URGENT HELP. CM11 keeps rebooting itself

Hello everyone,

I'm using a rooted Samsung s3 I9300 with CM 11. I've had CM11 for over a year now and it hasn't really caused my any problem. But lately it keeps rebooting itself. The weird thing is that it only happens when I have my WiFi or data turned on. If I turned those off then it doesn't reboot. It's stucked in a constant rebooting loop when I have WiFi or data on.

I've tried changing batteries/shutting down the whole phone for more than half an hour and then turning it on. It still happens.

I would honestly appreciate if any of you can provide a solution. It's very urgent as I uses my phone for many things mainly for my work. Hopefully you guys can give me a hand. Thank you.

Regards,
thatasiankid

Warning: CM11 and 12 don't work with the latest versions of TWRP and Philz touch

The short story: I tried to update from CM11 to CM12 snapshot on 9/1/2015, but every CM based ROM would get stuck at CM boot logo, and this is true with the latest TWRP and latest Philz, along with the snapshot CM recovery provided at the official download page. After downgrading to TWRP 2.6.3.0 at the suggestion of http://forum.xda-developers.com/note...2972922/page32, I got it working.

The long story:

I tried to update to CM12 over the air from CM11. That didn't work, as my philz touch recovery just boot directly back to CM11. It's too quick for me to see the install logs, but there was some error message like "can't install" etc.
So I thought maybe I need a different recovery, since the update notice does say "compatible recovery required" and I saw there is such a recovery in the CM download site.
I flashed cm12.1 snapshot recovery using flashify but I got stuck in a boot loop.
I then flashed the recovery using heimdall and that worked.
I then flashed cm12.1 snapshot using the cm recovery, but that was stuck on the cm logo for at least 4 hours before I shut it down.
I then tried a couple more times and it's the same thing.
I installed other cm11 versions and they all get stuck on the logo (even though I came from cm11).
So I tried a different recovery, the latest version of twrp and long story short it's the same thing with cm roms.
Then I flashed back to philz touch (but I didn't realize that I flashed the latest version) and it's the same thing.
Even after I restored a previous backup, the cm11 rom wouldn't boot up.
At the end I was able to use odin to flash back to stock.
I can also flash rwilco's NE2 based ROM.
I have also tried cyanideL, which is CM12 based and it gets stuck too.

Finally I found the post mentioned above and downgrading to TWRP 2.6.3.0 worked.

Hopefully this post will help someone down the road.

Has anyone gotten this problem? The person who posted this has been the only one having this problem. This can't be a rare thing, is it? Is everyone just dealing with this issue until it gets fixed?

[CM11] FM radio

According to the bug list (http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...postcount=1039), the bug #19 (FM radio is giving no sound) should be fixed in latest Quarx builds.
Anyhow I have just installed KitKat in my Defy+ and I cannot let the FM work (last nightly build).
BTW, bluetooth is deactivated.
The FM radio opens normally, the channel search is performed, but no sound is emitted...
Is there anyone having the same issue?

HELP PLZ! How to Install CM11 on AT&T Fire Phone 3.5.0

Okay, so I sat down and was gearing up to install CM11 on this well valued phone.

I loaded up:
https://www.reddit.com/r/firephone/c...modslimkat_on/
As they have the easiest directions to follow and I turned on my phone. To my surprise, the firmware I saw was nothing like the ones in the directions. My firmware simply read "Fire OS .5.0"

I clicked check for update and then it started downloading 4.6.4, which I quickly turned off the wifi to avoid any issues.

The phone is an AT&T variant which I'm using on AT&T. What is needed to load CM11 at this point?

I tried looking for methods to manually update to 4.3.1 but I hear about white screens and crashes etc.

Can anyone advise a noob on how to proceed right now? Itching to play with the phone with CM and would like to tackle this tonight if possible!

CM11 / SlimKat issues, restore stock?

Hello everyone,

I installed CM11 (then SlimKat) on my daughter's new Fire phone (she's 11, today's her birthday and this was a present) and I thought everything was great except that the camera is busted. All non-flash photos are really dark and all flash photos are super bright. I've used Open Camera and a handful of other third party apps but they all work (or don't) the same.

Now for the boneheaded move. I did not back up the stock ROM and I don't know how to go back to stock so my daughter will have a decent camera. I see that the flashable stock ROM thread says only flash from 4.6.1, I'm on CM11. Help!!! Thanks.

Change from CM11 (4.4KK) to Omega ROM (4.3 JB)

I would like to change the ROM in my Xperia T from CM11 (based on 4.4 KK) to Omega ROM (based on 4.3 JB). How could I install this ROM ? Are the any tutorial to downgrade from 4.4 to 4.3 for Xperia T ?. Also the CWM I have is V6 and I have checked that this ROM requires the CWM V7 or V8 to do installation. Where could I get it ? Thanks in advance.

[ROM] crDroid 4.4.4 [Unofficial] [cm11 based]

crDroid is a ROM based (mainly) on CyanogenMod with inclusions of others great projects such as SlimKat,

OmniRom, AOSPA and many others. crDroid is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android

for your device also attempting to bringing many of the best features existent today.

Code:

#include
/*
 * Your warranty is now void.
 *
 * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
 * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
 * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
 * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
 * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
 */

I have builded this rom by taking cm11 as base. But not tested this rom on Galaxy Y as I don't have it. So, I want a tester to report bugs if there are some. It would surely boot as for Galaxy Ace (s5830i) it booted up.
