Question concerning development.

So I made the mistake of dropping into the OP2 forum to see how development was going over there and was surprised to see a tasty selection of roms and kernels already. With the invite system and delays it actually left me a little worried. Mainly because in my eyes the camera and lack of NFC and SD card make make the OP2 the obvious inferior device. So my question is what do developers look for in a device? Specs certainly but the Pure is certainly right there. With the stigma surrounding the 810 you might even give the edge to the Pure. I wonder how much the Nexus 6 is/will hurt sales of the X Pure. I mean let's be honest here, the Pure is just a slightly upgraded Nexus 6. I knew this coming from my 6 but I really just wanted the better camera. Hoping this device attracts some plenty of developers because it is a worthy device.
