Softbricked to download mode, unsure which versions are in my phone

I have a few specific questions at the bottom, but first, here's the long details:

I ran the custom ROM Hyperdrive RLS 16 (4.1.2) for years and loved it, but the past week I felt it was time to upgrade to a new ROM that was more up to date. I started to try out R3ARMED (4.4.2), did a full wipe in CWM and installed the zip files provided (the ROM and a d2att specific file).

Unfortunately, in my excitement I forgot to make sure that I had a 4.4 bootloader and modem, which seems to be rather essential for this particular ROM. The install failed and I thought I may have bricked the device, but I was able to update CWM and get back into recovery mode. This time, I got through the AROMA installer for the new ROM, but on reset I got stuck in a hard bootloop. It's pretty nasty--I can't use the key combination to reboot into recovery or download mode, and I only get as far as the opening "SAMSUNG" screen before the device blacks out. However, I can use a USB jig to force reboot into download mode--it's the only interface I can get with the phone at this point. ODIN recognizes the device, and when I use Heimdall and its drivers, I'm able to use those tools to interact with the phone. So I hope I'm not completely lost, but not being able to access CWM recovery mode definitely hurts.

Here's what I've tried so far to fix it:
- Without a USB jig, load recovery images onto a 16 GB SD card, insert into phone and power up (no successes, some images actually made it so the "SAMSUNG" screen no longer showed, others corrected this issue)
- Re-flash CWM with heimdall (failed)
- Used the Ultimate Android Toolkit to convert the CWM img into a tar that ODIN can flash, and tried to load it (failed)

I'm looking into trying to flash a full recovery onto the phone to see if that can fix it. But I have a few concerns:
1. I know that once my phone gets a 4.4 bootloader and modem, I can't go back to an earlier stock version.
2. I had an unsuccessful 4.1 -> 4.4 install attempt in the process of bricking updating my phone.
3. I have no idea if the install impacted the bootloader--so I don't know whether I can try a 4.3 stock flash or need to use some of the more recent phone dumps.

My first question is, as usual, what is the best route to take to recover this phone?
My second is, are there tools I can use for a phone in ODIN mode to check the version of the bootloader/modem, check on the integrity of the file system, etc. etc.?

I have a replacement phone on its way, but I view this as an excellent learning opportunity, and would love to hear some advice.

Past Download Notifications Keep Coming Back

Hello XDA!

So got a problem and Im not sure why! So whenever I receive a download on my phone, it brings up the 'hey something is download notification' butttt it also brings the 'hey download is complete' notification for everything I've ever downloaded. Any advice or similar experiences?

LG G3 D855 Wont boot in Download mode.

Hi im new to XDA Developers Forum, i just tried this Solution( http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g...-boot-t3054977 ) and my LG G3 D855. Is in the same state as from User "DonnieDoezoe"
"Totally bricked my phone with these instructions Won't turn on anymore. Tried everything...only shows a trinagle if I connect to usb without battery."

Before i tried this. I had already rooted the LG G3 D855, and after these instructions i tried to reboot into recoveryTWRP( wich i flashed with flashify) i tried to reboot with Quick Boot (Reboot ).
After this my Phone doesnt work anymore and is just like in the state of a blacksreen( the phone is visible as LGE AndroidNet USB Serial Port(COM41), the only thing that shows is a triangle if I connect to usb without battery.

I searched for solutions the whole day and tried to unbrick it with the LGFlashTool by flashing the .tot file and .dll, but wont work because i cant enter to the Download mode.

I Hope some one gives me hint :confused: in the right direction on how to fix this problem, would much appreciate it.

Here's the story. I flash my phone and put the firmware in the wrong place. I put the firmware in the BL not in the AP. And now my phone can not enter download mode again and the screen so wierd. Please help me...😓😓

No OS installed, don't know what region of firmware to download

So I tried to root my Samsung Galaxy S6 today using TWRP and it got stuck in a boot loop. I went to wipe to cache and accidentally wiped to system. So now there is no OS installed. I know I need to somehow put an OS on the device but I'm in Canada and when I go to samsung's site to download the firmware, there is no Canada option. I bought the phone off of amazon and it came with a European wall charger because it was imported, but how do I know what firmware to download?
Also, when I have found the right firmware, how do I flash it onto the device? I can no longer access TWRP, all I can get is the downloading screen thing. Can I use Odin/how do I use Odin?
Somebody help me I'm panicking because I broke my brand new phone!

Can only enter Download mode after trying to root. ATT H810. Please help!

So, I was performing the root process, and on step 3 I accidentally pasted the H810PR instead on H810ATT. Phone will not boot, but I can enter Download mode.

The problem is that when I'm using the Send_Command, the commands do not work. Sometimes I will get a very long pause after the DD command (I let it run overnight - doesn't work), or I get an immediate #. I've tried using the "id" command as well and nothing ever returns.

I have the original system.img on the phone as well as the rooted one. I just can't get the phone to run the dd command. When I type LEAVE, the phone restarts so I know it is communicating.

Any thoughts?

Help, How can I download 2 whatsapps on windows phone

[Q]My S II Plus boot loop, no recovery , no charging just download mode

Like post said this happened after i put Lollipop (Ressurection Remix i think) and then i didn't had network..with few searches on web I find that EFS it's corrupt and downloaded EFSFix.zip from internet (idk right now the source) after I flashed it with Odin 3.07 this started...I TRIED following with no succes :
- flash with odin i9105pxx11 etc. stock firmware , no succes ;
- flash CWM , TWRP and all recovery files , no succes ;
- find something Syiah kernel fixing EFS and others no S II Plus kernel just S II .. ;
- battery out one night, charging one night ..still loops.

Please if somene can help me..I don't have so much battery so the thing is what I flash now it is the last.:)

Firmware Download?

Is it possible to download the firmware (e.g. kdz or equivalent) for the V400 from the LG servers like how you can for phones using the IMEI, possibly using the serial number or something? :confused:

S6 Edge hard brick! "Recovery is not seandroid enforcing". Download mode not possible

Searched long and wide but haven't encountered anyone with a problem like mine.

Got my S6 Edge today and I flashed it with CF autoroot. Insta-brick!

I can NOT turn it off. Only "reset" it with Vol down + Power, but it immediatly goes back to the black screen saying "Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge" and in little red letters "Recovery is nog seandroid enforcing".

Any fix for this? Literally can't think of anything. Let me know, thanks in advance!

Can't download updates after 5.1

Just updated to 5.1 lollipop. When I try to update any app from the play store the download begins, I watch the progress bar star moving across and the download arrow up in my notification bar animated. Sometimes it gets to 40% sometimes to 90% but then the download arrow in the notification bar disappears and the progress bar stays stuck.

I have two sm-g5308w phones. Two were stuck in download mode and one was detected by odin, which was fixed by loading stock firmware. The second was not detected by odin. Not sure if this is a windows issue or a phone issue (win 10, latest firmware on phone)

Can't get into download mode!

Hi everyone, a couple days ago I flashed from stock (smp600) to cm 12 unofficial. I also installed xposed and a few modules. The last module, which I have a hunch is what caused the problem, was xhalofloatingwindows. Last night it was fine when I powered down, but this morning I got a boot loop when I turned it on. So, I booted to recovery, flashed the uninstall xposed and rebooted. It optimized my apps and then shut down automatically after it finished. Same thing when I turned it back on again. So I did a full wipe and reinstalled the cm 12 and xposed, then rebooted system and walked away. When I came back it was hard bricked. Power button doesn't work, no recovery, no download mode, no charging symbol when plugged in. Any ideas? Any way to get into download mode without a removable battery? Phone stuck in TWRP, can't access download mode after factory reset

Hello all,
My Samsung Galaxy Note II is stuck in TWRP 2.8.7 after I did a factory reset.

I initially followed this guide (wiki dot cyanogenmod dot org/w/Install_CM_for_t0lte) to install CM, which worked fine. I ran into a slight issue and decided I'd try to flash again as it was pretty easy. Turned out to be a mistake as I can't seem to do anything right now and am stuck in TWRP. Every combination of button and reboots I try just bring me back into TWRP. Plugging the phone in the computer recharges the battery, but the computer (running Windows 7) does not recognize the phone. ADB doesn't detect any device.

I tried a few times to reinstall the roms, to no avail as I was unable to boot into anything else than recovery. I then followed some guide and accidentally wiped the roms from the phone. As stated above, I can't access the phone through ADB so I am unable to push them back on the phone.

Please help, I would be immensely grateful. Thanks to all in advance.

G2 not detected in windows when using flashtool in download mode

Hi, first of all, I don't have my phone bricked, I'm on aosp and I want to test cloudy 3.3; I know I don't need to use a kdz method but as I didn't update official stock lollipop rom, I wan't to make a clean install.

The problem is that using any of the guides (kdz,tot method) I can't go further than entering in download mode, beacuse windows 10 isn't detecting the phone in download mode, I have installed the driver (different versions too) and nothing.. I'm desperate.

Has someone an idea??:confused::confused:
