[WIP][DEV] GNU/Linux Sailfish OS 1.1.6 Aaslakkajarvi

Sailfish OS 1.1.6(Aaslakkajarvi)

Quote:

An independent, partner friendly operating system that fosters innovation. It’s unlike what you’re used to. But once you get the hang of the gesture based Sailfish OS, you’ll never want to go back. The highly adaptive Sailfish OS contains Open Source Software building blocks, welcoming collaboration or simply, free-time hacking.

Current issues
  • /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/ needs to be created and populated by hand

  • Pulseaudio needs to be configured, configs from hammerhead can be used

  • usb_moded needs to be blacklisted for telnet to be working

  • Install zip doesn't flash boot image correctly, needs to be done manually for now

  • Some more stuff i need to recall

Will be fixed in some days/weeks/months depending on my time or on others(feel free to contribute!, make changes, send them to me(pull request in gitlab, patch by email/pm) and we'll improve sailfish together)

What works(after you fixed my incomplete stuff)?
  • Display

  • Sound

  • Wifi

If you want to try the stuff i dumped on MEGA

  1. Wipe data and system

  2. Install latest cm11 package

  3. Install sailfish package

  4. Reboot into flashboot and flash boot image

  5. Boot, telnet into the phone(192.168.2.1 2323, setup usb network on the host as 192.168.2.2)

  6. Fix init script, add systemd service to create and link missing /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/ partitions

  7. Make sure /firmware and /persist get mounted, otherwise fix the systemd scripts

  8. Reboot and hope you'll get a userinterface

  9. Figure out the rest yourself :)
