Best phone for music.

Best stuff to play music (I feel) are:
1) Beats Audio HTC Devices
2) HTC One M8 Harman Kardon Edition
3) Marshall London
4) ZTE Axon
5) Ipods? (Not sure)
....
Advantages:
1) Beats - Heavy Bass music like EDM, Dubstep, etc
2) Harman Kardon - Clari-Fi i for increase in low-resolution tracks (MP3s and the like) with more detail, depth, and richness, LiveStage for quality and feel of a live performance.
3) Marshall London - Not reviewed
4) ZTE Axon - Better than Beats (Not sure)

So which from these are just a gimmick?
Which one is the best all-rounder?

What are the opinions from you guys?

bluetooth radio not starting music player

On previous phones, when the phone was attached to my car radio via bluetooth, and I switched my car radio (pioneer AVIC8100) to bluetooth mode, a music player (usually the last one used) would start running on the phone and start playing a track.

With this note 5, this isn't happening. BT connects fine, but the music player doesn't start at all.

If I run the music player myself (tapping on the screen) then everything works normally - therefore the problem isn't in the pairing or that "media player" isn't selected. (I know XDA users.. 50 people are still going to suggest that I make sure that I have "media audio" turned on in the BT settings even AFTER reading that media playing works fine if I spawn it manually.)

Anyone have any ideas?

(Please resist the urge to reply sarcastically. This issue is really starting to annoy me and my sense of humor in regards to it is GONE.)

Music and video problems with LG G Stylo (Boost)

I've been having a problem since I got my LG G Stylo from Boost. When watching videos and listening to music using any app capable of doing so, the video or music will pause itself randomly and after a bit it will start playing again or it will play after I manually un-pause it. I'm not sure what's causing it. I know some newer and more expensive phones have features that will pause video if the phone detects that you aren't looking at it but these features usually apply to video, not music and even at that my phone doesn't seem to have that feature as I cannot locate a setting control for it. This happens in any app that can play video including videos played in Chrome and it happens in any app that is capable of music playback, which the only two I have are the native music app and Google Play Music. I've read on the internet that it could be caused by another app on my phone but I don't have any apps capable of doing this. I've also read that this can happen when switching networks but my phone is on WiFi most of the time and only switches to 4G when leaving the house which isn't that often. I don't see any reason why this would be happening. I've never had this problem with any other phone and I don't really have any apps on this phone that I didn't have on my last phone. Note that this is my first phone running Lollipop (5.1.1) and I'm starting to think that Android itself is the culprit but I'm not sure. I recently rooted my phone but the problem existed before that and I had the phone for over a month before I attempted root. This is really annoying and I'd like to be able to fix it so anything helps, thanks.

Car Connectivity and Default Music Player

Hello

can some one please help me, im not sure this is even doable but basically when i get in my car it automatically connect my nexus 6 to the car to use as a phone and music player.

Car is an Audi a5 if that make any difference.

everything works great with regards to the phone. and no auto start music which some people get but what i am getting is wheni switch to media and start the phone streaming it opens Google Music Player. can i change this on anyway to start Spotify? i know it wont show the different play lists but just want it to start last played play list

Do I have to root to better the music quality?

I received my Moto G yesterday and I love it, but I miss the bass I got from my Galaxy S2...
I use Rocket Player and when I turn up the bass, it get's a weird fake bass which sounds worse than without.
That happened on the S2 as well, but when I changed to Cyanogenmod it sounded great.
Do I have to flash a custom rom on my Moto G to get that, or is there some way to achieve that without losing warranty :S?

Music app album art

Ok so I have a small problem that I'd really like fixed, I have a folder with 40 songs all properly tagged and album arted, however when I play them they all have the same album art of first one. I know they are properly set because I tried on Pc. Already tried deleting data in music app. Please help ty

Samsung Galaxy S6 Music Player Problem

When I try to play a song, I get a message saying "Sorry, this player does not support this type of file."

When I restart my phone, It works for a little bit, but then the problem resumes.
I am 100% positive that my phone volume is up, and ALL of my music files are MP3.

Adding files from NAS to Music Library

Hello everyone,

I have been trying to find some current information from this, but all of the options out there seem to be from older iterations of Android. Currently I'm running a Nexus 7 (2013) with 5.0 Lollipop. I'm trying to add music files from my NAS drive (WD My Cloud) to my tablet's music library so that I can use it with Google Now (basically attempting a variation of Amazon Echo). Unfortunately, all of the music apps that Google Now recognizes do not recognize any NAS enabled music apps. I've tried CIFS and Mount Manager, but they don't seem to work anymore. Can anyone let me know if I can still mount an NAS drive to my local storage or if there is some other solution that would allow me to say "OK Google, play ****** by ********" and it play the file of my NAS? Thank you.

Phone restarts & Music stops working

Got my new Note 5 last week and rooted it, the guide I followed worked but someone in the comments said their phone was restarting occasionally especially during phone calls (saw this late)

So, everything went fine and now some time the phone will just restart on its own for no reason, it was literally sitting on my desk and decided to restart, it has happened a lot of times and also when I plug my headphones in to listen to music and i put it in my pocket it just gets stuck and i hear a constant sound and then it just cuts off and phone lags for a good minute and everything goes back to normal except the music sound, even after its turned up and music is playing i dont hear anything, i have to restart my phone for it to work again.

This is on a Canadian Bell Note 5 (N920W8)

So my question: Is there anyway to prevent this music/restarting problem while still maintaining root status?

Google Play Music 3x1 Widget

I've done some searching and can't find an answer to this.

With the most recent update to Google Play Music app, the 3x1 widget is no longer re-sizeable for me. Previously, it would re-size to show a large album art picture, now, no matter what size I make it, the album art icon stays small and to the left of the music controls.

Has anyone else seen this or can someone else test to see if they have the same experience?

Music lowering randomly

Im on a note 4 and i use poweramp for music. But it just lowers randomly when im connected with my moto 360 for some reason

I was on the Arcadia rom when it happened. Flashed a new rom (firekat) and same thing

Not sure why this happens. I even factory reset the watch
Any ideas?

Smartwatch not connecting with Play Music

I have had my SW3 for some time now. I use it mainly to run with so I don't have to bring my phone (galaxy s4). I have had music on the watch for months. Recently I was having an issue with the watch dropping connection with the phone. I did a factory reset on the watch and everything seemed fine. My notifications are working and it is not dropping connection anymore. However, when I go to the Play Music app to reload my music, the watch says the Phone is disconnected. I went to the Google Play Music app on my phone and checked to make the download to Android wear box is checked. Check and recheck but the watch still says the same. I have deleted and reinstalled Android Wear on my phone several times as well as done a factory reset on my watch multiple times. Occasionally the watch will say that Google Play Services is required but I checked and they are on my phone. What else can be done? I am extremely miffed because running without my phone is the main reason I got the SW3.

No longer able to select Save Downloaded Music To External card in Google Play Music

The field is grayed out. Any ideas? I already uninstalled updates and reupdated. Did that because album art was not showing for the past few days.

Sony Music app unable to read songs in sd card

Hi,

The sony album app can read my pictures on the sd card just fine but the music app seemed to not be able to. It was able to last week. Might it be because of the sep 4 update that I installed? I tried to:

1. reinstall the app


2. delete the app cache


3. delete all cache


4. check for .nomedia files inside the Music folder (I have my music placed in a 'Music' folder in the top location of the sd card)


5. remount sd card

anyone else having this problem or most probably it is just me?

Play Music memory leak

I've been listening to Play Music for a couple days, and I found a disturbing fact; a memory leak. For every song I listen to, the size of the app data goes up a few MB and after a few songs it has skyrocketed to 150 MB. I don't know how to fix this, and my phone has only 1.27 GB of storage. Any help would be appreciated. [emoji26]

Dark play music please
