When sounds play to loud nook HD turns off

Since installing CM 10.2, my nook HD just shuts off when a sound plays too loud. I always keep my volume down so it hasn't been a problem until now, because I turned my notification sound up and now when I turn the nook on a notification sound plays because I have a new email, shutting down the tablet immediately. Can this be fixed?

Nook HD Only Blue Screen

Hello,

I have a functioning Nook HD 16gb and my daughter has a non-functioning Nook HD 8gb.

Her Nook HD only boots up to a blue screen.

I have connected it to my computer and am able to browse the file structure. There are several folders with nothing in them???

Does anyone have any suggestions of a fix for my daughter's Nook HD?

Turn this thing off! Nook HD keeps restarting

My Nook HD with CM 12.1 will not stay off when I turn it off. Takes anywhere from 3 to 20 times of powering it off to just have it act is if it was turned back on goes through the whole boot up routine.
This has done this with CM 11 on it too & I think it did it way back when I had CM 10 on it, but not as often , but I found when I was using CM 11 that if I used an app called Quickboot to shut the tablet off it would stay off, but it doesn't help with CM 12.1

Any suggestions on what I can do to get thing to turn off?
Other then the not turning off problem it is working great with CM 12.1

New to Android and Have a Nook Color

Hello, I'm new to the Android OS have had an iPhone ever since they came out and Blackberry before this so android is quite foreign to me. I've been trying to follow along with some guides posted in these forums but I'm having trouble following along as they have a lot of click here or there or go to this post for directions etc... What I'm looking for is a basic instructions with all applicable download links so I can install the latest possible Android OS. From what I've gathered that would be Android Kit Kat. (Unless Lollipop works.)

I don't want to root so I'm looking for options with dual booting via an SD Card. I followed a guide (can't post link sine I have less than 10 posts) but it was for CM 10 and Android Jelly bean. It was easy to follow but I can't get it to work the the updated Android OS and Gapps. I like to have the latest and greatest and hoping that maybe the new version will be a bit snappier (maybe not.)

Can anyone point me in the right direction to do this similar to how the link I posted did?

Multirom for nook possible?

My nook hd+ is running cm11 kk 4.4.4 and I love it. My problem is that the Bluetooth support for wiimote and ps3 controller is broken On versions 4.2 and higher. I'd like to play my emu games with one or the other. I want to boot to cm 10.2 when I'd like to play my games. Multirom doesn't support ovation though. Any suggestions??

Please Help: Forgot Password to Login to Nook Color

I originally had CM 7 loaded on my Nook Color, but after a while, it got real sluggish and sometimes crashed, so I had not been using it for a year or two. But recently I decided to give it another try and update it to CM 10.2..1. But when I got to the login screen, it kept on saying that my email/password is invalid. Due to the time that has elapsed, I have forgotten the password. I thought that it was the same password as the one used for my email address, but that was not the case. It's just been too long since I've used the NC, and forgot the password. I don't see any "Forgot Password" or "Password Reset" option. And creating a new account is definitely not an option, because I have purchased apps under the previous account, so I need to retrieve my password. Can someone help this newbie get my password back so I can login back to my old account? Thanks in advance for your help!

Nook Tablet - CyanogenMod installation aborted Status 0

I have a Nook Tablet (16GB) that I'm trying to install CyanogenMod on.
I followed the CM wiki acclaim directions EXACTLY

After wiping/factory reset, cache wipe, and dalvik cache wipe, I go to install CM from zip. I end up with an "installation aborted status 0" error message.

I'm using the latest CM release for acclaim.

Any help?

brick nook hd+?

Hey everyone, I have a nook hd+ rooted with cm 11 nightly and was experiencing lag and crashes often. I tried to install twrp latest version through the play store as I had the cwm recovery originally. After the install process, as I was trying to tap boot into recovery, it rebooted regularly instead, and now my tablet is bricked. It keeps flashing the "nook" logo and turns off and on again in loops. Is there any possible solution to salvage this tablet by doing something with a sd card? Any help or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks :(
