Replacing volume and power flex cable help

My volume and power buttons recently began sticking almost to the point of not working, I tried sucking on them but they never got any better, so I ordered a new flex cable for the volume and power buttons and when I went to install it I realized I wasnt sure how to connect the two cables together. There was a small orange piece of tape I removed while disassembling the phone which I believe held it on but now that I have removed it it's no longer usable, I am wondering if I may be missing how to properly reconnect them or if they really do just sit on the pins with adhesive. Has anyone attempted this repair or have anymore information on it?

Flash stock rom without cable?

I'm still on 5.0, but I really want 5.1.
The problem though, is that my usb input connector got damaged, and the PC doesn't connect correctly to the phone. Software update by phone doesn't work, since it is rooted and it tells me the software isn't legit, even though it's on stock (+root).

Is there a way to get it to update without my PC? I also want stock before I send in my phone to repair (I also got another problem, and I still have my warranty, which I might lose if it's still rooted).

edit: also, ODIN mobile is not available for the Note 4 iirc

OTG Cable Works With Moto X Pure Edition

Just thought I would let you guys know, I have a OnePlus OTG (on the go) micro USB to USB cable, works 100% with the Moto X pure edition. In case you don't want everything on a micro SD card or something, this is a nice alternative.

Curious about sync cable issue

I had to replace my g3 from asurion recently. I have aa 8ft heavy duty braided gold connector sync cable that worked fine with my last phone. (G3 Skydragon 4.0). The cable didn't work with my replacement, that is until i rooted and flashed Skydragon 5.0. Just thought it was weird. Any thoughts on this issue?

Just wondering before I buy a oneplus 2 does the cable work on every other USB charger plug like all android phones? I'll have to order a non UK plug but if I don't even need to use the supplies charger and can just plug the cable into another one it'll be perfect

I know that is possible but I can't make it, becouse I'm newbie.

At work, I have Wi-Fi. Somehow I want to get this WI-FI trafic, only for my Google Chrome portable version in my PC and I need it to make secured.
I have meizu mx4 phone. I tried to emulate linux on it, using "Linux deploy" and using adb reverse tcp, to conect with putty to it. But, I failed with squid proxy, it will not work, and I think it's becouse of my phone, couse it's Android based on Flyme.

So if anyone have ideea, how to do that, please help.

So that's what I have: Phone, usb calbe, Wi-fi at work, PC and if it's helpful for me to secure trafic (vpn at home, from my router).
I need step by step to made it. Or if you don't have time to say it, just give me a link were I can read some info, or in general what should I do.

[HELP] Cannot connect to PC using usb cable.

I have Lumia 930 with W10M ....yesterday,i deployed "root app" and "CustomPFD" .xaps to my device...to get Interop Unlock and Full FS Access,but i think i do something what i shouldnt do...

My probles is: when i connect my device to PC using same USB cable as yesterday an any other day....it just pop up messenge about slow charger,normalny its pop up if i wanna use cable to move items and stuff from/to my device...but now i just cannot connect my L930 to PC....it just charges my phone...can u guys please tell me how to solve this problem??

Left angle Micro USB OTG cable with charging

So I am trying to put a Nexus 7 into my car and my setup is a little different. Many people have used OTG cables with power to be able to play music via DAC while still charging their tablet. My only issue is there is no room for a USB cable to stick out of the tablet unless it is angled. Every single OTG cable WITH power that I can find is straight out. I have found left angled ones that do not have power but not one that has both power and the angle. The setup I am wanting to do is basically this (not mine):

The only difference is I need it left angled. So, I have 2 options:

1. Find an OTG with power that is left angled. So far I have failed at this. I found ones that will power the attached device, but not the tablet.
2. Can I put a normal USB left angled cable into the tablet and then plug an OTG with power into that? I assume by putting a regular USB cable in the middle, the OTG stuff would not work, yes? So I would a need a left angled micro to micro USB OTG with power cable for this option to work... which seems even less likely to find.

Am I missing an easier method here?

Looking for a memory expansion cable

I have been looking for a way to expand storage on my Note 5. It would seem quite easy to fabricate a short extension cable. One end would be a low-profile right-angle micro-usb connector such as those used in the stand-alone NFC charging coils. A short ribbon cable could then wrap around the back of the phone, terminating in a micro-sd socket. It would be a simple matter to install this and tuck it into the back such that a skin could hold it securely against the back of the phone.

I am surprised that I cannot find such a device anywhere. It would not be difficult to build if one could find the parts, but I have been unable to locate a source for the micro-sd connector. Note that those attached to NFC coils only have power pins, so they are not usable.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Xperia Play, Broken FLEX cable/ Any uses for it?

Hello everyone! I have a Xperia Play with broken flex cable laying around the house, I don'twant to repairit because it is the second flex cable already and I've bought another phone. I want to use it to do something, anything! Like Wireless Signal Repeater, or to controlit somehow from pc. The problem is that something else broke and I don't know what. If u guys know how to flash anything useful to it, I am really happy to try.
