Trouble rooting Note 4 T-Mobile

I am having a hard time rooting my t-mobile note 4. Running 5.0.1. When I get to the point where I am supposed to press and hold power, home, and volume up to boot into TWRP, my screen goes to the android robot saying "installing updates" and then to "no command." The phone then goes into stock recovery where I can wipe the partition or reboot and what not. I am stuck. I have rooted phones in the past and never ran into this. I have no idea where to move to from here.

Having Trouble Getting Back to Sense After Converting to GPE

Okay, so the other day I decided to convert my HTC One M8 to a Google Play Edition (I mean the full conversion with OTA updates and everything, not just a GPE ROM). It was nice for a few minutes, but I immediately started to miss Sense, and I'm not a big fan of stock Lollipop like I thought I'd be. So, I used an online tutorial to restore back to Sense, except when I tried to install the custom Sense ROM I was using before the conversion (LeeDroid) via TWRP, I got an error during the install in AROMA that said "set_perm: some changes failed". Then the install failed completely. I tried wiping Data, Cache, and Dalvik Cache again, but that didn't help. Then I tried wiping the System partition, but that didn't help either. I also tried other ROMs like Android Revolution HD and SkyDragon, and those installs both returned similar errors. I can flash CyanogenMod without any problems.

I know that converting to Google Play Edition changes the partition sizes (specifically the System partition), but I followed a tutorial and successfully factory reset my phone via the stock Recovery...so the partitions should be back to normal. I also re-flashed the firmware version I had before (4.16.401.10), so that can't be the issue. But just to experiment, I also flashed an older firmware version (specifically 1.54.401.5) and an older version of TWRP (2.7.1.0) and then installed ViperOneM8 v. 1.6.0 (which is over a year old). For some reason, that worked just fine and I can run KitKat and Sense 6...but why won't Lollipop work?

I'm sorry if this is confusing, but in a nutshell, I can't flash any Lollipop, Sense-based ROMs. I get either a "set_perm: some changes failed" or "some symlinks failed" error during installation in AROMA Installer. I really don't know what those errors even mean, which is part of my confusion. Does anyone have any advice?

trouble mounting sd card on cm roms

i am using m8(int version) with sense based different roms nicely with s-on.
but when i want to switch to cm based roms , all is fine but no file manager seeing my sd card, setting/storage/mount sd card nothing happens after click.
seems may be kernel related?, but i dont change kernels, i just keep same and flash rom and gapps.

Trouble for installing ROM on Z7 mini

Hello everyone, here is what troubles me these days :

On my Nubia Z7 mini (v1.20) I have problems to flash new ROMs ("NubiaZ7Mini_1.42_V2.8-Cuoco92", OR "blob5" OR "R3-1.82_TWRP_2.8.1.0_NX507J_Cuoco92&BB72"). I get everytime the message of e-verification failed....

My phone is rooted (Kingoroot) but I can't update binary SU using Super SU ou KingoSuperuser, it just doesn't work !

My recovery is TWRP 2.8.1.

What can be done to have a non-prehistoric version of software.

Trouble installing apps

Hello on Thursday I bought me a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+. I think it is a pretty cool phone but I have some problems. Whenever I try to install big games from Google play store I get error 905 when leaving playou store. I also cannot install apk files. I get the error: application not installed
I tried to install all versions of Modern combat 4 (also 1.1.7e compatible with android lollipop) but I get the same error.
It is very annoying for me, to pay so much for such a smartphone and get such errors.

Trouble With CyanogenMod 12.1!

Hello Guys! :) Just decided to flash a new rom to my phone. Installation went good (wipped and installed rom and gapps stock) and everything went perfectly good. There is no data connection. There is just an exclamation mark. I installed CM 12.0 to see if it was a bug related issue. I didn't connect to a wifi and noticed my data was working until I turned it off and back on and the same issue appeared. Did the same to 12.1 and it worked until I turned cellular data off and on again (and no matter if I reboot and change the APN the problem persists). Any ideas? Thank you for your time :)

Fire Phone and Chromecast - anyone else having trouble?

Hi all, I just got a Fire Phone since they're so cheap and have set it up with 4.6.3 and google play, most things seem to be working fine, but I am having some issues with my chromecast. Most apps seem to work Youtube, Beyondpod, Crunchyroll, Play Music and the Chromecast cast screen all work just fine, but Netflix doesn't seem to recognize anything besides my roommates Fire Stick, and Hulu doesn't display the cast icon at all!

Netflix and Hulu are my two most used casting apps so losing them would be a big loss, has anyone else had issues or know of a workaround?

Trouble installing an ota

One or two days ago I received an ota notification. Every time I try installing the small update, the tablet boots into TWRP, and I don't know what to do next. Why does it not simply install? The nexus 7 is rooted with an unlocked boot loader. Can anyone give me a tip on how to get the update installed?

Trouble with Recovery

Hello Xda. I am using Z2 for 2 months. Last week I downgraded my Z2 to 4.4.2 rootable version. I rooted it then installed Dual recovery. I installed PureX rom and I faced Xposed framework error. Next day I opened my phone and Xposed properly working. I really confused. I wanted to install another rom I think it was a CM rom I didn't remember; and I can't opened recovery. I tried many ways but no response about recovery. I flashed 4.4.2 again, rooted again and installed dual recovery. Dual recovery opens just 1 time and I can't open it again. I need some help.

Trouble with OK google

Has anybody else been having trouble with OK google? It doesn't pick up my voice, neither does voice typing... But the microphone icon isn't empty or hollow, it's full as if it's working

Having some trouble with slow motion playback

Hello all,
I recently purchased an LG G4 from AT&T, and I am so far, extremely satisfied with it. Overall, it's a great phone, but obviously not without it's flaws. So far, one I've found is that I can't seem to get slow motion video to play back on my device. I've looked around on the interwebs, and found that playback only works in the default "Video" app, which doesn't seem to exist in my app drawer. I see it in the app list in settings, but sadly, not anywhere where it can be opened. On top of this, the default gallery app doesn't seem to play them either (not the google photos or gallery, this is the LG gallery). If anyone has some insight into this, or a potential fix, any help would be gladly appreciated.

Trouble with TWRP on L720-T... Burned twice now...

Is anyone else having trouble getting TWRP Recovery to work right? I have literally tried everything with both the L720 models I have owned and I get screwed by TWRP every time... I have the L720-T model right now Running 5.0.1 and both a 64GB and 16GB SD Card. TWRP won't write crap to the 64GB Sandisk SD card... and when I use the 16GB Patriot SD Card, I can write a backup to it, but that's about all I can do...

When I reboot into recovery trying to restore from the backup I have created, the stupid thing just sits there for 15-20 minutes trying to verify the MD5. Finally after that 15-20 minute period, the stupid thing crashes and reboots... I really love TWRP and it worked amazing with my Droid Razr Maxx, but now it appears to be a total waste of space and time... What the crap..... Is anyone else having issues or have any guidance?

I should also note that I used KingRoot to root [a crazy Japanese rooting .apk because it was the only one that would work as all other filed for the FreedomPop Firmware, and I actually like it a lot bt dubs because it actually blocks auto start stuff 100% unlike most root tools that say they do, only for you to see it running in the Application Manager, it gives no fukks what the process system or not and says no :) ]

SD Fix as follows...
I downloaded a program to fix the write permissions, but with my 64GB SD It never would write to sd, so I even went so far as to manually change the platform.xml file myself in root->system->etc->Permissions->platform.xml to change "WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE" to contain sdcard_rw, sdcard_r and media_rw as well as change "WRITE_MEDIA_STORAGE" to contain sdcard_rw and media_rw

I can't do a custom ROM, because FreedomPop just doesn't work as good on any rom other than theirs.

If anyone can help me out, I would love you forever, or if someone can point me away from TWRP with something that works and is easy to backup and restore with, then that works also... I am just tired to getting BURNED by TWRP... I Know Titanium is an option, but I would like something that basically backs it up as a snapshot so that there is no setup crap to deal with later, I can just restore on the go and I am good.

Nabi 2 Flashing trouble with TWRP

Hello, I have a Nabi sitting around and decide to get it out, update it and put it to use. My flashing skills are novice, I do a phone or tablet once in a blue moon and it it usually been with a AIO or relatively trouble free.

I have TWRP 2.3.3.0 and the Kernel is 1.9.3.7 from last year I install custom recovery

I attempted to install Monarch UI Removed/SuperSU & SU Binaries Installed including BusyBox 3.0.13( Fuhu/Nabi/Keenhi Stuff Removed ) - n3wt when that failed I attempted Stock Rom 3.0.13 via TWRP - aicjofs

I did a full Wipe, attempted to install with TWRP and ADB sideload.

The ADB sideload reaches 100% on PC and is marked failed on the Tablet in TWRP sideload UI.
Installing in TWRP I get the following errors in the Terminal

In the mount menu I can't selec "Using internal storage" or any of the mount options.
Also all wiping options for cash and system fail.

Next I re-installed TWRP 2.3.3.0 through fastboot to make sure everything was clean and it appeared to all take, and I still get the same results trying to flash.

So I am at a loss as what to try next and would appreciate any help.

Hello, I have been messing around with clockwork mod recently but I'm having some troubles I'll list them below. if anyone could help me that would be great!

Question 1. Not sure what file to use. I am using a galaxy s4 GGt-i9505 and when I try to install CWM from the app it says jfte and if i click phone not listed it says gt19505 not supported. I'm not sure if this is the correct file to use because I looked on the clockwork mod website and seen the manual install files and found the gt-i9505 files on there. So basically my question is for the galaxy s4 do I flash the jfte CWM file or the gt-i9505 file? If I Google search jfte it says it just another name for the galaxy s4 so I'm not sure.

Question 2.I have had an issue with system ui crashing when trying to install the jfte file through the app rather than through Odin and once it says installed and reboot phone i still don't have Clockwork recovery it still is the original recovery that came with the phone. How do I fix this?

Question 3. Every time I do a backup to my external SD card it puts the date of the backup as somewhere in the 1970s and puts the time to 11pm and then when I try to restore to the backup it says MD5 mismatch and tells me the location where it sent the recovery.log and I can't get any of my backups to restore without MD5 miss match Every time. Does anyone know a solution.

I Am rooted and I am running the latest version of lolipop. Is lolipop compatible with CWM?

Trouble Navigating Sideloaded App Menu

I've sideloaded the following apps without any issue: Show Box, TVMC, and MovieHD.

After opening MovieHD I can't seem to get the menu in the upper right hand corner to open and slide out like it does on my phone to access the app menu. Currently, the only thing that shows up that I can navigate is the Movie update section. I have tried with the included remote and a bluetooth mouse.

Anyone have a fix for this issue?
