Keep network traffic usage stats after wipe?

Hi all,
I got just one quick question. Is there a possibility to 'save' or backup mobile network traffic usage stats before wiping the phone to restore it afterwards?

Kind regards,
Lexxi

Is it possible to exclude traffic usage for specific apps from the data usage stats?

Hi,

I'm from Germany. T-Mobile Germany offers free traffic for Spotify music streaming as an option for their otherwise limited data plans (mine has 1,5 GB/month). I'd like to use the data usage statistics, but as you might guess, when using Spotify a lot the statiscs are skewed since Android doesn't distinguish the traffic from the rest or offer an option to exclude Spotify from the usage statistics.

Does anybody know of an add-on that would give me an "include in usage statistics" checkbox in the corresponding settings tab? And if not, do you know of any plans to include something like this in Android Marshmallow or any custom roms?

Thx a lot in advance!

Alternative to installing Better Battery Stats as system app

Starting with Android 4.4 (KitKat) Better Battery Stats (BBS) require installation as system app to be able to collect the stats.
BBS must re re-installed as system app after each ROM upgrade (upgrade that does not preserve third party system apps).

I have found an alternative to this - the required permissions can be granted to BBS when it is installed as a regular user app by running these commands in Android Terminal (or ADB shell session):

Code:

su
pm grant com.asksven.betterbatterystats android.permission.BATTERY_STATS
pm grant com.asksven.betterbatterystats android.permission.DUMP

After using these commands it might be required to restart BBS process (e.g. reboot the device). Permissions granted this way will be preserved across ROM upgrades (even across those completely overwriting /system partition).

This has been tested on CyanogenMod 12.1 nightlies (Android 5.1.1).

I just noticed that twrp doesn't have option to reset battery stats in 4.4.4

This might have been an option, back in the old days, with older Samsung phones. With kit kat, is this option no longer available? Maybe back in the cwm recovery days...

I noticed that many times, the phone will run for quite awhile at 1% before shutting down.
