twrp unable to mount cache

i found out this issue a few mins ago. i have a n900t note 3 rooted and i was installing xnote 21 rom when the com.android.phone stopped workin when i went to dial a number. it dialed it and i heard them speaking but the pop up kept coming up and no one could hear me and i couldnt press anything. so i go online and ive been lookin up some fixes (factory reset or flashable fixes) and its not working . this led me to find out that the cache in twrp wasnt mounted and it cant be mounted ... neither was the system.... any help? please? i start a new job tomorrow and i need this phone

Rooted Z2, Unable to mount /system RW

I have a weird problem that I can't figure out....

I installed the rooted 5.1.1 from this thread, http://forum.xda-developers.com/xper...1219?nocache=1, to a rooted Z2.

Root checker shows as rooted...SuperSU and Busybox up to date, can get to # in terminal emulator. I have tried ES File Explorer, Root Explorer and Terminal emulator, and all fail. The only error message I get is from Terminal emulator which is mount: Operation not permitted.

Any ideas what might be wrong?

mount cifs possible?

hello,

recent refugee from iOS, so very new to Android.

I have a Nexus 7 2013 with CM 12.1 and Elemental X 4.03-cm kernel loaded. I think this version supports cifs module.

is mounting a cifs share possible still and how do I go about that?

Native USB storage mount?

Thoughts on whether or not it'll happen? Although given the Nexus 6P will probably have the USB type-C port, we'd need all-new OTG cables to even take advantage of it...

Is there any tested method to mount Ext4 or NTFS partitions on Android 64 bits v5.1?

After long days trying to implement some filesystem that allows more than 4GB file size on my Jiayu S3 with a Xtreme ROM (not ROM stock, but still Jiayu official MOD) based on Android v5.1 64 bits, I have concluded that maybe, as for today (September 2015) there is no way to achieve this.

So, please, could someone successful on mounting NTFS or EXT4 (preferred) with a 64 bits Android version tell me how he did it?

I tried multiple tutorials (some from XDA) and apps, but they all fail.

Can't mount /system, Odin doesn't recognize phone

Hope you guys can help me, I ran outta ideas. Here's my problem: I was on a cm12s based rom, downloaded latest SlimRom and when I was installing (using twrp recovery) it gave me an error: "Unable to mount /system". I read some stuff on different websites and ended up trying with another rom and other Recovery's (philz and cwm) but none of that helped. After that I downloaded stock rom to install via Odin but Odin doesn't recognize my phone, I installed Samsung USB drivers, installed kies, tried with different usb cables, tried with different computers but Odin simply doesn't recognize it, now my phone is stuck at download mode since I don't have os installed, is there any way to fix unable to mount system problem? Or to make Odin recognize my phone? I would really appreciate your help.

Really bad morning.

Woke up to find my OPO (was running COS 12.1 with TWRP), which I had plugged in to charge overnight, was stuck on an android screen which said please enter your password. I entered my Google account password and then the next screen says, decryption unsuccessful. "Your password is correct but your data is corrupted. You need to factory reset your device and once you reboot you will have an opportunity to get data backed up with your Google account".

I tried to reboot, just to make sure, and the same set of screens reappeared.

I tried to boot into recovery. The 'teawin' screen kept flashing to no avail.

Entered fastboot. Flashed recovery, TWRP-2.8.7.0-bacon.

Tried to factory reset but the prompt flashed an error as follows:

'E: Could not mount /data and unable to find crypto footer' and then a serious of others, but " could not mount '/data' " was repeated over and over

I'm still stuck here. How to get out of this situation?

PS: When I try to look at the mount options in recovery, the internal storage is labelled as 0 MB. This is scary.

Cannot mount system partition.

My n6 can't mount system partition so i can not change system file permission even i am on rooted rom. I am using chrome sep 1 build and 2.8.7.1 twrp. Any idea please?

Unable to mount partitions after flashing TWRP on Nexus 7 (2013, WiFi, flo)

I just bought this device a week and I haven't even rooted I wanted to install Cyanogenmode and follow through the instructions and flashed TWRP through fastboot commands from Windows7 using Minimal ADB and Fastboot [8-28-15].
I got the TWRP recovery but I am not sure what have I done wrong, when I am in the TWRP recovery, it does not show any partitions so I am unable to install any ROM on it.

I have also tried to use this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexu...overy-t3064562 when I flash the given recovery from fastboot commands from this thread, the recovery get stuck with bootloop. So then I restored it back to the original TWRP 2.8.7.0.

So at this point now I can only access bootloader and the recovery which does not show partitions.
At this point Is it possible for me to go back to the stock ROM somehow? Please advice. Otherwise I might be able to return it because I have only bought it few days ago.

Soft break, /cache mount problem with locked bootloader

I breaked my Nexus 5 by restarting it while clearing the cache. I cannot use `fastboot flash cache` since I have locked bootloader using BootUnlocker. I have CM12.1 with CM recovery installed. Is there any way to unlock the bootloader using CM recovery or fix the cache partition without oem unlock?

Car mount

I use the Kenu Airframe, but I find that because the G3 has buttons on the middle of the sides the phone cannot be positioned correctly. Any other ideas?

multirom doesn't mount the sdcard and external sdcard

unable to mount /data htc on desire 510 sprint

Hello, everyone ive been stuck for a few hours trying to get this mounted to /data in twrp. i accidently formatted the data and now my internal storage is at 0mb and whenever it tries to to use .data it is unable to....i would like some help and suggestions please and thank you

I see this annoying error whenever i am in TWRP. I thought I had it resolved when I flashed the stock ROM then flashed my current run CM-12.1-20150902-NIGHTLY-shamu obtained from Cyanogens website.

Then today I let it run the latest OTA and forgot I would lose root. So I attempted to root again only get get stuck at the boot screen. I eventually did a dirty flash of the same CM 12.1 and now I am back to normal and I was able to root again. But I still get the error E: Unable to mount storage.

Also, I am now also unable to see my Nexus in Windows to explore Internal Storage but was able to before I tried rooting.

Tweak to mount as USB Mass storage device / card reader?

Does anyone know any tweaks to mount their LG G4 as a Mass storage device ie turn into usb stick? (not MTP)

I did a xda search tried a motorola hack which unsurprisingly didn't work. Maybe someone smarter than me has already done it THANKS!

USB Mass Storage locations to mount?

I'm working on a tablet for a friend, running Android 4.1.1, just got it rooted, Link2SD running, SD card properly partitioned. Everything is good... except before installing Link2SD and partitioning the card, when I would connect the tablet to my PC by USB, and turn on USB Storage on the tablet, my PC would mount the tablet's internal storage from /mnt/sdcard and the tablet's micro SD from /storage/sdcard0 ... now that I'm using Link2SD when I enable USB Storage, it mounts /storage/sdcard0 and the ext2 partition of the micro SD card created for Link2SD. Any idea why this is and how to correct it? I'm hoping there's a system setting somewhere that I can list which locations to share when turning on USB Storage mode on the tablet.

[Q] Can't mount SD card both in Android & TWRP, MTP driver doesn't work Win 10

I've got a trouble with my HOX when I upgrade my computer to Win 10.
I use ROM: XenonHD 5 Kernel 3.1.10 -cyanogenmod.
I have tried to mount SD card on computer with HTC sync and a bunch of MTP drivers but it haven't worked at all.
I have already uninstalled device and reconnected but it didn't work.
I have already actived USB debugging and didn't work.
Now, it is totally crazy that I can't mount my SD card to transfer data. I really need the help, does anyone have the driver for MTP or someone got that issue? Help me please, thanks all.

Magnetic Car Mount suggestion please

I have been using a Nexus 5. In the car, I have a Kenu Airframe + Nexus Magnetic Qi Charger as mount+charging solution. It's very convenient, just attach/deattach magnetically. Now that my Moto X Pure is on its way (well... ordered), I hope to have some form of magnetic car mount solution. With the weight and curve back, I suppose it is not as easy. But I have read people been able modify generic magnetic mount (by adding strong magnets) to work with Moto X 2nd... Please share your thoughts/experience. Thanks!
