trying to root LG G watch

trying to root LG G Watch as per the video on the root page. but when i request SU access, all it says is

shell@dory:/ $

where it should say

root@dory:/ #

not sure where i went wrong, but if someone can advise me it would be great.

also, i apologise if this has been covered
