Missing gestures

I've looked through the chop chop motion thread, but that didn't really cover any other gestures.

The official page for the gestures of the moto x style (pure) is here: https://motorola-global-portal.custh...p/30,6720,9541
It covers 4 gestures:

1. Wave to Silence

2. Twist for Quick Capture

3. Approach for Moto Display

4. Chop twice for flashlight

My European (Dutch) version of the Moto X Play only has one gestures in the Motion App: Twist for Camera app. The other gestures aren't listed. The chopchop motion apparently has been taken out for various reasons and the other thread had quite a discussion going about getting that back. I haven't seen anything about the 'Wave for silence' or 'Approach for display'.

Now I guess a lack of gyroscope would explain the initial removal of the Chopping, but not so much the wave/approach gesture. That should still be possible, assuming the phone has IR/Motion sensors on the front?

Screen off gestures

Hi guys!
I know there are some old threads about tap2wake feature and so on. But I want to point your attention to a different perspective: gestures. Wouldn' it be useful to launch some apps (camera, google translate, whatsapp, qr code scanner etc) from a simple gesture on your screen when it is off? I think it would be. I'm not a dev, just an android enthusiast. I have no idea how much the implementation of these features can be difficult. But I l'd like to have some opinions by someone who know more than me about the principal difficulties to realize it. If I'm not wrong Nexus 5 has these features(at least tap2wake) thanks to elementalX kernel, it has snapdragon 800 as note 3, so i think it would be possible to implement. Just curious, I'm not saying "please do this, my life depends on it", I'm feeling really good with my note 3 as it is, but I think it would be useful and cool[emoji13] [emoji13].

Screen off gestures dont work!

After receiving a replacement handset I set up the phone and everything was working great! However, after finishing setting it up, I.e. Receiving and successfully installing the 5.1 update, I turned on the screen gestures and created a pass code. But upon trying them out, they didn't work! Double tapping the screen and swiping up while the screen is off to unlock both do nothing!
