Active display is different on Moto X Play?

ok so i got the Moto X 2014 ,Droid turbo and others Motorola.
the Active display works like that: when u got a notification the screen lights untill u read or dismiss the notification.
on Moto X play the phone acts in another way: lights one time ,then nothing untill u take the phone in ur hands. then the phone lights up and make u see that u got new notification.
why? why the screen doesn lights up more times like on Moto X 2014?

S6 Active. WE NEED ROOT.

Good day guys, I'm one of the owners of this device and as you may or may not know we don't have root yet.
Also we still have official 5.0.2 and no news on 5.1 or 6.0.
Such an under-rated phone for what it does!
Many owners of the device me included are willing to donate to developers for their work on rooting this thing.

how can i update my Samsung galaxy s5 active from at&t to the 4.4.4 android version in order to take it to lollipop since i have the update.zip to install it via recovery but it need the 4.4.4 version to get successfully install

CM12 Privacy Guard - WiFi Scan for Location always active?

As no one in the Q&A forum could give me an answer, maybe here someone knows what's going on "under the hood".

Privacy Guard tells me that location is constantly active using Wi-Fi scan with the settings app although I've Wi-Fi turned off:


That is annoying as first I do not want my location constantly monitored and second this maybe also is not "battery friendly".

Anyone knows what's going on here exactly? Is it true what privacy guard tells me?
On CM11 the settings app was not constantly monitoring the location using Wi-Fi when Wi-Fi was turned off.

Hi Guys,

Sort of new to the whole XBMC such a great amount of obliged for you're understanding.

Being from Canada, I am suspecting that its slippery live diversions streams that truly work. I've found a couple through navix (espn) yet most of the components addons don't work for me.



This isn't as segregating right now in light of the fact that there is no hockey, yet when it starts up I am watching hockey reliably.

That is the spot I watch all my live amusements. Ideally someone will have the ability to create an addon that would support this site?

Lollipop CM12 Privacy Guard - Location always active?

It seems as if location is always active in CM12. Is this true?
I've CM12.1 installed on my Nexus 5. I use it without GApps.
Except when I'm abroad, I never use WIFI and keep it disabled. I rarely use GPS, when activating it I use GPS only mode.

When I enter the advanced privacy settings in Privacy Guard I get the following under location:
As I cannot post a screenshot, here is what it says:
Android System - monitor location (used 11 times), coarse location - running
Settings Wi-Fi scan (used 93 times), coarse location - 0 min ago

How can this happen when WIFI is disabled? On Kitkat this was not the case.

Is it possible to get rid of this behavior? I do not want Settings to constantly scan WIFI and Android System monitor my location. This is very annoying.
If it is really constantly active it also will drain the battery faster.

I want to install the 5.0.1 version, but on sammobile, the only version available for "I9295XXUCNI1" is 4.4.2.

There is 5.0.1 available with PDA I9295XXUDOD3 and CSC I9295XXUDOD1..

Is it safe to install that room?

Just Got S6 Active And Wireless Charger(s) not working

Hi Guys,

For the past year I have been using a Tylt Vu, and Itian Desktop wireless chargers with my S5 with the Samsung back.

Charging speed with both desktop stands was really good. And it charged the phone in a couple of hours.

I just picked up an S6 Active yesterday, and on both my stands it's barely charging.

The phone shows the charging symbol. The stands light up showing the phone is charging. But it's charging at a rate of about 2% an hour.... Totally not usable.

Am I missing some kind of a setting to get the chargers to kick into gear???

I think my S4 active is hard brick

Hello!, I am new in this, but I think my S4 active At&t model (SGH-i537) is hard brick because for what i have read it has all the things a HB phone has. Although I didnt try downloding or change anything on it (I say this because everybody says that you get hardbricked when you try to install roms or chane something else of you phone). The battery was low, I didnt chager it at night so when I waked up it had already turned off (discharged).... .after that I tried to charge it, but didnt work, I tried diffrent chargers and cables and even a new battery and a complete charged one and nothing, the pc wont recognize it, and i cant get into recovery or download mode, I have tried everything, i even bought a usb jib and didnt work on it (and it was not the usb because i tried on another phone and it worked). I dont know what else to do. would It be a motherboard problem - hardware? if so, .. changing it (buying a new one) its the only solution? For what i have read they are expensive, i think it would be better to bu a new phone. please help me!!! the phone it seems like new and i can stand that it doesnt work, i used all my saving to buy it!...... :crying::crying:

I believe there should be a section devoted to this phone just as there are to others. I know people, like my self would like to be able to root their device, and it would be much simpler to be able to go straight to it. I had done extensive research on this forum all day yesterday after "Soft-Bricking" my S 5 Active. To much of my surprise, I did not find a whole lot. One of the biggest issues I had was not being able to find the firmware for 5.0 for my phone to try to unbrick it. So, I would like to offer the Original firmware if someone can be able to give me instructions on how to create an image or whatever is needed. I still want to have my phone rooted but am very nervous to try again. I ended up having to drive 45 miles (1 hour) to the city to a warranty center to have it fixed. Thankfully they were able to and saw it as not my fault. However I want to help others while receiving some personal help from other members who have successfully rooted there Samsung Galaxy S 5 Active (AT&T) SM-G870A.

If their is a section already I apologize but I have not found it.

Samsung s5 Active stuck on Recovery Mode Loop

So I was trying to root my S5 Active G870A OF3 And i put a kernel through odin on it now when i try to turn it on it just goes on recovery mode. I have tried clearing the cache thing, factory reset and it doesn't fix it! Pleaas help :(

This should be considered a must have along with the Lollipop memory leak fix xposed module for anyone rooted even if they don't use any other xposed modules.
This should noticeably improve battery life.

Equivalent To Active Desktop?

I had previously asked about making an active tile, but I fear I may have been throwing out what I thought would be a 'simple' solution instead of asking for what I really wanted. I am looking to have something that allows my users to see this content - http://orsl.montana.edu/weather/ORSLweather.php - easily. This page is basically a small image that updates every five minutes with a new image showing the current weather from a weather station at a university.

Turning on the way back machine I was able to accomplish this using Active Desktop in Windows XP and Vista. With Windows 7 I wrote some code to make a Windows Gadget and even used an add-on to re-enable gadgets in Windows 8. I had hoped making an active Windows Tile for the Start Menu would be fairly easy, but it turns out that is not the case.

I am open to a solution that allows this content to be on the Desktop or Start Menu and regularly update. Any thoughts?

Galaxy S6 Active Ultra Power Save (Brick) Mode

To start, I have lost access to the reaction video of my wife's first pregnancy announcement. So I would even be willing to make a donation to someone who can help me. (If that is against the rules, let me know)

I used an app from the Play store called Package Disabler Pro to disable some of the bloatware on my phone. In doing so, I disabled something necessary for Ultra Power Save Mode to function. (perhaps Touchwiz) I use Nova Launcher. I tried to show UPSM to a friend yesterday and was met with a black screen. The phone was still running, as I could get the notification window to drop down from swiping. But I had no option to leave UPSM in the settings. The settings that were listed were very limited. I tried everything and ended up soft restarting the phone. It booted back up into UPSM with black screen (no launcher). I finally started tinkering around with Recovery and cleared the cache. At some point, I don't know if it was caused by the cleared cache, it stopped booting fully. I now get stuck at the finished ATT boot animation.

I'm at a loss as to the next step. AFAIK there are no custom recoveries for Galaxy S6 Active yet. So pulling data from ADB in recovery is out. The only other option I have seen is a 'dirty' stock rom flash. But I don't even know if that is possible or will work. If there is anyone out there that has any clue what I should be doing, please help me. I need help. :crying:
