Sorry about noob question. Before, when I made my TWRP backup i made it on my phone's internal storage. How do i move that backup to my new SD card? Thanks in advance.

Problems after Lollipop update (Help needed) (Noob)

Hi guys,

Ever since I updated to Lollipop especially after the recent update to 5.1.1, everything is screwed up.

The google camera doesn't work so I had to uninstall it to atleast get the phone's camera working. Flashlight turns off after a while.
I'm not receiving calls as those who call get the message that my phone is switched off even though my phone is in my hands SWITCHED ON.

What the hell should I do? Its pissing me off.

I've rooted my device a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 model#SM-217S unsuccessfully but can't get the SuperUser application to install properly. I used the Kingroot app to root it originally. Now I can't add the SU application. I can get into the TWRP recovery which I am assuming that it's been rooted.

Not sure what to do here at this point

Hey guys, so this is a total curiosity question! How is it possible to flash a new bootloader FROM the bootloader? Or a new recovery FROM the recovery? I've done it a million times, but TECHNICALLY, how is it even possible? Just curiosity haha thanks guys!

I mean when first value was 32,30,31, etc. and second 00 it mean i lost DRM keys ? Or its normal ? Sorry, im really new with this..

Noob question

1st the phone is a Verizon lg g2
Android 5.0.2
software version vs98039A

2nd the phone used to be my primary, but I've been using an s3 that was given to me for free.

3rd, I finally decided to root and flash recovery (worked exceptionally well and quick too)

I don't think there's a way to unlock boot loader,but I miss having the ability to have better on it for speed stability and battery life which I've always gotten from aokp rooms, but since my s3 has a locked boot loaded and the g2 does too is it still possible to flash either pacman, paranoid android or an aokp from since I'm on stock lollipop?

Please help noob user: Unrooted kindle fire hd 7 bootloop with broken power button

I have been having problems opening my device for months now because the power button isn't working anymore for me. So when I open my Kindle I just usually plug the charger. Then one day, I don't know what happened, when I opened my device it was so slow and the launcher (original) is always not responding. So when I finally manage to go to Settings > Device > Restore Factory settings... my account was deregistered and I waited for it to reboot. When it did, it was the same. I didn't think that the Reset settings I did, worked. My power button is broken, right? So what I did next, I opened the back case of the device and tried to push the power button with a pin, then all of a sudden it restarted and ended up being stuck with the Kindle Fire logo. Anyone could help me with this problem? I'm still hoping that it could still be fixed. Please reply, any help would be much appreciated. (My KFHD is the first gen btw)

Help! me go from CM12.1 >stock >straight talk. (Not a noob)

I won an HTC One M9 from sprint. My previous phone was a non-triband L720 Samsung S4.
I'm selling the phone to a friend who will be getting Sprint, but can't yet do it because the closest place around is like 60 miles away!

So in the mean time, he got a straight talk card (CDMA&GSM)
I have found two relevant URLs pertaining to unlocking the phone.

Thing is,
A. I'm in good standing with Sprint so I can get it unlocked.
B. Dear god look at those instructions! I can unlock it manually, but dang man! That's scary if I go into a menu and screw things up, or worse, it doesn't unlock and I don't even know which step I messed up on. I've been flashing for years, I'm not a newbie.

I need help with:
A. helping me know which stock from to flash. I came from lollipop.
B. while keeping my recovery if possible. He wants my CM12.1, so I will back it up and then restore it.
C. Do I need to flash any modems/basebands? I'm confused. I have
L720PUGOD2 currently.

So
1. Backup cm12.1
2. flash lollipop stock
3.call Sprint, get UICC unlock
they will domestic unlock it right?
4. Then I can get back to the cm12.1 on my own.
Is that correct? From what I read, CDMA straight talk
So hopefully it's that easy. My buddy want the phone working asap so I would really appreciate an opinion from a pro. Thanks!

Noob Question. How to flash from Internal Storage?

This is my first phone that only has only internal storage. I need to double check before flashing any custom roms. Is there a partition on the phone that you guys save the custom roms to or does it not matter. I was thinking about saving it to the DCIM folder since its easy to find. My fear is that the rom will get erased when we clear the cache throught Teamwin recovery. Btw my phone is bootloader unlocked, rooted and has tw recovery installed. Tia.

Help, series of unfortunate noob events messed up my GT-N5120

Hello everyone,

Welcome to a series of unfortunate noob events;

All I wanted was to set my default storage to SD, since my Samsung Note 8 GT-N5120 only had 16 gb of internal memory.
I am aware that with my device, I can move apps to SD, but only a part of it gets moved, a huge chunk still stays in the internal memory (i.e 60 mb of an app goes to sd and 100mb of an app stays in memory).

So I searched online and all signs lead to rooting, in order to tweak my device to its fullest ;therefore, making the feature I want available at my disposal. And so I did, I followed tutorials correctly, from usb debugging mode to using odin. SuperSU was there and I downloaded Root Checker just to verify.

My device was working perfectly, but during bootup instead of a screen that shows the android with a pirate patch, it shows a static white screen before going into the samsung logo screen. I've searched through the forums and found out that other GT-N5120 owners had the same problem as well. It was no big deal and I didn't mind.

After that I searched online on things to do after rooting my device. It says install a CWM for better recovery options than what the stock recovery offers, so I did I used this tutorial: droidviews.com/root-and-install-cwm-on-samsung-galaxy-note-8-0-gt-n5100-gt-n5110-gt-n5120-all-models/

Everything was fine and I thought I was getting the hang of this thing, so I moved on to the next step and downloaded ROM Manager, to use a Custom ROM, I used this tutorial: androidtipsz.com/how-to-install-a-custom-rom-on-your-android-phone-using-rom-manager

This part got hazy,
ROM Manager asked me what version of CWM I am using and the options were: 2.0 or 5.x+, I picked the latter
and I was all set,I just needed a Custom ROM to use I picked Paranoid Android. Went to their site downloaded the .zip file that corresponds to my device and used ROM Manager to flash Paranoid Android, but it got to a screen that says my .zip file is for GT-N5120 your device is GT-N5110, which was weird because anywhere I checked on the device (including ROM manager, except when it gets to the said screen) says my device is GT-N5120.

This where the unorthodox noob of myself comes in:
Without hesitation I downloaded the Paranoid Android .zip for GT-N5110 and flashed it with ROM Manager. It worked, the tab still boots and Paranoid Android is running, but the tab got laggy and Google Store stopped running and Email stopped running and because of that, no games would work. SuperSU and ROM Manger didn't open too, I forgot the message tho. Keep in mind I did all this WITHOUT BACKING UP MY FILES igotrektnub :crying:

I looked everywhere for a solution to revert without deleting all my files, Ive decided to download the Stock Rom for GT-N5120, the only problem was there were GT-N5120 Stock Roms from different regions, I think that my tablet was from the Sweden Region so I went ahead and downloaded that.

Question#1
Should the Stock Rom I use be region specific? If so how would I check which region my device came from?

So I went to Odin Mode again and flashed this MD5 file:N5120XXDNE4_N5120AUTDNF1_N5120XXDNE4_HOME.tar
it was ok but it got stuck on system.img for a good 2 hours or so? So I did the unthinkable, turn off the device...

After that every time I turn on my device it just boots to the white static screen and never gets past it, I can still go to download mode and recovery mode, but thats about it. I think my recovery mode went back to stock. I tried flashing the root files CF_Auto but it didnt do anything, the same for the CWM, I went into recovery mode factory reset and data wipe and cache wipe, but it still wont get pass the static white screen.

Please help, Ive read somewhere that as long as it still boots download mode, it can still be fixed. :fingers-crossed::(

I just got htc wildfire s i managed to get it rooted and install some cwm version.For some reason i can't install any rom it might be cuz i don't have s-off can someone help me do it i tried some tutorials from here but nothing happens like EVER.I tried to update the phone but it just get stuck at some android logo >.>.
