Help with ADB Push [Never Finishing]

When I use my CMD to push over a ROM to my HTC Desire 816 while it is in recovery (because it's soft bricked right now) it just kind of... never loads.
I've waited 1.. 2.. 5.. 10 minutes and its only 250 MB. I don't think this is right could I get some help?
