Past Download Notifications Keep Coming Back

Hello XDA!

So got a problem and Im not sure why! So whenever I receive a download on my phone, it brings up the 'hey something is download notification' butttt it also brings the 'hey download is complete' notification for everything I've ever downloaded. Any advice or similar experiences?

Note 3 (international snapdragon version) keep restarting by itself

Hi, my mother's note 3 running stock samsung android 5.0 is facing some problems
1)It will restart itself while sleeping, the phone will work normally when using but after screen is off, it will restart by itself and keep looping
I tried to factors restart but the problem remains the same..
2) the phone will charge very slowly while booting and restarting itself and the screen will get very hot.
3) note 3 started to not having any service when a sim card is in it...my mother's sim card works on my lg g2 but no service on her note 3..my sim card also says no service on her note 3...

How to install apps to system partition and keep them update to save space?

As far as I know one can't re-size the partitions of a I9509... But there is a huge amount of lost space in system partition specially when on a debloated custom ROM.

Therefore I thought isn't there a way to simply install apps to system partition and keep them (automatically) updated there either... Is there a solution for that?
Or any other idea how to use that senseless wasted space?

[Q] Start over or keep flashing? battery issue

Hi everyone,

I'm a bit new to this but bear with me. I got an S5 SM-G900A this week with OA1 loaded on monday night. After spending tuesday marveling at how much bloatware was on it and how horrible the battery life was I rooted and began freezing and uninstalling some apps. Day 2 with the phone was also very bad, it nearly died in 8 hours with less than 1 hour screen time. Today, Day 3, I began tweaking a lot of the settings to see if I could get it do better at idle, but again it barely lasted through the day. It took me a while to figure out the "WiFi always scanning" setting, but even once I got my phone to sleep, it didnt seem to make that much difference (no blue bar in usage manager). I've attached some screenshots from usage manager and wakelock detector, does this all look normal to the experts out there?

Should I just flash back to stock to see if I can get the phone at least making it to 15+ hours with light usage on the completely stock setup? I feel inclined to do this, because it SHOULD work bone stock, right? Or is it a waste of time and the stock rom is so bad I should just load something else?

Finally, if I did want to try going back to completely stock I could just follow the troubleshooting section of this post, is that correct? can I flash the OTA updates in the same manner using ODIN instead of sideloading from an sdcard? http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-...-2015-t3021120

Keep or Lose MF9?

HI all,

I'm looking to flash my phone with a newer ROM. I'm currently on one I installed quite a while ago. I'm now a bit confused on which ROMs I can and can't use.

My phone is MF9 according to what I've been able to locate in the about settings and phone info programs. I keep seeing stuff about OD2, but I'm not really sure what that means for me. Also, isn't there something about updating and it doing something to the boot loader?

Do I need to update to OD2 to use newer ROMs?
Will it lock my boot loader and what will that do to my ability to change ROMs later?

Lastly, and I know it's a matter of personal preference, what ROM would you recommend? I'm just looking for something stable. Though good battery life and fast would be nice too.

Help! My phone is keep rebooting

My friend was playing with my phone and he got into code *#9090# and click on first one.
after that it is keep rebooting the phone and does not show any cell signal.
Phone is rebooting every 30 second and during that time i tried to access the code again and it show blank.
The setting-> More -> mobile data shows that insert the sim card.

Update to 5.1.1 and keep root?

Hey, I'm currently on 5.0.2 and rooted using pingpong root so haven't tripped knox.
Was wondering if it was possible to update to 5.1.1 while keeping my root and knox intact.

Are you going to keep your G4?

Having previously owned the G2 and G3, I was looking forward to the G4, however personally the camera is the only reason why I stick with it. Everything else seems like a downgrade from the G3, especially in the looks and feel. I'm glad we have root and Xposed which helps greatly, but going from the G2 to the G3 showed a large decline in dev support, and seeing as how it's been several months since release and we still have no custom ROMs makes it seem like there is going to be very little dev support going forward, even if we eventually get custom ROMs.

I don't remember wanting a new phone so quickly the last 2 years, but I've been anxiously awaiting the new phones this fall to see if there is something else that I'd like more. I'm leaning towards either the Moto X Pure or new Nexus.

Is anyone else disappointed enough in either the phone or dev support that they are looking to replace their G4 earlier than usual?

[Q] TW features to keep and remove, xposed?

N910F. After playing around with a TW ROM, I've decided I need Xposed. I miss the customisation that was possible.

There are also a few features I don't like about TW:

* the S finder notification bar
* the quick settings bar
* large fonts in several areas (despite setting font size to tiny)
* bright colours etc.

... but I would like to keep the multi window facility from TW.

* Would it be possible to remove these features from a TW ROM using Xposed? Or add multi window to an AOSP ROM?
* Do I need a deodexed TW ROM for Xposed? Anyone got this working or is it still buggy?

Help Urgent: Phone keep looping on start up screen after official update

Keep network traffic usage stats after wipe?

I got just one quick question. Is there a possibility to 'save' or backup mobile network traffic usage stats before wiping the phone to restore it afterwards?

How to Update from KK (Rooted) to LP (Keep Root)??

Hello fellow friends
I am actually running 4.4.4 KK Rooted, with DRM Keys, Locked BootLoader and etc, just like this step-by-step guides you, i did follow all the steps.
I been using it for a few months and now, i feel like updating to the Lollipop. What EXACTLY do i have to do? ( I was thinking about, FLASHING a pre-rooted LP rom via recovery, then, after that, turn off the phone and THEN flash a FULL NON-PRE ROOTED rom via Flash Tools and exclude "SYSTEM" while flashing it.)

Am i thinking the correct? IF no, what should i do to keep my device rooted and update it from KK to LP?

How to keep (some) settings between reflashes?

Say I want to ...

• try out various images, e.g. CM or RessurrecionRemix


• try out different .ZIP updates to them, e.g. various options of TK GApps


• experiment with self written rules for TK's "Universal Application Remover"

Obviously this mean that I'll wiping my partitions all the time. And all settings will be lost. But then I'd would have to re-enter and re-enter things like my WLAN passphrase, or my google account.

Q: Is there a thread somewhere that explains how to save important things and provide them in a .ZIP file for TWRP?

note cannot send text or m as keep calls

I have an iPhone 5s att. I bought a note 5 to replace it. I put in the Sim card from the iPhone but cannot Sen or receive text, I can make and receive calls for about ten minutes then all of a sudden the 4G signal is gone.. now all I can do is make emergency calls. Can anyone help me? Do I need to create a custom apn?

Keep getting random "Error 16" with Boost Mobile?

I flashed my Moto G (1st gen, non-LTE) with CM12.1. Every now and then randomly I lose service and have to call up Boost Mobile to fix error 16.

Is there a way to fix this/prevent it from happening? From what I heard, it has to do with the MEID in some way.

Messages KEEP SCREEN OFF

I hate when I get a text and my screen turns on, it's a MASSIVE waste of power to me. Is there a way to turn that off and keep (I'm not changing apps) the stock messaging app? Thanks all!

(I am rooted and I'm apprehensive about xposed so unless I have to, no xposed mods)

Phone keep on freezing Galaxy SHV-E160S

I am using a Galaxy Note Lte (SHV-E160S) it was working slowly lately so decided to root it to improved it performance. After rooting i Installed an application called SYSTEM APPS REMOVER which help me remove some unwanted apps (like T-Store, S suggest and many other Korean apps) on my phone because i am not using them and they keep on using my data. After going through this process i decided to Factory Reset. Now comes the problem after successfully factory reset it. Went i got to the configuration of language stage the phone keep on freezing and the screen won't respond but the back and menu keys are all working perfectly. Guys i just wanted to ask is the anyway i can skip that stage or any help will be appreciated. Thank you
