Strange image and video rotation problem

My girlfriend has an M8 and everything she photographs and posts on Facebook to me shows up rotated on it's side. When she views it on her phone, it rotates to the proper orientation automatically. It's only when she posts them on Facebook that everything goes 90 degrees off-kilter. I'll post a picture once I'm ALLOWED to. Silly anti-spam rules....

HELP... Looking for a T-Mobile LG G2 D801 NANDROID Image in order to unbrick my unit

If anyone could provide me with the above it would be greatly appreciated. I installed BootChanger (navax) and it has placed the phone into the dreaded USB Hub (mode 9025) and based on what I have read, I should be able to just write this image to the LG G2's drive that is exposed to Windows 8.1 using Win32DiskImager or similar utility. I use OSX on my desktop but run a Windows 8.1 VM when needed. Basically, it goes into this mode rather than download mode. So, this is basically a case of No Download Mode, No FastBoot, No TWRP, etc.

I got Ubuntu up and running via VM, so I thought i'd root the new Rogers version 10h for us.
Thanks to greganka for the system image for me to root.

The instructions for how to flash it can be found in hackarchive's "Root ANY LG G4 Variant 100% Success Directives | Root Injection | Less Bricks" thread. Thanks to him for that.

As usual, I will not be held responsible if you happen to brick your phone flashing this image, by picking the wrong command, etc.

how to change the lock screen image?

I have this phone with this build 20150521 and i'm not able to change the lock screen image...
well i can change the image choosing between the stock images but i want to put an image chosen by myself...

Pardon my crappy grammar, im writing on a french keyboard and its not familliar.

I was trying to do the HTC one m8 verizon to full t mobile compatibility change but something went wrong. Im stuck in the white screen and the only thing that works is recovery. I thought i backed it all up but when i went to restore, lo and behold, no file. So here I am. Stuck with the "no image wrong image!" message. It seems that my computer recognizes the phone because when i write "fastboot" in cmd a long list of stuff pops up.

But the thread is huge and I dont know what im looking for nor how to install it since my phone doesnt show up in my computer in the way that a USB key does, so i cannot put files in it.

There seem to be other threads on this issue out there but to be honest i cant understand the technical mumbo jumbo. Im not completely computer illiterate but i am new to this whole phone hacking thing. So, in layman terms, what am I to do?

Flash recovery image, bootloader wont boot into recovery directly

So im running CM12.1 and im trying to flash the CWM recovery i used for installing CM and i can get into fastboot mode and flash it, but then every tutorial says then go into recovery through the UI on the screen, but my bootloader screen is just black and obviously cause im in fastboot mode i cant boot directly into recovery without rebooting the device which will reflash the stock recovery
What can i do?

Help on locked gallery image

I moved an image folder to my SD card which contains my locked images to save space in my internal storage.
When I try to open the locked images in gallery it doesn't show those images so I returned back the folder to its original directory which is in internal storage inside gallery folder.
How do I retrieve/show again in gallery all images that are locked?

Accidently Deleted Stock Recovery Image

Hello Everyone,
A while back i rooted my phone through stump, and knowing the risk of rooting, i used flashify to get twrp to backup everything.
All was going well, until i used a cleaning app to delete unnecessary files and unused apps, it deleted my stock recovery as i found out later.
Later the Lollipop software update came around for the att lg g3, and so i clicked to get it, and as the update went through it went to twrp and couldnt complete the update, and so i used a command in twrp
to get to the phone, and when it finally booted up, it forces me to take the update, and so i have to force stop the Software Update app, to stop the notifications and the forced update.
Is there a way for me to get recovery and get the update, an without losing any personal data.

Does stock image have to match device?

So I purchased a used Nexus 6 on Swappa that came with an unlocked bootloader and a custom ROM... Just so I can start totally clean (and party my OCD), I want to flash a stock image, relock the bootloader, and then do any OTA updates I may need... The problem is that since it's a custom ROM it doesn't tell me inside "About Phone" which device I have... When I go to google's site for the stock images it has several carries listed etc...

My question is, does it matter which stock image I flash? I'm T-Mobile.. so if I flash a stock T-Mobile image, will that matter if the device is not from T-Mobile? The other thing that's throwing me off is there's two stock T-Mobile 5.1.1 images on google's site, with different device ID's... so I have a feeling it does matter which version you flash.

Custom boot image

I have a Verizon s5 on NE9 (4.4.2), and I'm rooted or so I thought.

The last couple times I've restarted my device, I haven't seen the unlocked image rift before the red Verizon splash screen.

I'm just wondering if something has happened to my root? Why would it just revert back to the non-rooted boot image?

I also secretly like the unlock image more than the plain Jane image, but I am wondering what happened.

Verizon unlock/tmobile unbrick image

I'm working on a method by which I would be able to completely unlock the bootloader on a g900v, but I need someone here to run this command: busybox dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0 of=/sdcard/unlockbin.bin bs=500000000 count=1
and upload the file and post a link here. This needs to be from a t-mobile g900t phone, and I would really prefer it be the block count I specified, definitely not smaller. Thanks in advance for the help, I really think this will work :fingers-crossed:

Nexus 6, stock image, fastboot not a command

Hey guys I have recently bought a nexus 6 and my mate tried to root it with kingroot, as he did so without me knowing, I could not update my nexus 6 at all, I would get an error every time, ive got my image from Google developers but when I run flash all.bat I am greeted with "fastboot is not an internal or external command" several times... Can someone help

5.1 boot image and recovery for soft brick

Unzip and use images in the zip via fast boot. If your not sure how to use I don't think you should be messing with your phone.

Not my zip but the only one I could find on the net that helps get out of soft brick so all thanks go to the German site it came from.

[Q] to save OTA option for future, should i backup system partition or system image?

as the title says.
with TWRP flashed + system as Read-Only, if i want the option to OTA in the future, should i backup system image or the system partition or both?

H81110N Stock Rooted System Image

Whats up guys, Rydah here again. Here I present you guys with a stock rooted H81110N system image. This is for those who want root but cannot get TWRP to flash prior to root using MicroMod777's "One Click TWRP" tool. I unfortunately was one who couldn't get TWRP to flash before rooting and needed root before doing so but was able to flash TWRP after rooting via my system image.

Requirements:

• An H811 Device


• Already On The 10N Base


• LG Drivers (Found Here)


• A Windows PC


• Send_Command Tools (Found Here)

Instructions:

1. Unzip The Send_Command Tools


2. Move The Rooted System Image Into The Send_Command Folder


3. Once your inside the send_command folder where you placed the rooted system image, hold Shift+Right Click and select "Open Command Window Here."


4. Type in: Send_Command.exe \.\COM# (Replace the "#" with your devices actual COM number. To find this out, open Window's Device Manager (With your device plugged in) and find it under Ports


5. Type in: id


6. You should now have a "#" in the command window.


7. Type in (Or copy and paste this in): dd if=/data/media/0/rootedsystem.img bs=8192 seek=65536 count=548352 of=/dev/block/mmcblk0


8. It'll take a few minutes but a successful flash should bring you to another "#" prompt.


9. Type in: LEAVE


10. Enjoy
