After posting on another forum with detailed information for days and only getting a sarcastic remark I am posting on here hopefully you can help me more. I have a ASUS N66W router connected to 5ghz. I tried upgrading and downgrading firmware and even changing the wireless antennas. Rebooted and reset to factory. I have not tried 2.4ghz because normally I can't even print wireless on there are so many networks in my area over 70 that it is very slow on every device.
When I try to stream music using TuneIn radio and higher bitrate streams 320kbps they play for a few minutes and then start to buffer. I then try to open webpages and they stall and my speedtests show 0.01mb with 1800ms ping. If I wait a few minutes it is fast again. I end up streaming music on T-Mobile LTE with no issues. Everything loads fast. Most of the services I subscribe to include music freedom except TuneIn so I only tested it for about 10 minutes but no buffering but with Wifi on constant buffering after only a few minutes. Now if I keep my Nexus 6 plugged in I also get no buffering on Wifi. Also my Nexus 5 (2013) and Nexus 7 (2013) all stock Android 5.1.1 no issues either.
I am on my wits end here. Googling lead me nowhere except for wasteful links like "10 Android Nexus 5.1.1 Problems and how to fix them" and believe it or not my rant post on the other android post copied on other unrelated links. Google really you can't suck any more. Bing search was better leading me to this forum but really no solution either. Any help would be nice. I see that this is a issue that started with T-Mobile when they added Wifi calling in 5.1.1 which I have off anyway.
