Camera Gallery

I just noticed something weird happened. When take pictures, it saves in the camera folder. I can view it from the phone. But when I plug that to my pc through a usb cable, I don't see that pic in that folder.
But I can only view it from the phone. How do I fix that.

Not sure if this has been posted before. If you don't like the Google Photos app than install Cynogenmod gallery. Much nicer in my opinion. Just download the Apk and install. No root needed.

I had been badly missing Motorola Camera with its cool UI onto custom ROMs. I just remembered my 1st gen had a port of it for CM12. So I attempt it for OSPREY running CM12.1 by squid2 and it runs perfectly fine :D Now this fulfills my most missed thing from stock ROM. If you do, then you would like to try this out.

Visit original thread linked above and download the one from GOOGLE link with filename as "MotoAppsMaterialGoogle2.zip". Flash it via twrp recovery.

Help on locked gallery image

I moved an image folder to my SD card which contains my locked images to save space in my internal storage.
When I try to open the locked images in gallery it doesn't show those images so I returned back the folder to its original directory which is in internal storage inside gallery folder.
How do I retrieve/show again in gallery all images that are locked?

Default Photo app change from "Gallery" to "Google Photos"

I have a ton of pictures that i've taken over the years. They are all accessible through google photos. When I take new photos they are automatically backed up to google photos. So, all is well there...

My problem is this. When I want to upload a photo to facebook, set a contact photo, or pretty much access a photo or video through any application it automatically opens "Gallery". Is there ANY way to change the default app to "Google Photos" or at least show the Google Photos in "Gallery"? It's driving me crazy!

Other than that, I'm loving my S6 Edge+!! :D

(Q) Can I delete Stock Samsung Gallery

I'm using G530H running on lollipop 5.0.2. I think I'm a fan of sony's stock gallery and I don't think having both of sony and samsung stock gallery in my grand prime would be efficient. So I'm thinking of deleting the stock samsung gallery. Will it be okay? I mean will it cause bootloop or any bad effect for my device?

Missing Gallery

Rookie warning!

Hi all - Was a follower years ago then took a stop in the iUniverse, jumped out of it to a Note 3 which I didn't root and now a Verizon G4 which is rooted with Xposed (very nice work there). I've searched literally days for an existing solution to this problem but haven't found anything.

I'm a generally competent user of tech but really don't know what I'm doing beyond user level. That said, the root and Xposed installations were straightforward. The first thing I did once rooted was find a couple "low risk debloat" posts with long followings and froze a bunch of services and apps. General phone functioning was only for the better, though I'm having a couple lower level issues.

My camera functions properly, but the Gallery widget bottom right goes nowhere. Opening the Gallery app, I get the message "No files" though there are photos in the device and sd card DCIM/Camera folders in ES File Explorer. My gmail/drive/google photos apps on the phone and pc do talk to each other somewhat - older photos cross-pollinate but none of the new stuff.

I have thawed everything I froze and reset app preferences to default.

In google photos, I go 'add folder' to show it where to look and no folders appear on the file system, none. The PC doesn't see new pix. I can open photos in ES File Ex to the Gallery individually but can't swipe to the next photo and if I go back to the Gallery app directly same message "No files".

Some permission somewhere seems to be tripped but I can't for the life of me figure out what it is. I've loaded QuickPic and CAN find the folders I need on there - they do work initially but if I power the phone down then back on the folders are again missing.

Gallery Problem... Moto G XT1068

someday ago am update the new gallery apk on play store.. but this one cant show thumbnail preview (Grid mode) on all folders.. Only one album is visible at a time. Earlier all the albums were visible. Have to select from side bar.. Very tedious.. anyone please send the downgraded version on gallery apk ...

Sprint s4 gallery apk lollipop

Hello, all. I am stock rooted on non spark s4 running lollipop. When I updated to OD2, the gallery app started not working at all so I deleted but need to download it again. The photos and quick pic apps are not working out for me. Can anyone please send me a link to the correct apk?

PNG Images Appear Blurry in Gallery

Hi,

It seems that whenever I import PNG images to my phone, they appear blurry and pixelated whenever I view them in the gallery. However, they look fine on my computer and in Google Drive (whenever I upload it). This issue didn't arise until I updated to 5.0.2, and I thought it was going to be a one time thing, but still, the images appear blurry and pixelated. Zooming in and out of the photo doesn't help, either.

Does anyone know how to solve this problem? Nearly half of my photos are in PNG, and I'm pretty sure converting them all to JPEG will take a long time (and it will be quite a hassle, too).

I've attached sample photos of my problem (don't judge. I have my own likes, too :o). First photo is when it is viewed in the gallery app, and the second photo is when it has been uploaded to Google Drive. It's very weird, too, because my screenshots are all in PNG and are clear and sharp when viewed, and yet when other PNG images are viewed in the gallery, they appear pixelated.

How come I am not seeing my Picasa or Facebook photos in gallery. The only option is Verizon cloud which I am not using.

Photos in gallery tagged with GPS location

Hello All,

So Im looking at my photos in the gallery and they're tagged with GPS info.

I've checked the camera and it says the geo location is off. I've tried to enter settings in the gallery app but doesnt seem to be an option. I've also checked my geo location in other apps and everything is turned off.

Does anyone know why this could be or how to turn it off?

Hello, just wanted to share this package, it contains CameraNext with all the features working (i added libraries too, so everything should work) and GalleryNext from latest OnePlusOne Cyanogen OS 12.1 factory Image (THIS).

I made 2 packages, one that contains both CameraNext and GalleryNext, one with CameraNext only, both are flashable .zip's and they also contain the backup script, so they won't be deleted when you update your CyanogenMod ROM, i didn't test them on other ROMs because i only use CM12.1, so if you want to try them on an different AOSP ROM i won't give you support.

Those packages won't replace your stock Gallery and Camera, so they will still work and there won't be deleted libraries or .apk's

Gallery and Music Player not showing any picture nor music

sorry to post this thread is someone already have one, but I think my problem is different thing..
ok here is my problem,
first time this problem appear is when i copy new songs to my SD card, then when I checked my music player, my song got wiped off from list, then I go to file explorer my music is still there. Same goes as pic/video but when i take a photo with camera the photo shown in gallery but gone when I do media scanning
what I have done :
1.restart my phone
2.Unmount SD card
3.Restart my phone wihout SD card and then when phone already on mount SD card.
4.delete .nomedia file then re scan SD card
5. clear cache player/gallery
6.reinstall player/gallery

what should I do? i'll save format SD card and Flash my phone for last resort
and I am on stock rom BTW
