Usb connection (MTP) not working.

Hi.

My laptop's hardrive died so i had to buy a new one and intall windows xp again. So far so good. But now that im trying to connect my tab to transfer some files, as i used to, i get an error of "MTP device failed installing" or something like that.

I researched about that and tried every possible sollution out there. The only thing that semi-works is installing Windows Media Player 10 (which is wierd bc i was using media player 9 before and the device worked well).

The reason i said semi-works is:
When i try to explore the files in it, it doesnt matter if its the internal or external memory, it opens a new screen with 2 folders. Media and Data. Whichever I click the system hangs while "thinking" and it doesnt un-hangs unless I kill the windows explorer in the task manager or unplug the device.

bluetooth not working

I am able to pair the phone with several devices including my LG G4 which is also bluetooth 4, but it cannot transfer any files to or from the device ....it says something about 'missing bluetooth services' on the moto x

Cellular network (calls and sms) not working

Phone is rooted and unlocked with multirom since July and has been working great. 3 roms installed; liquidsmooth 5.1.1, chroma 5.1.1, and Ubuntu.

Yesterday, calling started to be intermittent. Sometimes switching airplane mode on/off fixed it, sometimes it didn't. Today I cannot get calls to work at all. Phone shows dialing but then hangs up before any ringing. Incoming calls don't work either, it goes straight to voicemail. I thought it may have been lollipop but the problem occurs in Ubuntu as well. Funny thing is that the phone finds the network carrier and has decent signal.

I havent changed anything on the phone recently, only thing is that I dropped it 3 days ago. Thankfully no cosmetic damage, but am starting to think internal damage.

I've tried soft reboot, cold booting, pulling the sim...no luck

Should also mention I'm on virgin mobile canada...
Any ideas?

[NO OS] OS has been deleted and ADB Sideload Not Working (Z00A)

I ordered a phone and received it today and found that the OS is gone and I wasn't able to install a new one through adb sideload. The only menus I can access are the Boot Menu and the Recovery menu built into the phone.

My device is not being recognized through 'adb' at all and only fastboot commands are available.

Any help? I can explain more if you'd like, I'm still counting the problems I have with this phone currently.

Auto brightness not working?

Running 5.0 on AT&T model. I have auto brightness turned on with baseline at dimmest setting which as most know is bright enough for most indoor situations. When I go outside into broad daylight, the brightness does not change. I can manually increase to full (and then the display is readable) but nothing happens on it's own.

Is this normal, am I missing something else? Defective light sensor?

private mode not working after root

Please help me. After rooting I have lost private mode functionality. Any ideas will be highly appreciated.

Caller ID Not Working For Some Contacts

I've been having an issue with Caller ID not showing up for some of my contacts when they call - particularly ones that have a country code prefix in the address book.

Does anyone know how I can make the phone recognize that contact is calling me? I had a Nexus 5 prior to my Samsung Note 5 and never has this issue.

If anyone can help it'd be much appreciated.

Notification led stopped working after digitizer replacement

I recently replaced my digitizer and now i got everything back working but i get no notification leds.
Can it be because of the cheap chinese digitizer i used? or did i disconnect / broke somethine while the phone was open?

Developers, my auto rotation stopped working after installing a custom rom( I don't remember which rom it is, sorry)... After that whatever rom I install auto rotation is not working but it works only on Sony xperia rom (first version).. So, how to get my auto rotation working back in other roms.. Please help me

Text messages over car bluetooth stopped working

I have a 2013 ford c max and I've run multiple 5.1.1 roms on my galaxy s5 and the car would read the texts after recognizing the phone has received it.

i have tried to disable hangouts and use messaging but that won't work cause i can't get many of my text or picture messages... its a great app but missing that functionality would be more impressive.

Has anyone else come up with issues like this and if so any apps that will solve this.

Knock on not working after "Device test" in hidden menu [D802]

It's been always like that.
Whenever I press "Device test" in the hidden menu, the device gets semi-stuck (not really.. because when I press the home button it exits) and I lose my knock on (both when screen on and off).
I forgot about it and pressed on it again.
My last nandroid backup is pretty old...

What should I try?
Ofc I tried the hidden menu touch firmware upgrade.. Didn't work.

Back button not working after software update?

Hi everyone. I just flashed back to stock (Koodo official firmware) to sell my Note 3 and now my back hardware button isn't working. I have searched the web and to no avail. Could someone please give me an idea of what I can do to fix this? Thank you!!:D

Guys i did it ! the Gear fit is working with lollipop for samsung S3 . rom RESURRECTION REMIX 5.5.5[CM12.1] .
1. first go to the build .prop.
2. where is say ro.product.model-xxxxxxx in the xxxxxxx write SM-G925F
3. unistall any version of the gear fit manager and the restart

Hi all I have redme 2, with stock rom ,rt now 6.7.1 version, but since the beginning there videos from phone are not playing on my Sony TV, but photos will.!! anyone having this issue ??

true ambient mode not working correctly !!

i am having a weird problem with watch faces and ambient mode..
earlier when ambient mode was on whatever watch background color was like black or white...it would display only that color in ambient mode ..for eg. if watch background color is white then in ambient mode it would display white but now since last two days ...whatever watch face be or background ..it would always display black background in ambient mode :(

CEC Turning on TV and switching Input not working

When i casted something before it used to turn my tv on and switch it the input of the chromecast automatically, now for some reason it doesnt. Ive factory reset both my tv and chromecast. The Chromecast is white when tv is off and plugged into a power outlet. CEC is turn on and plugged into HDMI 1. Any suggestions

WiFi not working after factory reset and flashing stock (Flashed modem to PDA)

I accidentally flashed a lollipop modem file to pda instead of to cp. I was installing the lollipop bootloader/modem to my kitkat phone in order to update to xtrestolite.
I am running a SM-G900I.

After the flash my WiFi no longer works. Everything else was fine, although sometimes there was crashes or something else wrong with a rom, but I assume that's unrelated.

Since then, I have flashed probably over 50 times. Multiple kernels, multiple different roms. I have done complete erase, factory erase, custom erase all in recovery, etc. I have now flashed a stock rom with odin... yes full including recovery, modem, non-hslo.bin, etc. after a full erase. After installing it WiFi still not working. unfortunately even after factory reset again.

Touch screen stopped working

I ran with the phone this morning, got a drop of sweat on it and now the touch screen isn't working at all with fingers. It works fine with the S-pen. I have ran and worked out with every phone I have had many times getting sweat all over them and never had an issue. Can't believe a drop or two of sweat would kill this touchscreen.

Anyone had a similar issue?
