xt1045 41.18 or 41.1A bootloader on xt1042?

I greatly do apologize if this is in the wrong forum and if it is, can someone please direct me to the correct forum? But I was just wondering what exactly would happen if I used the 41.18 or 41.1A bootloader from the xt1045 on the xt1042? Anything bad or would I be able to use it?
