What are the unroot procedures with a custom Xperia based rom and locked bootloader?

Dear All,

i have been trying to unroot my phone to get the latest update of Lollipop on my A7, i followed the instruction and did full unroot from SuperSU app. After unrooting i checked my device status it showed me Custom and tried to update the phone and got the error of device is modified please try to update through samsung kies.

can you all please help me, i am stuck!!!

well thanks to help on this great forum I finally have twrp and root do i want to avoid updates now to keep root or will it stay rooted? im running 5.0.1

LG G2 .. How to unroot

I have VS980 ... I rooted phone through stumproot about a year ago.... the sofware version in my phone is the 26A currently and of coarse being rooted doesnt allow OTA firmware updates to be installed for 28A then Lollipop 39A: ... ive noticed about a week ago that my microphone on phone calls and google voice search have stopped working accept on speaker or bluetooth for phone calls and bluetooth only for voice search ... being the phone is running on 26A version, I believe it is a software upgrade issue because the phone still works on speaker ... now here are my questions if anybody can help me:

1) Is there a way to push the software update without losing root access ? ... I did however backup all files, contacts, pics, etc to verizon cloud in case unroot or factory restore is necessary
- if anyone can provide me with the links to do this or even to unroot the phone in worse case scenario so i can upgrade including any flash tools or or even if there is an updated mic driver I can
- is there just a simple way to update my microphone driver without affecting root?
- I have been researching this for past week and have a few links I have found accept I am unsure which tool kit would be necessary if any for this issue

Bricked Fire Phone after unroot.

While trying to get Android Pay to work I removed root from my phone using the option in Kingroot's menu and then restarted. Now FireOS doesn't load and doing a factory restart from recovery doesn't do anything either.

I thought I'd just sideload 4.6.3 and restart from scratch, but when I connect my phone in 'sideload from adb' mode from recovery I only get a "Fire" device in device manager. After a minute it gets an error "Device Cannot Start"

Manaully scanning for hardware changes doesn't give me my "Android Composite Device ADB Interface"

I have supposedly unrooted per SuperSU, Root Checker, TWRP and other apps HOWEVER xposed and Play Services still thinks I am rooted.

I have cleared the cache and dalvik cache but still same thing.

Nexus 5 Unroot Issues using Kingroot

Hi, so after I received lollipop 5.1.1, I rooted my phone. There is now an OTA update available so I unrooted it with Kingroot. However, even afterwards, I still cannot update . Please help

Unroot or Back to Stock?

I'm looking for some help/advice. I did search and didn't find anything on this although I would think it would have been covered before so my apologies if I missed it and it's already been answered.

I'm currently running Stang5Litre 5.0 OC1 V2 which I installed with Flashfire and I'm having a lot of issues with Good For Enterprise and it's root check. I can get it to work with Xposed as long as I stay on an old version of Good, but I've had two accidental upgrades that triggered a compliance failure and it's a long process with my work to get a new pin to get it going again. Using the detach from market in Titanium doesn't stick. I'm also interested in using Android Pay and can't get that to work at all. So I'm now considering getting rid of root. There isn't that much I do anymore that truly requires a rooted phone other than I really like being able to get rid of all the bloat and being able to freeze and unfreeze in Titanimum.

So my question is what options do I have? Can i fully unroot a debloated ROM or would I need to flash a stock unrooted OC1 ROM? Also, is the fact that my Samsung boot screen shows as unlocked an issue? I know that simply removing SuperSU isn't enough. I don't want to do anything that is going to prevent me from changing my mind down the road and going back to a rooted ROM which I know means not installing anything after OC1.

Any help would be appreciated.

Well i rooted and flashed a System.img with FastBoot and i want to know how can i unroot because i want to try out the 1 click method then upgrade to the latest version V2.20.40.90 i dont have a linux computer so i got the system.img online also i am planning to unlock the bootloader so i can use twrp

I Flashed it with Fastboot with the WorldWide ROM to get it to work for me in Canada and it works but i want to update since there is alot of issues that the new update will fix but i still use alot of root since i use root uninstaller and Titanium Backup and alot of Root Benifit like moving the app to system apps and freezing and my favourite remove the Bloatware

If you guys need the System.img to check it out if its broken or something tell me and i will upload it to my MEGA Account or DropBox or OneDrive or Google Drive if any of these are blocked in you country but this is only for look at and i dont know if i am going to break the rules but sorry if i did but i am really in need since my phone i am doing new stuff and the OS is starting to get buggy and also the flash look horrible and the update fixs it


Also if anybody can make me a PreRooted System.img for (ZE551ML WW 2.20.40.90)

Nexus 5 OS not installed TWRP, Trying to unroot

Hey guys, so I've rooted my phone a couple of times and everything's worked fine. I have a rooted Nexus 5, and I screwed around with it too much, anyway all I wanted to do was to reset it to factory condition and unroot it.
I screwed up, and I erased the OS, and TWRP says "No OS installed, do you want to reboot?". I've done this before and, I've used the ADB sideload method to reset it, so naturally I decided to do it again and followed the steps from this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2559200. Unfortunately this time when I got to step 12, it didn't list my device, and when I continued to step 13 it said, "error: device '(null)' not found". I've redownloaded the usb driver for the nexus but nothing seems to be working.

Is It Possible To Unroot Nexus 6 and Lock the Bootloader without a pc?

I spent two hours with "AT&T CUSTOMER SERVICE" Wednesday night trying to get them to activate a brand new sim card I had them mail to me in November 2014. So if anything ever happened to my Nexus 6, like the charging port being so loose, that I had to have a wireless charging pad two days shipped to me, because my Nexus 6 wouldn't accept a charge anthing cable or chargers. I tried over a dozen. Two hours and they were unsuccessful. They have my att. net email account wrong that I have had for almost 6 years wrong. So she couldn't email me the pin verification. I spent four hours yesterday at a friend's house using their cell phone, landline and computer, had my real att. net email address open and went through four different agents that for one reason or another could not get that sim card verified or the last guy said "he wasn't going to risk his job and my security, (lol), and activate my sim card when my sim card number isn't even close to the number the same unused brand new sim card AT&T sent me in November, so I could switch back to my Samsung Galaxy S4.

I got the same girl that tried to help me by using her cell, her new Samsung tablet for the first two hours with customer service drive me to another an AT&T Store, a 60 MILE ROUND TRIP. I walked in told the manager about the six hours of the frustrating unsuccessful attempts to get this S4 activated. He took the back off, popped the battery out, scanned the IMEI, put the battery in it, put the back on and handed it back to me in about two minutes and powered it up and said that it should work now. It did. I told him that I bet you could train two monkeys to activate sim cards, it's not THAT complicated. I used to switch cells back and forth all the time years ago on Verizon. Why doesn't AT&T have a set up like that? That works?

I need to send it back to Motorola, so they can send me a brand NEW Nexus 6, instead of AT&T sending me a refurbished replacement that I am paying 0.00 for? A cell that now sells for less than half what I am paying for this one.

From what I have read you can't flash a zip of the factory image and make TWRP and SuperSU and Busybox without being able to connect Nexus 6 to a computer using a usb cord.

Unroot Issue

Hi guys, I'm having this issue with my 915G
I rooted the phone, but now I'd like to unroot it,
I tried trough superSu doing "unroot" options, reboot it in recovery mode and doing factory reset and wipe cache and than with Odin I reinstalled a latest firmware, but the still showing me that the phone status is custom and I can' get OTA because of that.
What am I doing wrong?

Can't OTA update my m8 after unroot

Hey guys! Since my phone needed repairs I unrooted my HTC one m8. Now somehow I cannot install the ota updates anymore even though I should be unrooted and have stock firmware. Any ideas?

How can I unroot my Galaxy S4 sgh-i337, using a Mac?

Can anyone please explain to me how I can un-root my S4 SGH-i337? I am a Mac user, so it's very hard to find the information out there that doesn't include Odin, etc. Thanks for your help.
