[Q] Is there a method to network unlock the Z3 without buying a code from online ?

Assuming the boot loader is unlocked, the phone is rooted and a custom rom installed is there a way to network unlock the Z3 without a code purchased online ? Im thinking there might be something like this thread that uses an exploit or something to unlock the phone.
