[Q] Worth rooting

I've had this phone now for about 6 weeks or so. First phone I purchased without rooting right out of the box. I want to root in hopes of fixing some of the noted issues. However after reading so many user issues after rooting; I wonder if it is even worth it or wait till M is released.
