help with flashing android revolution 43 - stuck on bootloader

Hi guys.

So i purchased a used M8 from ozmobiles.com and when it came it had some kind of chinese os and a weird recovery on it as well
so i decided to flash with android revolution

these were my steps

unlocked phone using complete guide to flashing and htc dev site
flashed twrp custom recovery
flashed android revolution using twrp

edit: i also made sure to check the md5 checksum on all the files downloaded

according to the logs everything was succesful however when i rebooted i just get stuck in a loop into fastboot
ill type out what the fastboot screen says if its helpful

software status: modified

what have i done wrong?
do i possible have a fake m8?
i figured the htc dev site would have picked up on that during the unlock process....
