Hi,
When I first got my Note 4 I flashed it with a custom ROM and Kernel maybe an hour after I bought it, and since then (that almost a year ago) I was never with the default ROM + Kernel from Samsung ,as I was annoyed it was always full of bloatware(they even put facebook app comes as a system app).
However now with 5.1.1 I've had non rooted defualt samsung kernel+Rom for 2 days and it was smooth(no issues/slowness and even the best score I've gotten on antutu- over 52k), never got a hot and was fun to be with.
Now I've flashed AEL just to get root and it started getting a bit warm/hot even after not using it with heavy loadings, (even after underclocking ) and the same with other custom kernels I've used this year for 5.0.1 (emotion mostly, ael, and the one that comes with CM when using cm).. and thats even after I deleted 60 useless system apps and made only the needed apps to start with the phone!
the phone feels smoother/less warmish with default kernel + bloatware then without.
Did you guys notice over the past year that your device gets a bit warmer/sometimes slower when actually using a ''better'' custom kernel with much more optimizations and development?
can it be that the default kernel is actually better?
