OTA Error LG G Stylo

So I recently rooted my phone which is on Android 5.0.2 (T Mobile LG-H631) , and unrooted it using universal unroot since supersu wouldn't unroot my phone for me, and now i want to ota update the phone but when when i do, it starts to say installing update, but ends up with an android bot and error written underneath. I'm new to the rooting world and regret rooting since i know little about flashing roms and such, and with that being said, would like a not too difficult solution for my problem. Thanks!

Music and video problems with LG G Stylo (Boost)

I've been having a problem since I got my LG G Stylo from Boost. When watching videos and listening to music using any app capable of doing so, the video or music will pause itself randomly and after a bit it will start playing again or it will play after I manually un-pause it. I'm not sure what's causing it. I know some newer and more expensive phones have features that will pause video if the phone detects that you aren't looking at it but these features usually apply to video, not music and even at that my phone doesn't seem to have that feature as I cannot locate a setting control for it. This happens in any app that can play video including videos played in Chrome and it happens in any app that is capable of music playback, which the only two I have are the native music app and Google Play Music. I've read on the internet that it could be caused by another app on my phone but I don't have any apps capable of doing this. I've also read that this can happen when switching networks but my phone is on WiFi most of the time and only switches to 4G when leaving the house which isn't that often. I don't see any reason why this would be happening. I've never had this problem with any other phone and I don't really have any apps on this phone that I didn't have on my last phone. Note that this is my first phone running Lollipop (5.1.1) and I'm starting to think that Android itself is the culprit but I'm not sure. I recently rooted my phone but the problem existed before that and I had the phone for over a month before I attempted root. This is really annoying and I'd like to be able to fix it so anything helps, thanks.

Continue only if you have messed with the /system partition (and don't remember what you changed) and you are on 5.1.1 this will remove root but you will keep your data

Okay well now

1. Make sure you have a Windows PC


2. Download the LG Drivers from here


3. Download this 5.1.1 System.img


4. Place downloaded img to your external SD via adapter or through a spare phone you have


5. Now place SD back into your phone


6. Reboot your device into download mode


7. Download this folder and unzip it to your desktop:


8. Run ports.bat from within the extracted folder, to find your correct port (use the one with: LGVZANDNETDIAG1)


9. In the LG_Root folder hold shift and right click and choose open command windows here


10. Type

    ---

    Send_Command.exe \.\COM6

    ---

    
    
    (Make sure your COM port number is correct, it varies)


11. Type

    dd if=/storage/external_SD/system.img bs=8192 seek=42816 count=327680 of=/dev/block/mmcblk0

    you will see a flashing _ line instead of the # let it do it's thing you will know it finished when the # shows back up

    LEAVE

    and press enter and let your device reboot

Build.Prop tweaks working for most on LG G Stylo

okay so i thought i'd make this thread over here as well since i'm hosting my threads on both XDA and AF

just a quick copy and paste :P

Here are some build.prop tweaks that i have tried out, there are plenty of ways to edit the build.prop file i personally use root browser (file explorer) which has a RB Text editor

Does your phone tell you that you need to purchase an upgrade to your plan whenever you try and tether? Depending on your carrier, this line may help:

Sprint LG G Stylo worse than bricked

I was messing around with the 3c Toolbox and, like an idiot, I skipped a backup step before trying to unlock the SD card (or something, I don't remember and there's no way to check [read on]).

I lost access to my SD card and couldn't find the file that I was supposed to rename to regain access (which is why I think I skipped a step), so I thought that maybe I could factory reset my phone and it would fix the problem.

Now not only can I not access ANY SD card I put in my phone, it also doesn't recognize the "internal SD card", the Google Play Store won't open, and it keeps saying there's not enough memory or "no SD card" to download any APKs from the internet.

Am I going to have to send in my phone and get it replaced? Or is there a way to fix this problem without being able to download anything onto my phone or SD card directly or over USB?

LG G Stylo Cricket Root

Hello just curious about whether anyone has done the root for the LG G Stylo on Cricket provider. I need a root because the phone only has 8gb of internal storage and need a way to work around this through the root! Please and thank you!!

(LG G STYLO) Permanent Unlock Issue

So I've been waiting to permanently Unlock my LG G STYLO, however when I go to device Unlock app, it says my device is not compatible to try again later or contact customer service. Turns out I can't have my phone rooted and ask for a permanent unlock. I know its just so I can switch carriers. Did anybody find another way to unlock your phone with root? I have metropcs.

How to root LG G Stylo Cricket?

So I got a LG G Stylo from the cricket store and I tried rooting it several times, but to no luck. I was wondering if anyone has a rooting method for an LG G Stylo from cricket, and if not, is anyone currently working on it?

So everybody with the LG G STYLO has this update! How can I update my phone without a computer? I am rooted and I am on 5.1.1 I have recovery and root. Is there a way I can flash a zip containing the update and maybe flash another zip for the kernel and firmware update?!
