm still able to use the phone, but I'd like the charger to actually work. Ampere does show that the charger is continually disconnecting/reconnecting. I've tried multiple chargers and multiple micro USB cords and the problem persists, so I'm fairly confident the problem is the USB port on the phone.
I contacted Google Store support since I've never received a replacement and I've heard that they give out 1 free replacement, but I was told it's out of warranty and they couldn't help me. I contacted LG support and they said that they can probably fix it but there will be a charge that they can't quote to me until they've already received it.
I'm planning to get the new N5 whenever it comes out so I don't want to spend too much money fixing this, but any suggestions?
