Can I unlock region by changing my modem or rom?

Title says it all

No OS installed, don't know what region of firmware to download

So I tried to root my Samsung Galaxy S6 today using TWRP and it got stuck in a boot loop. I went to wipe to cache and accidentally wiped to system. So now there is no OS installed. I know I need to somehow put an OS on the device but I'm in Canada and when I go to samsung's site to download the firmware, there is no Canada option. I bought the phone off of amazon and it came with a European wall charger because it was imported, but how do I know what firmware to download?
Also, when I have found the right firmware, how do I flash it onto the device? I can no longer access TWRP, all I can get is the downloading screen thing. Can I use Odin/how do I use Odin?
Somebody help me I'm panicking because I broke my brand new phone!

If you change your firmware region, what happens to the keyboard region?

Hi all

Has anybody changed their tablet's firmware to that of a different region which has a different keyboard layout? If so, did the keyboard layout continue to match the markings on the keys?

Alternatively, can anybody confirm if all keyboard layouts are listed somewhere in the settings, and you can choose which keyboard layout you want to use regardless of what is printed on the keys?

How to get region lock status?

Hello. I want to get region lock status on Galaxy A5. I live in region which allow me to work, but what if I will move. I need to know what networks are locked and what not. I tried to edit customer.xml unfortunately I don't know how to get lock status. Maybe some AT command, or shell command, or internal api... Thanks very much.

What is region code in custom rom ?

I use samsung s duos 2 gt -7582 with android 4.2.2 and i wish to update my device to kitkat version. I want to know what region code should i select while downloading custom rom .

[Q] System update changed firmware region

I just purchased a zenfone 2 Laser online from a seller in Taiwan with TW firmware on it (Only TW and JP firmware support 4G Band 28 I need in Australia).
As soon as the phone arrived I set it up an OTA system update.
To my surprise when the update installed I noticed that the firmware was no longer TW but WW.

Is this normal?"

Will my phone still support 4G Band 28? (I don't have a SIM in it yet)

How do I tell if my phone is really a Taiwan version and not a WW version or was it really a cleverly disguised WW version all along?

[Q] NST Resizing screen for dead region

Complete newb here, be compassionate please.

I have a NST with a dead region about 100 pixels high at the left bottom corner. So I tried to resize the screen to, say, 700x600 by editing the build.prop file or running the command
adb shell am display-size 700x600.
Editing build.prop had no visible effect and I get "display-size: not found" after running the adb command. I don't know if it has something to do with API level or anything. Like I said I am not a developer.

My problem in a nutshell is to by-pass that dead region on the screen. Open to any suggestions.

SM-N920I from Singapore with no Region sticker

I bought my 920i off of eBay, it came from Singapore and there was no region sticker on the box like my previous international phones. Is the Singapore version not a true international version or is it not region locked? Has anyone who bought the 920i from Singapore had the region sticker on their box?

Question about different region

Hello all, I'm new to this forum so please be forgiving .. Yesterday I noticed that 5.0.2 (Spanish Region) is coming for Grand Prime (SM-G530FZ) , so I just want to know if its possible to install it on my Grand Prime SM-G530FZ but it's Polish region (XEO) phone and thats why I'm asking you guys if I can install this, because I don't know if it brick my phone or something , can you please help me out with this ? RUU for HTC One X (Indonesian Region)

Hi, Does anyone here know where can I get the right RUU for my HTC One X (indonesian version). Im having a hard time finding the right RUU for my HTC Once X. I already tried some RUU's but no work. I did visited the htc indonesia but unfortunately I cant understand indonesian language. Can someone here point to the right track, I wasnt able to use my htc now. I cant boot to the system and recovery cant access the sd card. I only have the fastboot mode and recovery but my cwm cant access my SD Card so I dont know what to do next. Region Lock?!?

Hi, I may be getting an S6 Edge Plus from UAE and I'm not sure if it is region locked or not. My friend can get it for me. Is there any region lock on the s6 edge plus (from UAE or not)? I'm going to use it in the UK.
