Best ROM for stability

I've been running CM since about March this year, still have numerous glitches
Random reboots, lag, newest problem is a loud continious noise from the speaker that requires me to reboot the phone

Im considering a full wipe and reinstall of the latest version of CM12.1

Coming from a Nexus device, I hoped CM on my G3 would be 'stable' now, and pretty bug free, its still annying having to play with CPU governors etc. CM keeps getting changes, but I see very little change on my phone. I would rather efforts went into fixing these bugs than new features.

Can anyone recommend the any particular ROMs ? Dont want to go away from CM, but its driving me crazy now!

I've been trying to find an Adblock for my Moto X Pure that blocks internet and youtube ad. What is the best one? I searched and it said Adaway was the best, but youtube still comes up with ads

best way to update rooted N6 ?

My N6 is rooted, SuperSU and TWRP. On build LYZ28J and want to update to LYZ28K.

It seems I have 3 ways to do this:

1. Use settings in SuperSU to fully unroot, AND flash the LYZ28J recovery.img to replace TWRP. Then I can take the OTA. After that I can rerun the Chainfire Autoroot script and flash TWRP. So i'm updated with no data loss.

2. Flash the factory image. No need to unroot or remove TWRP, but all data is lost. And I still need to reroot and reflash TWRP. Correct ?

3. sideload the ota zip. Just run adb sideload <ota.zip> . No need to unroot . My problem here is that the only place I found with the ota zip is on Droid Life, not a google url. I like Droid Life, read it all the time, but still... Does anyone have a google url link to the OTA ?

Is there another method?

How are others upgrading? Is #3 as easy as I described ?

Best (fast) custom ROM for jellybean

Hi all,

I'm fairly new to Android and flashing my device and use it primarily for playing one freemium mobile game and streaming sports to my smart tv. The mobile game I play is called Marvel War of Heroes and a lot of the top players there use Android Jellybean as the way the back button works means you can perform attacks faster and rack up quicker points.

I'm currently using the latest Lollipop and fully rooted and my scores are good but not the best and I wanted to improve these by rolling back to jelly bean and trying out this nifty trick. It worked fine but the speed of my device in operating the other functions was so significantly slower under jelly bean that I ended up flashing it with lollipop again and getting sllightly frustrated.

I later learned about custom roms and thought maybe a slick, stripped down version of jelly bean optimised would make my device run a little faster and so I'm here! Anyone have any suggestions on a custom rom for the second gen Nexus 2013 (Wifi only) that would suit my needs?

All suggestions gratefully received and congrats to the community on an informative and useful forum, I've already repaired several tricky situations as I noobed my way around flashing and rooting my device thanks to the advice here.

best way to get rid of bloatware and unlock mobile hotspot in Galaxy S4 SCH-I545

I recently bought a Verizon S4 in the US and am using it back at home in latin america. I want to get rid of the verizon pre installed apps, the verizon bootscreen and be able to unlock the mobile hotspot option.

Right now I have the 5.0.1 Android version with the I545VRUGOF1 Build.

What would be the best way to go? flash it with other rom? in that case witch one would you recommend? I like lollipop if possible I would like to keep it but my main goal is to delete the bloatware and enable the mobile hotspot.

Best PC Android emulator Poll

After a week testing all the Android emulators i could, i've visited the forum looking for some feedback about it and the last post i've found is this one about Andy: link. I would like to know some updated impressions as this field is changing every day.

I've personally tried DuOS, Andy, Bluestacks, GenyMotion, YouWave and Jar of Beans. For my experience, the best in performance are by far DuOS and Andy, in that order, but as Andy is free, it should be at the top of free emulators. Anyways, my purpose using the emulator was stream games on Twitch and i'm having issues with all of them when they are opened at the same time as OBS is running (they stop working sometimes). The only one that works perfectly with OBS is Bluestacks, but that's one of the worst in performace.

- What's your experience using Android emulators and whats your favourite? (answer in the poll if you want)
- Have you ever streamed Android content with them using OBS?
