how to force 2g on k3 note running vibe ui 2.8 developer edition?

hi,
i am using the k50a40 version of k3 note and i flashed the k50-t5 developer version of vibe ui 2.8 based on android 5.1. however i cannot set the network mode to 2g. the only modes in preferred network mode are 3g/2g and 4g/3g/2g (4g preferred).

i tried forcing gsm only via *#*#4636#*#* but it doesnt change anything and it keeps staying on GSM auto (PRL).

Is there any other way i can force 2g?

XT1032 running nightly CM 12.1 freezes during phone calls

Hello guys!

For a long time I've been a happy owner of Moto G 2014(xt1032).

Oh how happy I was when it got Lollipop! Soon flashed it with cyanogenmod, my favourite ROM, and since then running on nightly, upgrading every week or so.

Unfortunately, lately an issue started to occur. During phone calls (and phone calls only) moto g freezes and soft-reboots, that is it does not go through a full reboot process, but just the final part(the one with cyan smile). It does not take long, ~20-30 seconds, however the call is disturbed, which is really annoying not only for me but also for the person I was talking with. After getting back to the usable state, a bug-reporting notification appears. I've tried reporting this for a long time now, but without any luck.

What I've done to try fix the issue is:
- rebooting the phone
- complete wipe
- reflashing all firmware possible

Some info about the phone:

model: xt1032
radio: MSM8626BP_1032.390.81.01P
kernel: stock from cyanogenmod 12.1 nightly
bootloader: 41.18
recovery: TWRP

I'm feeling helpless here, this is really driving me crazy! Is there anything I can do to fix it?

Tablet running really slow

This tablet has been great, running complex things like Injustice perfectly. For some reason is has really slowed down recently, even just using the home screen.

Facebook won't install in Xperia M running CyanogenMod 12.1

The title says it all. I'm trying to install Facebook on my device but for some reason it's stuck in the "Installing" status.
What could I do?

Background apps running?

I know this is strange but how do i keep apps running. Here the example, playing Game of War or Deer Hunter 2016, now i want to switch to and send an email. The game now has to restart? Any ideas? I know were usally trying to stop apps from running. And also i know if i had root i could ad it to multiwindow, but um i dont have root..

Why is Android killing running apps instead of old apps when low memory?

Using Lollipop on my device with 1 GB of RAM, I've found that I have trouble using Maps Navigation and Play Music together. Frequently, if I start Nav and then Music, Nav will be closed. Conversely, if I start Music and then Nav, Music will be closed.

Further, I've discovered that if I open the app switcher and clear all old applications, that Nav and Music will work together without problem.

It appears that Android is trying to reclaim memory while under pressure from Nav & Music, but it's starting with other fresh, currently-running applications instead of clearing out old apps from memory first. I would expect stale applications, like Chrome, Mint, or whatever that hasn't been touched in hours to be killed first over a new app--especially ones that are running in the background actively (Music, Nav).

Why is Android killing processes like that? Shouldn't it kill old apps first over newer, active ones?

Has anyone installed Xposed onto this phone while running 5.X?

I've been putting it off for a while now, but I feel like it's been in development on 5.X for long enough that I'm willing to take the risk, however The official thread seems to show a pretty wide variety of options for installs based on what processor is in the phone and tbh I just don't know which one to use.

Just upgraded to CM 12.1 from stock JB ROM - Storage space running out problem

I'm having a little trouble understanding what is going on because this never occurred to me. I have just installed to new CM 12.1 Nightly on my old Galaxy S2 (I9100 Model). I came from the just ROM JB 4.1.3 as I was sure this phone could handle much more than that. Expectations were high and they were met. Although I had some problems installing the KitKat compatible recovery, I eventually did it and it all works well for now - well, except one little annoying thing: after installing about 10 apps the phone started complaining about the internal storage running out.

First thing I do is to check the 'Storage' option in Settings to make sure about the actual space being used. I have 1,96GB total space and at this point the bar was almost filled showing that, in fact, I had about 100MB free space left. I then go to the 'Apps' option to move as many as I could to the SD card. All could be moved except for Google Play Services which itself takes about 200MB. To my surprise, although the apps were supposedly moved to SD card, if I go check the each App Info I still see that almost all space the Apps take is still being stored in the 'internal storage'. Almost nothing is stored in the SD card even if the app was "moved". I also made sure I cleaned the cache of every app.

I go ahead and check the 'Storage' option again. This time I paid attention to the actual details it shows. Once I enter this option the following screen appears: dnuno. pt (slash)outros(slash)screen2. png

No other statistics other than 'Available space' and 'Apps' appear and as the bar indicates I still have a lot of space left at least 1GB. With the previous JB ROM I started running out of space only much later and I had lots of other apps installed.

Somehow the available space is stuck on that value (166MB) even after all the calculations have been made.

I wasn't able to find any reference to this particular version of the 'storage space running out' problem and I'm unaware of possible solutions to this as well. I hope someone can redirect me to some other thread, post or something that could help me out. Also I couldn't post in the original CM 12.1 thread for I9100 because I have just registered.

So, i wanted to start running again, and i can't do it without music.
Of course, there is no way to run with the ZU in your pocket, and it won't fit in any arm bend known to men.

did someone here have a solution for that?

So, first off let me say this,
ive never posted in xda before and im not sure if i should be here, or posting in the tmobile section.

but, what i am having a problem with is intermittent signal/data loss.
once i boot the phone up i get a circle with a line through it for about 5 minutes then it reads my sim,
heres the weird part. i put in my apn setting for tmobile. i can call out and recieve calls, texts and pictures (when it finally starts to work), but when i try to load up my web browser its like i have no mobile data (i have mobile data enabled). on wifi it works fine.
after a while it just drops all signal for what seems forever and it will eventually come back.

my question is, why does it do this and what can i do to fix this.

running 4.4.2(or 3 idr) stock everything (minus the apn settings and ****). lol.

[Dev Help] Is it possible to hook into methods that are running in System Service?

Hi, I'm new to Xposed and I wanted to hook a method in class "com.android.server.am.ActivityManagerService" .

Since this class runs at a very early stage on system boot as a system service, I chose to use "initZygote" to hook into this method. However, I'm not sure it is possible to really hook into the method. If so, what is the classloader here if I wanted to use findAndHookMethod() to change the function behaviour?

Has there been a stagefright fix for LS980 running ZVG based firmware?

I'm seeing some firmwares appear which have stagefright fix for G2, but I have not seen any for specifically LS980. Has there been any, or is flashing cyanogen the only way?

How do I get this old PC game running on my nexus 7?

So i I have this old PC game iI want to play. I have a dualshock 3 controller I'll have attached to my android. Te game is called Assault cube, and can be found at assault.cubers.net. its far older than some quake ports I've seen.

The question iis simple. Is t way iI can get this to play on my nexus 7?

I've tried installing Linux deploy will Kali, but it gave me an opengl error. I'm willing to install anything from a VM to a new boot loader. I'll do anything if you'll just guide me.

Running Script on boot before user apps load ???

still on kitkat 4.4.4 here! :)

Hi guys im searching for a way to start a mount-script BEFORE my user apps load up on boot ?

I already got the install-recovery.sh method to work , but its not good , it loads after boot and after other apps have started.

Scriptmanager method is the same , runs after all other apps have started.

the problem i have is that right now im using the app "folder-mount"which is good for some folders like "dcim" BUT it also starts a good time(5 seconds) after the homescreen.

until then another app which i want to write its folder to the sdcard2 has started before it and has already written its new logfile to the internal emulated sdcard, the "foldermount" mounts afterwards and the app can´t see its own log anymore

this is a major suckage , so i search for a way to mount the folders BEFORE all my user apps load up !

Mi4 Not Smoothly Running After Screen Replace

Now system not running as smooth as it was before.
All Windows Animation Lags .( it feels very low level device)

I have tried factory reset and updated to MIUI 7 as well.

But Still cannot get rid of the Lags.

No data (cellular) on Straight talk with my LG G3(VZW) running Paranoid Android

Ok so I have Paranoid Android 4.4.4 and I had upgraded to the most recent (I believe 5.1) and no matter what I did or straight talk did, I couldn't find a solution to get the data to work. I ended up having to downgrade back to 4.4.4 to get data to work. Has anyone had this issue with this phone and lollipop on Straight talk? The best I can figure is that straight talk doesn't support Android Lollipop..can anyone confirm this or post a fix to this problem? Thank you guys.

Running 5.1.1 lolipop on 4.4.2 kitkat firmware

Newbie here.... So my phone updated and WiFi stopped working. In searching this site for a fix or to revert back to previous version I downloaded a Canadian firmware for the g900w8 model. That is what I have.... My warranty just ended so I figured why not try a new ROM.I rooted and then i installed the team exodus 5.1.1. Never updated my broadband version. Ran that for a week and decided to change due to slow charging and fast draining battery. Stock was awesome full charge in about an hour.
So now I am running blisspop 5.1.1 and flashed krazykernel 3.4 over top
Runs great, some lag in the built in browser still slower charging but better than exodus.

My question though is this..
How am I running 5.1.1 on baseband version for 4.4.2?
